Advance Waterproofing

Provider was professional, on time, quick and efficient.  Left my work area perfectly clean (even though my house was a mess!).  I have not had any problem with the leak since the repair.  I don't recall Big Deal cost but the work was covered under just the amount of the Big Deal.  No additional cost was proposed, which was a very nice bonus! <br />

<p>The contractor came and performed the work on the spot.  The issues is it did not completely stop the water leaking from the foundation to the basement.  Whenever there is down pulling, I got some rain water from the same location where one of the crack the contractor was supposed to sealed. I called the contractor couple of times, asking them come to check and fix the job. not response.  I also email them through Angieslist, no response either.</p> <br />

There has not yet been a large rainfall since the work was performed, so it is difficult to offer judgment on the effectiveness of the work at this point.  The workers seemed professional and did a good job of understanding the nature of the problem.  .  <br />

I scheduled the appointment after purchasing the "Angie's Big Deal".  The appointment was set for 3/29 @ 10 AM.  When the 29th rolled around the gentleman from Advanced Waterproofing arrived at the house at 9 AM instead of 10 AM.  I was at an appointment and explained ahead of time that I wouldn't be home. <br /> My fiancée happened to be home at the time and she did her best to walk the guy through the problems.  He drew up an estimate but it lacked numerous items that I needed to have quoted.  Adv Waterproofing scheduled me for a follow up appointment on Saturday, April 12th in the afternoon.  I received no phone call and no one showed up.  I have since followed up twice via email and still have heard nothing. <br /> The unfortunate part is that I wanted to have the work completed by now and I was ready to buy.  Without getting a full estimate and the fact that they have not contacted me I couldn't proceed with them. <br /> Several other reviews talk about how Advanced Waterproofing "disappears" on them or doesn't return phone calls.  This is the sign of a poorly run business.  Not matter how good the work product is if they can't handle scheduling and work loads then you end up with plenty of lost business and unhappy customers.  I will now seek out a new waterproofer to take care of my house and yard. <br />

I felt it was a very straightforward process and we will have to decide in coming months whether to proceed this year. It's an expensive fix, but I expected that. PS I don't remember exactly what the special deal was. Perhaps about $50... <br />

I have shopped around for companies who specialize in "flat roofs." After several estimates and talking with several companies, I decided to go with Titan Construction. <br /> <br /> Wesley, who was the main person from the company came over and explained to me that he had done several roofs like mine and we went over the issues with our roof. He sent me a proposal with 3 options. Not having done a complete roof teardown, I opted for option 1 which was the most labor intensive and through. Since I have not had experience with "flat roofs" I thought that option was the best choice. <br /> <br /> Wesley continued to contact me and we started work the week of September 7. I realized that I might need a permit from the Village of Wilmette and asked Wesly. He said it was in the proposal that we provide a permit. I got a little nervous and Wes brought a permit to my home. <br /> <br /> The workers started to work on the roof midweek. They were very professional.They cleaned up after their work.  After a few days, they were finishing up and I encountered exposed wood beams on a couple of sides on our house. Since I did not have any experience with "flat roofs" I did not review the terms of the proposal. I also wanted to change the color of our roof gutters and fascia from white to a light brown.  When the worker installed the fascia, I realized the top of the fascia did not match the bottom. <br /> <br /> I got back with Wesley to explain my concern. He quickly came over with one of his men and we went over the issue. It turned out to be a misunderstanding. <br /> <br /> Wesley agreed that the roof "as is" did not look good and winter was fast approaching. He said he would add soffit to the sides of the house and add the same color fascia so it matched. They came back the next week and did a very professional job. <br />   <br /> I think this company is very reasonabaly priced. I think Wesley and his team know what they are doing. I would just let you know if you are doing a construction project on a roof that you do research the terms and go over everything before beginning work so you are both on the same page.

He came out promptly whereas many other companies were not able to come out for at least a week. He did a very good job and gave a lifetime warranty on the work.

Estimate was very reasonable, but few details and very little explanation about operation of proposed system would work were given.

My experience was okay.  Scheduling went well. The technician was nice and arrived on time. He did not use any equipment to test anything.  I had some flooding at the time and I was expecting for him to test moisture levels. All he did was give me advice on what to do.

The house we purchased had some water come in the basement when there was big rain. I purchased, and they called to schedule right away. Someone came right next day and gave us the estimate. So far we are very satisfied with the provider. <br /> Today, we hired them to waterproof the basement and I will write a review on their waterproofing when all is done tomorrow. <br />

From our first appointment to discuss a solution to basement seepage - everyone at Advance Waterproofing has been completely professional, responsive and knowledgeable.   Seepage no more!!  Problem solved and what really sold us on the company is the lifetime transferrable guarantee - that's important to us if we ever put house on the market.  We have had one occasion to call them back, just a week or two after project was complete, and it was just regarding the battery in the battery back-up of sump pump - resolved.   Completely satisfied with the project and Advance Waterproofing!

Excellent experience. Quick response. Showed up earlier than expected and did the job on the spot. Thorough but quick work and cleaned up when complete. Matched pricing of competitor. Would definitely use them again.

For the most part, I was satisfied with the work. The owner was very nice; very timely. He came out on a weekend and gave us an estimate. He was very accommodating. He was supposed to come out and follow up on something I need. I don?t think he did that. He came out and gave a good price. I will use him again in the future.

They were very courteous when they were here working. I think that they over charged me for all the work they had done. They showed up on time to do the work.
