We hired Advanced Roofing & Exteriors to change our existing roof entirely. They moved very fast and had an excellent crew working every day. The most professional crew i've ever met and cleaned the site every day before they left to go home. Very nice team and couldn't have worked any harder. Huge credit to Josh Miller who got this done in record time and pulled it all together. I would recommend them 100%!!!

I highly recommend Advanced Roofing and Exteriors. Rob Long has been terrific. I was introduced to Rob/Advanced Roofing and Exteriors by my realtor. We are new to the Lake Norman area, moving from out of state. Our roof had a leak after Florence, then another issue after Hurricane Michael. Rob went the extra mile to diagnosis the second issue and identified as a potential chimney cap leak. Diagnosing can be tricky and he left nothing up to chance. It could have done significant interior damage. Pricing was reasonable, but more importantly, service was delivered better than expected and very timely. An exceptional experience.

The service was excellent. The gentlemen arrived at our property at the scheduled time, clear notification and communication regarding the services was provided pre and post completion. The workers were courteous to my family and tidy, leaving no materials behind once the work was finished. Excellent repair of another contractor's work, easily identified our problem and corrected someone else's mistake.

They responded quickly.  Scheduled an appointment for the next day, and then called later to say they had a cancellation for the afternoon and did we want them to come on over.  We did.  They did.  Awesome. <br />

The crew showed up on time on the assigned date.  The old roof was removed by 10am and the roofing job was completed by the end of the evening on the same day (3800 sq. ft house).  Workmanship appears to be good and the clean-up was very good.  An employee came out again the next day to do another magnet sweep for nails. <br /> I have given Advanced Roofing & Exteriors an F rating on price for the following reason:  While the price quoted was similar to the other 2 vendors, my wife was more comfortable with Darryl and the company.  On the Angie's List website, Advanced Roofing & Exteriors indicates that they accept payment in a variety of methods, including credit card (VISA).  When we went to pay for the job, we were told that they did not accept credit cards for repairs over $500.  Neither the quote we received from Advanced Roofing & Exteriors nor the final bill indicated that they did not accept credit cards for repairs/replacements over $500.  This came as a complete surprise to us.  We wanted to use our credit card in order to get the points associated with this large spend.  A company representative told us that Angie's List doe not allow them to modify the section related to payment (indicated it was a yes or no answer only) and told us that if we wanted to pay by credit card, we would need to pay an ADDITIONAL $259.47 .  I believe this to be false advertising as the site indicates that they accept credit cards, the quote does not have a disclaimer and the final bill does not have a disclaimer.  Seems to me that this is the old "bait and switch' technique, in my opinion.  We definitely would NOT have used this vendor if we had known that they did not accept credit cards.  We wrote the check and mailed it after correspondence.  The company did offer to reduce the fee to $100, but that does not offset the reward points.  I since contacted the other 2 vendors and they both said that they accept credit cards and would not mark up the invoice if that was my choice.  I had provided to my daughter and son-in-law Advanced Roofings contact info for their roof replacement job ($8,500)before I was duped, but have since pulled that recommendation.  They have checked with their other quotes and credit cards are accepted.  Either Angie's List or Advanced Roofing needs to change their business practice.   <br /> <br /> With regards to the Company's response below, their own individual website states that they accept credit cards and there is no mention of a limit.  So I am not buying the excuse that  it is only Angie's List that will not allow them to modify that payment section.  Seems like on YOUR OWN website you would have this modified so as not to mislead potential customers.  Seems to me that if you have two separate and independent websites that state you accept credit cards, then that is what you should do.  Potential buyers can validate this by going to your website at www.advancedroofingandexteriors.com, go to the "About" tab and go to the FAQ section.  As of 3/18/16, this is what is stated on the Company's website: <br /> <br /> What types of payment do you accept? <br /> We accept cash, checks and credit cards. <br /> <br /> I don't know about anyone else, but I don't see where you mention a $500 limit on credit cards.  Certainly on your OWN website you are able to disclose this to potential customers.  I would suggest that your company, at the very least, denote this on your own website (unless you believe that will keep your company from getting business).  As to the comment that "Had we know (sic) your intention was to pay with a credit card, we would have had this discussion before work commenced."  Any other vendor we have ever used or any store we have ever been in that stated it accepted credit cards has always honored their statement. and I have NEVER had to tell them beforehand I was paying with a credit card.

Here's the kicker, I called them about a minor leak on my A/C vent, 5 Years after they did the job. This is not due to any issue with their work, but normal wear. They came to my home right away, did the repair and charged a low rate. I like that you can call an speak to the owner and get a quick, professional response. Highly recommended!!! <br />

There was a hail storm while we were on vacation. We got back from vacation and there was water in our house. There were 4 rooms with water damage. They worked with us and our insurance adjuster to get the file claimed. They fixed it within 1 day. They removed everything from the porch and around the house so it wouldn't get damaged and they put it back. It looks so beautiful. We have architecture shingles. They matched the shingles perfectly and put a better quality shingle on than we previously had. I have never been so impressed with a roofer before. The service was incredible and the people were very knowledgeable. Also, they take very good care of their employees and are concerned for their safety.

They were prompt, courteous and got the job done to my satisfaction.  Would definitely use again. <br />

The end result looks very good.  We were worried for a few weeks because they had to leave most of the moss in order to kill it with whatever product they use.  We were told we need to wait for the product to work and for periods of rain to have a rinsing effect.  Ultimately, the treatment worked and we are particularly happy with the improvement of the appearance of our chimney. <br />

Painters were very good. Great job! <br />

We had preliminary discussions on the work that was to be performed.  Darryl and his team were highly professional and provided excellent customer service.  All of the services were performed and completed to our satisfaction. We even had our gutters upgraded with no problems.  The roofing team showed up very early to work and the roof was complete by 4:30 pm that same day-they worked diligently and efficiently all day long.  The tin roof was replaced on another day and they also did an excellent job on ensuring a quality job.  The workers even took the time to explain the work that they were performing. <br /> <br /> <br />

Darryl and his team met the price of their estimate and did an excellent job of repairing our roof. After the heaving rains we had here in Charlotte recently (2+ inches in our area) I can say with confidence that they restored the integrity of our roof. The team that arrived on site was very professional and cleaned up all of areas in which they were working. Job well done. <br />

The roof had been replaced 4 years ago but old flashing was used. The old flashing leaked causing damage.

It went well.  The performance was excellent.  Kevin Sweeny dispatched a crew with a crew chief that was well experienced for the particular needs that I had communicated to him.  They were very efficient and thorough and worked closely with me to insure a good job/quality workmanship.  One example is my HD Satellite TV Dish was carefully lifted, shingles were inserted and the dish was replaced carefully and functioned well after minor adjustments (without the vendor's intervention).  A company supervisor made several visits to insure the job was proceeding properly (great quality control). <br />

They did fabulous work.

Kevin and his team came to my house and spent some time on the roof to get a good understanding of the areas that needed fixing.  I received 4 bids for the work and Kevin took a common sense approach to his bid without throwing in a bunch of extra work.  I liked his approach and pricing better than the other companies bids.  Kevin's team did the work in two days and I could not be happier with the work.  I no longer have water coming into my house and the new slope of the roof looks like it was designed that way from the beginning.  Kevin's team did the work quickly and professionally and I would recommend them to anyone. <br />

Workmen arrived on site, diagnosed the problem, set a date to make repairs. Came a couple of days later then planned due to rain. Very professional.
