Affordable Fence

Very good, they arrived when they said they would and did not leave until it was done. Also, cleaned up and di NOT leave any mess.

You want a fence done right and for the right price....call Al !!  I put $1.00 in price cause it's nobody's business what I paid.  You will get an OUTSTANDING quote right down to the screws needed.  Al and his crew were on time and completed in only three days.  When Al came out, he knew exactly what we wanted after a short talk and he is a very personable man also.  The best part I felt is that not only did he do the "sale" but he was on site and worked with his crew too.  In my opinion this is important because there is no loss of communication and the job is done without any confusion of how it's to be done. <br /> Best one of three that I interviewed.  Would definitely use again! <br />

Al was great to work with and shared everything I needed to know.  All the guys were very nice.  They installed the fence in a day and a half.  They cleaned the work areas and even worked with the neighbors with their questions and concerns.  The fence looks amazing.  What a difference it makes for us.  We will enjoy the fence for years to come.  We plan to hire him again in the future. <br />

<hr />  They came on time and went right to work. Started to rain one of them all day miserable rains, they keep working even Al the owner worked with his guys, not to many bosses or owners work with their people, they might check on them but when raining or snow you don't see them. A good company is when someone like Al shows his employees he will do the work he asks them to do the good with the bad. The rain slowed them down, so it took 2 and a half days would have been 2 days for removing and installing new 6 foot privacy fence 270 foot of it. Great job and clean up. Al also told me if I have a problem with any of the fence he will come out to fix it no cost. I received 3 estimates Al was $2000.00 cheaper and his price was right on listed all materials needed for job another company added a lot more materials to get more money, and another company wanted two workers at $ 50.00 and hour for both no total on anything, no limit or job completion it could have been a $ 20,000.00 dollar job???? It pays to check around <br />

They did a good job. They did a very nice job. I choose them because the owner came out and he was very thorough and explained everything very well. He was also real professional. It looks great. They did a real nice job of doing what we asked. It's a chain link fence covered with brown vinyl, which blends in with our surrounding woods. You can't even see the fence when you look at the house.

I compared several providers that were and quot;Aand quot; rated on Angie's List. Al from Affordable Fence was a little less expensive than the others and he kept going on about how happy we would be and that he guaranteed that we would love his work and he stood behind it. In the end he convinced me. He arrived as promised and began work. As I checked in later in the day he asked me for reimbursement for the cost of the permit. This was never mentioned in the original quote and I was under the impression that the quote was inclusive of all costs including the permit. When I asked him about that he stated that there is no way to know each township's cost of the permits, so he always collects that separately. I asked him why his quote doesn't state something like and quot;Plus the cost of permitsand quot; and his answer was he just doesn't do that. I reluctantly gave him the check, which in hindsight, I wish i hadn't. <br /> Initially I was happy with the job. The fence was straight and the job looked professional. About 6 weeks after the job was completed I noticed that the SW corner of the fence had dropped about 6 inches and the fill where he had core bored the concrete to set the gate had dried into a concave depression and was holding water. I promptly called Al and left him a message explaining this. After two weeks I heard absolutely nothing so I called again. Same result. I made a third phone call and again, no response. By my fourth phone call, all pleasantries were gone and I informed him that I had not yet submitted my review for his work on Angie's List. I told him in no uncertain terms that I was far from happy with his work nor did I feel he was anywhere close to standing behind his work and if he did not contact me to rectify this situation that my review would reflect this. <br /> As I am sure you can surmise, I have received absolutely no contact from Al or anyone else at affordable fence. He does not stand behind his work and once it is done, you will likely never hear from him again. My advice to you is find someone else. If I had it to do over, I would have spent the extra $200 and gone with Metro Fence. Affordable Fence is a sham and they are the epitome of what is wrong with customer service in this day and age. <br />

Overall it went well. They did damage my underground sprinkling system in 2 places while digging even though I had told them I had underground and could tell them where lines were. They said I didn't need to because they always dig carefully. Unfortunately, damage was still done. One line cut they repaired themselves. The other damage was electrical to a station operator and that was left up to me to get repaired and pay for myself. That is my only dissatisfaction with their service.

They are a very good company and very accommodating. I ended up interviewing 4 different contractors for the job and he was the best. His price was in the midrange of prices but his people were much more accommodating as far as meeting the requirements that I had. I have a pool and there is a law that I have to have the pool meet the building code and some of the contractors are lazy about leaving the fence down while they are working and leaving the water exposed. Affordable Fence agreed that the property would not be left open and that is why I choose them. They were very professional and got the job done right away, there was no delay. The quality of work was very good. He set up a date, he showed up on time and he was very much on top of things so I was very happy with that. He was very professional and his crew was very nice too.
