I bought a washer and dryer set from this provider. For both (and they were a bit older), it was only $350 total. They delivered it and installed it for free! I ordered it on a Tuesday and was doing my laundry by Friday- very, very easy. They also offered a free 30 day warranty. I did not have to use it and have yet to have any issues with the laundry machines. I'm extremely glad I did not pay for a new washer/dryer, I saved close to $1000!!

We went to Affordable Appliance this morning to demand an exchange on our refrigerator. Their warranty states that they exchange free within the first 30 days but we were told that no longer applied to us as we had "damaged" the unit by leaving the door open.We were also told that we would have to pay a $120 repair fee + parts despite the fact their warranty claims that labor on repairs are free for the first 13 months.
When I stated again that I wanted another unit, the owner's wife became abusive, cursed me, and started to attack me. Her husband restrained her and physically pushed her into a back office. When I still demanded another unit she attempted to attack me again.
We called the police, filed a report, and will take these people to small claims court. I've never had such an unprofessional business experience.

Today, 10/10/2012, we received a notice from our bank that they had found in our favor in the dispute with Affordable Appliance and would be disallowing the charge. If you know anybody in the Austin, TX area be sure and let them know about this business.

It is not specifically clear what the relationship of Affordable Appliances and Appliance Doctor , I assume it is owned by the same individual as that is who I talked when setting up the appointment for the Appliance Service work. The workers are sub-contractors. The first call was fine, there was no problems, they showed up exactly when they said they would and performed the work as expected. The second call was problematic from the beginning. I left multiple voice messages to setup the appointment, none were ever returned. Finally I reached them directly and setup the appointment. The day of the appointment, I received a call first thing in the morning that they would have to reschedule as one of the two workers needed had called in sick. The next day I did not receive a call, and when I finally reached a person at Affordable Appliances they told me I was not on the schedule for that day but that they would be on then next day. On that day they were 3 hours late, stating they had truck problems. My husband was at the house to let them in. When they left, he tried to do the laundry only to discover they had not turned on the water to the washer, and when he did it leaked profusely. We called them and they turned around and came back. At that time my husband pointed out a large scratch on the dryer that was new. The workers stated they fixed the leaks and put some touchup paint on the scratch. Approximately 1 hour later my husband was using the dryer and the dryer hose fell off the back. He pulled the dryer away from the wall and realized the workers had not put the clamp on the dryer hose to hold it in place. It was at that point that he noticed a significant dent in the new steel door that I had had installed as part of the remodel. The next day I was doing laundry again and noticed more water on the floor, I pulled the dryer out and wedged myself back to see what might be leaking and it was the hot water hookup to the washer. I was livid, and when I contacted Affordable Appliances, the owner told me that his workers did not dent the door, and knew what they were doing. He offered to not deposit the $150 check. I am having to hire another company to come out and determine what is still leaking and to move the equipment to allow me access to dry the floor under it, and to ensure the installation on the pedestals is ok, as I did find an 'extra' bolt laying outside the laundry room door. The business manager did not attempt to solve the problem beyond offering to not deposit the $150 check, and in fact in frustration hung up the phone on me when I asked him what I was supposed to do with leaking appliances that his team failed to hookup correctly.

This remains the single worst customer service experience of my life. I am still surprised that a company can knowingly sell you things that do not work and then fail to repair them. I would never use this company again, nor would I ever recommend them.
