I contacted Angi’s List on September 14th about an electrical problem with my power going on and off. Ken from Advanced Electric responded quickly and came out the same day. He immediately identified the problem, was very concerned about the safety of everyone in the household, and made the situation safe until he could return the next day to complete the repair. He was punctual, professional, knowledgeable and the price was very reasonable. I highly recommend Advanced Electric for their excellent service and quick response.

Great work, lovely man. Couldn't have been better. I'm very happy with my new ceiling fan and wall mount for the remote control. Ken bought the fan himself, saving me the trouble, and did not charge for time spent doing that. I am happy to support this business and will call him again when needed and refer him to others. (The price below is give or take $10. I don't remember exactly how much the work cost.)

Ken is a great electrician with a great personality as well. My two GFCI outlets were not working. He realized it was a short and fixed it for a reasonable price. There is a reason he has a 5 star rating on Angie's list. Call him up for his free phone estimate and you will see what I'm talking about. He's definitely the first person I will call for any future electrical problems in the Bronx area.

After reading his great reviews on Angie’s List, I knew I wanted to contact him about 2 GFCI outlets that were not working. I called him to get an estimate on how much it would cost to fix both of them since he provides free phone estimates. He took his time on the phone explaining his pricing and his pricing seemed reasonable so I decided to hire him. I had multiple problems with my outlets. The outlets had a loose connection and there was a short. He spent in total about 3.5 hours trying to fix it. One of the times that he thought it was fixed, we tested both outlets and both worked so I paid him and he left. About 10 minutes after he left, I called him to tell him it wasn’t working and he said he he would come back immediately. He came back right away and this time the problem was fixed for good. He gave me a 6 month warranty on the outlets too. Ken is an honest guy and he’s really friendly too. At a time when most contractors are taking advantage of this pandemic and overcharging, Ken is clearly not. After he got paid and left, he could have not answered my phone call or told me he would come back a different day because he had other appointments to get to. Obviously he didn’t do that. He cares about helping people and doing the right thing for the customer. Needless to say, he will be the first person that I call the next time I have an electrical problem.

Amazing work. I called late on Monday night, stating I needed help as half of my home was not getting power. Ken was able to come out next day and fix my breakers. He was prompt with timing, knowledgeable and friendly. He was able to walk my through what he was doing and why which is great as novice to home repairs. 10/10 will phone him again for all future repairs.

Mr Lanier was very knowledgeable and efficient. We had two sockets that were completely dead, and two sockets that would cause all the lights to go off if the AC was plugged in. After seeing Mr Lanier, those problems are a thing of the past! All dead sockets were replaced & now working with no problems! I would recommend Mr Lanier to fix any electrical issues you may have!

After reading the many positive reviews on Angi for Advanced Electric I reached out and was immediately impressed with Mr. Lanier’s professionalism, friendliness and honesty. I needed a separate outlet and circuit breaker voltage for my air conditioner to operate on its own. He came to my apartment and explained everything necessary to get the job done right and was very thorough so I knew exactly what to expect. He gave me two options of going into the wall or an outside casing. I chose the latter. We picked a date, which I had to reschedule because of jury duty, and he was very flexible. I have nothing but great things to say and would definitely recommend Mr. Lanier. He is highly professional, knowledgeable, dependable, competent and has a high regard for what the customer wants. If you are looking for a professional that will be on time, communicate clearly, complete the work exactly as you desire and provide a level of service rarely found these days, look no further. Ken has been our go-to electrician for the past several years, and has completed projects large and small for our house ranging from a simple switch repair to complex installation of a new circuit and breaker box in our garage. Last Spring he installed the wiring and emergency shut-off switch for a split unit air system, which required running a conduit from the basement to the second floor. We have now used the new system through a hot summer and a cold winter, and everything has worked perfectly. For the larger projects, Ken has always been happy to make adjustments as needed to accommodate evolving requirements. He is professional and courteous and I recommend him without hesitation.

KEN, from Advanced Electric, did an excellent job. The cost to do the job was very reasonable. He arrived on time and kept us informed every step of the way. He upgraded our outdated electrical panels and circuit breakers doing all work to code, correcting wiring issues found along the way. I have an old house in the Woodlawn section of the Bronx, built in 1910. I’ve had at least 3 electricians work on it, but I’ve used only Ken exclusively since I first contacted him in February 2019. Since then he’s done some simple things like replace old power outlets and light fixtures, but also some more complicated projects like installing a 220 power outlet for a stove in our basement. Most recently he installed an electric car charger in my garage, definitely a non-trivial project, especially given how old our house is. Ken is very professional, dependable, and extremely competent. His prices are reasonable and I trust his instincts, especially regarding safety which is critical for an electrician. He provides valuable suggestions at the start of a project which often save me money. He’s also a great guy and a joy to work with. I hope he never retires.

Ken was fantastic! He came to do an estimate in record time and was clear about everything he would take care of. I needed my whole house upgraded, repairs done, sockets upgraded, new sockets created, old ones removed, circuit breaker box repaired and upgraded, lighting installed, an old, over the stove microwave removed and a new over the stove exhaust fan installed. He also repaired my bathroom exhaust fan with a new motor. He worked for several days and was meticulous in his work. He was also careful about COVID issues and though he was vaccinated as I was, he still wore a mask the whole time he was here. Very respectful and responsive. A couple of unexpected challenges came up and he dealt with all of them perfectly. I couldn't have had a better experience. I felt that his price was reasonable and fair and would recommend him highly to friends and others. I would definitely call him back for any other issues. Thanks Ken!!!
