Affordable Drain Flow

I needed plumbers to unclog my main drain because there was backup in my basement toilet. These guys came out and pretended like they fixed the clog. A few days after they left, half of my FINISHED basement was full of sewage water - worse than when they had come by the first time. I remembered that they had promised that if there were any issues within 30 days, I should call and they would come back ASAP. So on that same Sunday afternoon, mere days after they had come by my place, I called to ask for their plumber to return, but the guy on the phone immediately said they had no plumbers available and that they could come back the next day. Shortly after we ended the call, I called back again and told him I really needed a plumber ASAP. I was hoping that he would honor their initial guarantee and stand by their work, but instead he again said that they didn't have any plumbers and hung up the phone on me. I ended up having to hire another plumbing company to help with my clogged drain. When that company came by, they opened up the main drain trap (which these guys never did in the first place) and noticed the clog still there. That's when I was able to confirm that these "affordable" plumbers were neither affordable, not competent professionals. I would not recommend.

Julio came within two hours on a holiday weekend and efficiently took care of the problem. He and his colleague snaked the drain and made sure everything was in working order.

The sewer was scoped and they said they cleared the roots. But who knows... they provided a usb drive with only few images. Nothing before or after. That said I am moot sure if they cleared all roots or not. I expect not. Their truck dropped oil all over the driveway that we just spent many thousands of dollars. They did not take responsibility. DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE. THEY ARE NOT HONEST. Find a different supplier. Don’t use these people.

My first experience with Julio was an after-hours discovery that my water heater was going out. I urgently called a few people, then a Boston number for "emergency plumbing." The answering service was very kind and helpful in connecting me to Julio, and through a back and forth process of texts and iphone photos I was instructed how to turn off the water. It took a couple of hours for him to arrive with an assistant named Michael. They evaluated the situation, then offered to purchase a new Hot Water Heater at Home Depot, which they did, and then offered to continue the work and were all finished that evening--a bonus for me. Although I was a bit concerned about the process of having him do that purchase, I was given the receipt from home depot and the labor and installation cost was less than I paid the last time. I paid him the total with AmEx on a portable card reader. He apologized for the condition of the invoice he gave me, since he had to re-use one and it was a bit messy. Also, I wanted to have a TACO overflow valve installed, but our communication was a bit of a challenge, and I don't believe that was done. However, he did a reasonable job of cleaning up a tough basement situation. On the basis of this work, I hired the company again to install a new faucet in the kitchen, and to replace a garbage disposal. This time I shopped for both. Michael was sent at the agreed upon time, and did a fine job on the faucet. When it was time to replace the disposal, he consulted with Julio by phone and asked if I would like him first to try to repair the disposal, quoting me a labor cost that was lower than it would be for replacement. I agreed, and he was able to find the cause of the jam and I returned the new disposal. A happy result. This time I paid by check, I will call again as the need arises. I feel they do good work, with none of the high pressure or cost that I have had in the past with others doing similar work, and they are very nice people.

Really difficult to communicate with via phone and text. Never gave me an invoice for the work which I asked for 5 times before giving up. Was difficult to schedule the actual appointment in the first place. The job was completed, although after the fact I noticed the toilet was loose at the base, but that could be a small complaint. It was just so hard to get a firm day for the work scheduled and I kept having to call them back. Ignoring me when I asked for an invoice was the final straw. Difficult to schedule and poor communication. On the plus side, the price was the lowest I could find and the workmanship seemed fine.

He just nailed it. Where another plumber (who was highly rated here on Angie's List) wasn't able to clear the drain, but was able to take my cash) wasn't able to do this, he was. I only wish I'd had some more work lined up to better use our time together. That said, 100% recommended them and they were great.

Affordable cleared the clog in under an hour. These guys are great! I recommend them without reservation. They are quick and fair.

The job required a quick trip to Home Depot by the plumber, but the installation was still completed quickly and I am very happy with the outcome. I would definitely hire Affordable Drain Flow again.

