Affordable Critter Solutions

It was not easy as my attic was sealed yet I was still heard noises at night. The company came back to check re-examined the roof and set traps. They had to come back more than once but were very responsive.

Not paid yet as they will come back to check on their work and our satisfaction before they are paid.

The guy came & explained what he was going to do. They had numerous working, but only 1 person was in charge & he did all of the communicating & oversaw the job. They worked the entire day until it was finished and I have not had a problem since Last August.

<strong> Shortly after the work was done we developed a leak in our living room near the area this work was done. I contacted the company who said they would be out to check the work. They came out and checked it and said it was not their work they said it was do to plugged up gutter and it's only a coincident that the leak started with in a couple days of their work. They then talked us into some repairs to the gutter area that cost a little over $200.<br /> I told them we would be leaving and unable to verify what they had done until we returned in October and we would let them know when we returned if what they had done solved the problem. We took pictures of the damage before we left so we could compare when we returned.<br /> On 10-6-2014 when we returned we could tell the leak was worse and a second leak had developed. We called a licensed<br /> certified roofing contractor to do a inspection of the leak. The contractor stated the leak was done by the installations done by Affordable Critter Solutions and the cost of repairs would be $650.00 not including the cost to repaint in the living room.<br /> On 10-16-2014 I contacted Affordable Critter Solutions by email and advised them what the roofer had stated. Dirk Newman who I believe is the owner. Mr. Newman stated again that it was not his company work that caused the problem but further stated he would come out within a couple days to look again.<br /> That being on the 16th of October and today is November 5th and we have not seen or heard from him or his company.<br /> The contract had a 3 year warranty on work.<br /> I feel as did the roof contractor that this was more than a coincident and Affordable Critter Solutions should have stood behind their work an honored their warranty.<br /> </strong> <br />

Service was 5 days of trapping and they managed to get 2 of the 3 squirrels. They were very responsive and called often to get status of the traps. <br />

All workers were just as helpful and professional as could be. They always cleaned up thoroughly after their daily work and gave very helpful suggestions as well. We would use them again in a heartbeat IF the critters (4 different kinds) decide to party up there again. I highly doubt that because this company protected our dwelling in every corner imaginable. The very best part was their willingness to deal with the insurance company as many of us well know is a nightmare. We HIGHLY recommend them. <br />

They set 2 traps. There was some miscommunication b/w the office and their workers, so they arrived late and took away one trap too early, but they were very apologetic and they did a good job.

They did an excellent job keeping the basement sealed as well as the rest of our home. We were very happy with their work and would definitely recommend them first to anyone having animal problems. <br />

<br /> Very well done - very detailed work. The only concern I had was since I had to replace some wood around the roof - would he re-do those areas if needs be - and John Shirley (the technician) said yes!

These guys definitely deserve more positive reviews--they're awesome! Their business description says they value customer service and I feel that is definitely true. They were very busy yet they were able to squeeze in some time to come rescue the baby squirrel trapped in my gutter downspout. They arrived in half an hour as they said, freed the little squirrel in a kind fashion and took him so that he could have a little time to dry off and regroup before being released back into the wild. The walked the house with me, identifying trouble spots, scoped out the attic and got on the roof to inspect up there as well. They even took the time to kindly answer some unrelated questions about which the owner has expertise. I was very grateful for their prompt and professional help. If we go ahead with the additional preventative measures yet to be quoted, I will update my post--but for now, I must say, I am impressed with the service and expertise they provide and would definitely recommend!!

We recently had a raccoon move into our attic and give birth to her young. We retained a local trapper, who trapped the mother and removed a baby from an interior wall. She did considerable damage to our soffits and the screens of our lanai and pool area during her break in and trips out for food. In addition, she packed down and soiled the insulation throughout the entire attic. Insulation is a big issue here in Southwest Florida and this has major implications for our energy costs. <br /> <br /> A local trapper recommended Affordable Critter Solutions to assess the damage, although they are located in Orlando. They were highly recommended and the urgency had passed; so, I gave them a call. Dirk Newham promptly came to our house and assessed the situation. He surveyed the entire attic area although it had to be over 120 degrees. He spent a couple hours photographing all of the damage. In a couple of days, he made a thoroughly documented proposal. The estimated cost was more than I expected, but so was the damage. There was no disputing what had to be done, because of his thorough documentation. In addition to repair and decontamination, his proposal included sealing all possible areas of entry by anything as big as a mouse, and a three year warranty. Due to the professional quality of his proposal, my insurance company authorized the whole thing in two days. (Tower Hill Insurance gets a positive recommendation also.) <br /> <br /> I have since learned that Affordable Critter Solutions has a trapper located in the local area. I have talked with him and was positively impressed with him as well. <br /> <br /> The repairs, removal and replacement of insulation, clean up, securing the house, rescreening of our lanai and front porch took four days. They had as many as five men working at one time. Everything was done completely and professionally. They even installed three attic vents I supplied without charge. Scott, the on-scene project manager, was here the entire time, overseeing everything and doing a lot of the work himself. He is pleasant and knowledge of all aspects of the project from trapping to clean up. <br /> <br /> We are quite pleased with the results. Our house is in better shape than it was before the raccoon moved in and we have a three year warranty. Thanks to Affordable Critter Solutions and Tower Hill Insurance, a very bad situation has had a positive final outcome.
