I needed to repair my microwave. The technician identified the issue and his manager (on the phone) provided a $600 quote = $400 (part) + $200 (labor). I asked the technician to show me the broken part. He gave me a piece that he called a broken 'relay'. When I started searching online for the details about this "Klixon 8ea3b3 25 f4r" relay, I realized the part was $30. Suddenly the technician "had to go". And when I refused to pay $150 to the manager, he called me "motherf...ker" and hang up. I researched further and realized that the Klixon 8ea3b3 part is not a microwave relay but a positive temperature coefficient (PTC) motor starter for fridges. The only issue with my microwave was a $5 blown fuse. Advanced Appliance Repair NYC LLC is trying to scam people $100s of dollars by pretending pieces need to be changed, when it's not needed, and these pieces are not even part of the appliance! In addition, they behave in a threatening manner and insult customers.

The company was prompt in dispatching a service technician. We do not doubt his knowledge as he diagnosed the problem quickly, and was, unfortunately, the same problem we would previously have with our Electrolux oven. We received an estimate and were told that the part was ordered. That is where the problems began. Week after week, we could not get updates on the status of the part (which we were told would be 3-5 days max from the tech visit). A different rep each time said they had no insight and would reach out to a manager - which may or may not exist. We gave the invoice number for the parts/labor, etc., to no avail. The phone number on their website is not functioning and the info-related website bounced back. If this is a new company, as noted on Home Advisor, they deserve to fail. The courtesy of a call back, which was repeatedly promised, never came.
