Affordable Appliance Repairs

The worst ever service experience I've ever had. The repair person had absolutely no idea what he was doing. When I suggested he take a look at the instructions with illustrations that were in the owners manual, he refused several times. He also tried to pry parts open. I had to insist that he stop that, but he did it again anyway. I informed him he needed to remove the back panel of the door to switch the parts, he did so reluctantly and then appeared not to know what to do. I let him puzzle it out for a little while longer and then found he had opened and popped up the top of the dryer. He claimed he had to do that to get the door off (not so). I finally insisted that he look at the instructions in the manual. After about another 20 minutes or so, he said he thought he figured it out, but it would take a while. When asked how long, he claimed probably an hour or more. I knew it shouldn't take that long and at that point I told him I had no faith he would do the job properly. He then picked up his tools and left, leaving me with a taken-apart dryer door and loose parts. He made a comment that they didn't do too many dryer door reversals and that this model was only a few months old, so he wasn't familiar with it. In fact, the dryer was 16 months old. I tried to contact the company, but was unable to get through or leave a message. Several days later when a competent repair person arrived, he was able to complete the reversal in 30 minutes. He also pointed out that the original repair person pried open the top of the dryer and showed me the marks his screwdriver made. The top of that dryer should have been opened by loosening the screws or bolts on the back of the dryer. By prying the top open from the front, the original repair person damaged the springs, which had to be repaired by the second repair person so that the dryer would work (it wouldn't start until it that issue was fixed). All in all, I would never, ever use this company again, and would advise anyone considering them to look elsewhere.

Service technician was very courteous and professional. Showed up on time and was very informative as to what needed to be repaired on my dryer.

Technician came to house and quoted $1,000 to replace linear compressor. I told him I needed to think about it and called them back after two days. The office personnel said they refuse to replace linear compressors and I needed to call someone else. I called Better Homes Appliance repair who came out and said it was NOT a linear compressor. Since the problem was misdiagnosed and they refused to repair, I asked for my money back. After several attempts at getting a refund, the answer was "Don't ******* Call", and a hang up.

Wonderful service works like new

While my washer did need a new door to tub gasket, that did not fix my leaking problem in spite of the tech saying he tested it with no leaks. I called again & left a message that it was still leaking...haven't heard back yet. I fixed it myself. The tech was not professional (walked out to get something & left the door wide open), wore no mask (when discussing it with the office I was informed that you have to ask the tech to wear a mask), and left the old part/new box on the floor. Unfortunately my appliance was unrepairable, the drum inside completely came apart and it was more economical to buy a new one, but I was called to set up appointment window within a minute of placing the request on Angie’s list. Dustin then arrived 20 minutes before the appointment window. That never happens, usually it is at the end or after the window. He was knowledgeable, courteous, and professional. Would absolutely call again.

Not good I need my oven temps fixed, he broke all the gas lines under the burners trying to remove the top. Blames Thermador design. Ask him to replace the seals in my Monogram separate refrigerator and freezer. When he left today he took the seals with him because he couldn’t get the puckers out of the seals. He left me with a freezer without a seal. He didn’t even put the old one back n the freezer. His experience level is low. I would like my $65.00 back. I have Thermador coming out to fix my stove and refrigerator and freezer. This repair man is costing me because I now have to pay to repair my stove.

Dustin was a pleasure to work with from start to finish and the price was very reasonable. We have a GE Profile frig that's not very old and the frig part stopped cooling. The freezer still worked. Dustin knew what was wrong with it immediately, ordered the part, and came back the next day to fix it. This was actually above and beyond because the next day was Saturday, and they don't normally work weekends, but he didn't want to see us go all weekend without a broken refrigerator. He could have just said "I'll see you on Monday" but he got up early on a Saturday, went and picked up the part and had us fixed by 9:30am. Thanks Dustin!

Mr. T Appliance work hard and got the job done. I would use him again.

Absolutely the worst company, completely unprofessional. The repair "kid" knew nothing about repairing appliances, in fact his attempt to repair the appliance made things worse. When confronted about the issues the owner was rude and told us to go find somebody else. If i were to guess I would say that this isn't the first time he has told a customer that. Affordable doesn't always mean quality, buyer beware you might want to consider going somewhere else before you waste time and money and just end up having the owner tell you to go somewhere else anyways.

Bad news, but we got a used dryer that was actually recommended by the service tech, so it all worked out well.

Overall Excellent. Refrigerator is 5 years old. Water dispenser stopped working. The technician knew immediately what needed to be done from my description of the problem and the sounds the refrigerator made. This is apparently a common problem and he had the part needing replacement with him so he gave us an exact quote and on our approval of the work order, he went to his truck to get the part and started the install. During the testing of the install, the part failed so a second unit needed to be installed with success. The Technician was respectful, informative, and professional.

Good as far as his being nice guy. Felt comfortable having him in my home. Very puntual and professional. Problem was i need a new oven afyet only 5 years. Won't buy LG again.
