Affordable Arbor care

Affordable Arbor Care's rate was about the same as another company's daily rate to send 4 people for 1 day. AAC sent 3 people. I was shocked that after just 2 1/2 hours of work Mike knocked on the door to say they were done. They did look over yard with me and then hurried off, appearing to me to go fit in an afternoon job although they denied that later. My issues, several of which I didn't notice on the spot so contacted them later in day: several cuts of our live oak trees were not sealed (a *necessity* in Austin, TX due to Oak Wilt), a mess was left on back porch and tree limbs, leaves, etc left in yard, and a limb was still on power line even after trimming but Mike said it would be an additional $225 to cut When I contacted Mike he had reasons/excuses and disregarded me. When I gave him a heads up that I would leave a poor review the head of company called, Christian, who said they would come out and make me happy with the job. When he came he spent 5 to 10 minutes defending what they had done and explaining that with 2 certified arborists they work extra fast which is why they just worked a half day versus the other company's full day. They did some cleaning up and trimming and he did cut off the limb on power line but still charged the $225. They were done in about 45 minutes which once again surprised me since it included the limb cutting but Christian just said how that proved how fast they are. To me it showed he could have just cut off that limb without that large extra charge. My other concern in retrospect is that they did not have any business cards printed with their names or personalized estimate/billing sheets. They just used generic forms which is not professional. Overall, their defensive attitudes and rushed work were quite displeasing and unprofessional and I will not use them again.

Michael, his business partner, and a helper arrived a bit before the scheduled time. After confirming the extent of material to be removed, the crew immediately got to work. Trees were quickly and efficiently reshaped per best professional practices with all detritus cleared from the area. The personable crew also "bonus" trimmed a few boxwoods on the front of the house. All-in-all, professional workmanship at a fair price.

From the soliciting of quotes through the work and clean up these guys were prompt, courteous and professional. I would definitely recommend and use them again.

Christian and his team were superb in removing 2 large trees from my front and back yard. It was a 2 day process and they did an amazing job in cutting down the trees, cleaning up the debris, and ensuring that there was no damage done to my property. They arrived promptly in the morning and got to work without hesitation. My house has so much more visibility in the neighborhood and I can't thank them enough! Very professional quality service!
