Affordable Asphalt Paving

Tore up whole driveway and supposed to add proper base and asphalt. Left a mess on Belgium block and tar footprints on paver sidewalk. Raised hole appeared shortly thereafter. They returned and cut hole out and patched it. Less than year later, more holes raised up in asphalt. Asked owner to come and look at it and discuss how to resolve this issue. Sam (the owner) was called many times before returning calls. He never showed up to discuss this issue. Sent some men to fix it in the dark working with truck lights to see. We?re going to come back and seal coat driveway. We asked them not to come during certain days as we were going to be away and didn?t want work on property while we were gone. They came in the dark the night before leaving to repair holes and the night after we left home (also in the dark) to seal coat. The driveway is a very rough look and now has patches that look awful. Not the job expected for $9,400.

We just had our driveway redone and were extremely pleased with the outcome. The process was completed in two days from digging up the old driveway to paving the following day. I have received numerous compliments from neighbors. The owner kept me informed of issues that may occur and they were completely successful. Pricing very competitive amongst six other contractors.

Worse company. Sam took my kindness and scam me out of over $60,000. I hired him to expend my driveway and install artificial turf in my backyard. He told me he pulled permits but that was a lie. He also did 4 of my neighbors driveways. All of us were cited with a violation for not obtaining permits. After several back and forth for over 2 months he stopped responding. A week after he did my driveway, grass started popping out and now the driveway is crumbling. The city failed the inspection and said it has to be redone. Sam refuses to respond. The artificial turf was also installed improperly. Every time it rains, the sand underneath is moving and some spots grass is coming out. Do Not Waste Your Money. He is also not licensed to do work in Florida. He is using someone else’s which is illegal.

Had a great experience with Affordable Asphalt Paving! They recently tackled a pretty tricky job for us, which included paving our driveway adding Belgium block trim and power washing/sanding the pavers on our front walkway. I was in touch with Sam the whole time, and he kept me in the loop about what was going on with the project manager. We did hit a few bumps in the road, especially with some serious water drainage issues. The final bill ended up being higher than what we initially thought, but Sam was super upfront about all the options and costs, which I really appreciated. The crew did a fantastic job. They showed up bright and early every day to keep things moving, though we did face some delays due to bad weather on the second day. The end result looks great!!! After this experience, I'm definitely planning to use Affordable Asphalt Paving for future projects. i will recommend them to anyone needing paving or masonry work!!!

They performed outstanding work even though we were all surprised that the original builder did not install the driveway according to code explaining why it was in poor condition. The job cost me 2x the original bid because 3” of gravel base was needed.