The guys came by within an hour on a Friday night around 7pm (totally punctual), where Roto Rooter could only come the next day. They took care of the clog efficiently and quickly and were very friendly. I am definitely calling them next time I need some plumbing done on short notice!!

I called several plumbers, and they were the only ones to pick up right away. An hour later, on a miserable, rainy night, I had a friendly and courteous plumber at my door. He took care of the problem within an hour and explained what was causing it so that we can avoid it in the future. He kept his work area clean. All around, an excellent experience.

Julio was great when he first came. It turns out that he sent his brother. His brother, instead of correcting what we thought was a minor problem, he suggested buying a whole new sink thing and a whole new garbage disposal. He happened to have a good one on the truck and it will cost you 400 and some odd dollars and I am like "I don't think so." So, I said " Either forget it or fix this one or whatever." So, I called my brother in law who knows plumbing and I researched it while he was there on the spot. I decided to go get the garbage disposal at a good price and then he put it in. I don't like that kind of business where they say this will cost you, but what you should do is this and it will cost you even more. I don't think we are going to call them back. <br />   I met him through Angie's List almost a year ago in June and I evaluated his work and it was great. He was very accommodating. It was beautiful. It was like $99 for a hours work of work or something like that and it worked out well. So, it turns out he would be great to hire in the future, so we are hiring from Angie's List. So it says Angie's List works, but we hired him a second time and it didn't work out to well. We got the garbage disposal done, but it cost a high amount, but plumbers do. Because of Angie's List, we found a plumber that we thought we could use in the future. <br />   He did the work, but I went and bought the products. I didn't want to pay his prices. I paid him for the labor and he waited for me too, which is incredible because most plumbers have you by the watch and want to charge me for sitting out in the driveway waiting for me to go get the equipment. That was nice. So, he didn't charge me for that hour or whatever it took, but he did do the work that we needed and we paid for it, but there was no fee to come out. I didn't like the price and they way they do that. "Oh you don't need that, that drain is not dripping that much. Just buy a whole new sink faucet." Wait a minute, <br />   The quality was good. They came out and it was very convenient. Punctuality was good. He was late thank goodness because I was late. It worked out. Unfortunately, it was Julio's brother. Julio was great. This guy (his brother) I would send him out. He is the one getting the marks, not Julio.

If I could give this company an A++, they would have it!!!!! Julio responded immediately to my call, unlike the three other companies that I called within a 24hour period. Edwin and Judith arrived when they said they would; they were professional and very knowledgeable. They kept us informed throughout the entire process and cleaned up after they left. Provided us with the information we needed to take the project to the next level --I would highly recommend them to anyone. I will keep them on my very short dependable contractor list! Bravo......

I appreciated Julio fixing stubborn clog in bathroom sink the same day I called. I'm thankful he was available Thanksgiving week!

Julio and his crew did an excellent job. I would give them an A+ if I could. They are the best plumbers I have had to deal with, with honest pricing, far lower than I would have had to pay otherwise. He even did a camera inspection of the pipe at no extra cost. This whole project could have cost me thousands that I did not have to spend and days of stress because this was the main waste line out to the street. The work was cleanly and professionally done and he kept me informed the whole step of the way (even as I had to be upstairs teleworking). I would definitely use AFFORDABLE DRAIN FLOW again and highly recommend them.

Everything went smoothly and I plan to hire them again in the future for additional improvements.

I got a call back 5 min after my call. They arrived about 1 hr later (as promised), fixed the toilet, then cleaned everything up (there wasn't much mess anyway). Perfect job.

I called hoping to get someone and Juiio was available within a couple of hours.  He arrived at agreed time and was quick and very neat.  I would definitely recommend him for any plumbing job.  He is very professional and reliable.  This was also true for the first visit when he replaced the outdoor faucet and also fixed a minor leak for free in a pipe that had previously frozen and was dripping. <br>
