AFFORDABLE TILE INSTALLATION

Ken and Hugo are fantastic! We have had them remodel our kitchen and two bathrooms, one being the master. Both bathrooms were complete demolition and remodel, and one needed to reroute the existing plumbing. All three remodels turned out amazing! Their tile and granite work are superb. They guided us along on all three projects, offering suggestions and pointing us to the right vendors to get our materials, all of whom made this overwhelmed couple feel very comfortable, and helped with the designs. We are so happy with the results and feel very fortunate to have found them.

Amazing. On time, fairly priced. Clean and responsible. Ken was great as was his team. He remodeled our master bathroom and did stack stone on our fireplace wall. We are going to have him do our two other bathrooms. I highly recommend Ken.

Ken at Affordable Tile is easy to work with and does exceptionally good work, and his prices are fair and reasonable. Ken and his crew did a complete shower remodel for my home. They demoed the old shower and then rebuilt a new shower from the studs and floor up. Work included framing the substructure of the shower and then an awesome hot mop job, and then they framed and floated the floor, bench, and walls. The tile work was so beautiful it nearly brought tears to my eyes. I bought modern tiles with size 13” x 39”, so Ken and his crew had to cut every single tile, and every cut was spot on, and not one tile was broke or wasted, it was unbelievable. The finished product looks terrific. I also loved that Ken always let me know when he would arrive, and always showed up on time and put in a full day of work. The whole job took about 8 days, and Ken and his crew cleaned up at the end of each day, and kept my home free of dust and debris. I would highly recommend for any shower remodel or tile installation.

Ken was fabulous to work with. Reasonably priced and excellent work. Great communication every step of the way. Can’t say enough good things about the process. Most importantly the bathroom looks amazing. So glad we made the right choice in a contractor. Highly recommend!

Ken and his staff were fantastic from beginning to end. He made the process so easy and he was always up front and transparent about the service and prices. We had our bathroom remodeled last year and the previous contractor did such a poor job, we had to have new tile installed again. The difference between the two contractors was night and day. We are so happy with how the shower turned out. We would DEFINITELY want to work with him and his company again in future.

Absolutely wonderful!!! Ken and team installed kitchen tile and granite countertop two years ago and was so terrific that I called again when we were interested in removing 20 year old fake fireplace surround and old ugly. We replaced with a piece of reclaimed wood- sanded and stained and ordered same tile as our new kitchen Excellent!! Will be calling Ken again when we are ready to remodel our two bathrooms!

I always do my homework before hiring someone for a house project, and this was no exception. I had several companies come out for a bid. I ultimately chose Affordable Tile because of Ken's pricing, his other stellar Angie's list reviews, his calm demeanor and his long time expertise in the area of installing tile (decades). He installed a mother of pearl mosaic backsplash, as well as some colorful 6x6 tiles in an inset / niche above the range and I was truly SO happy with the way things turned out! (See pic) Before they started work each day they covered up all my counters and appliances, and before they went home each day everything was vacuumed and cleaned up for the night. Some of my tile arrived late, and whereas other contractors would have gotten all upset, he was very gracious and worked around the delay. I appreciated his flexibility very much. I also really loved his attention to detail. (So did my Marine husband! lol). Ken and Sherri went through tile by tile after grouting to make sure there were no pin holes and no haze left on the tile before sealing the grout. He also always took the time to address any questions I had or any special requests I made. His patient and kind demeanor was a welcome reprieve from the personalities of some contractors. All in all it was a very pleasant experience working with Ken and Sherri...they're good people and I will be having him come back when we re-do our master bath!

Quality work, attention to detail, reliable and trustworthy!! <br> <br>I met the provider and owner of Affordable Tile, Ken Keck, through a personal recommendation when I needed my bathroom done after a pipe burst. Ken sent me to a tile and stone place that had a great selection of quality products at a reasonable price. He completely remodeled the shower and tub and did a beautiful job with great attention to detail. <br> <br>After this project, I called Ken back to update the bathroom counter tops and kitchen floor. Again, the project was completed on time and with beautiful results. He installed a new faucet and when a plumbing issue came of, he masterfully coordinated with my plumber to get the fix needed to move forward. I wouldn’t use anyone else! <br> <br>I have been HOA President and have worked with hundreds of vendors over the years, and Ken was by far the best. As the 1st experience with Ken, the owner and installer, everything went smoothly. Ken sent me to a fabulous tile and stone place which not only had an amazing selection, but I was impressed with the quality and price. Ken estimated and completed the job on time and his attention to detail and commitment to his craft are hard to find and greatly appreciated. <br /> <br />Ken also found me new square sinks and took the initiative to replace the sink stops to ensure that the finished product was top notch. The project was conducted within certain space constraints and it was completed without incident and on time. We hired Affordable Tile Installation, in April, to remodel our master bath. Our experience with Affordable Tile was fabulous, easy, and stress free.  They created our dream bathroom. <br> <br> Ken was organized, punctual,  professional and very easy to work with. <p>The job was fantastic as we knew it would be.  He and his crew transformed an old fiberglass bathtub into a work of art.  We now had a stall shower with glass tile, rock floor and a pebble ledge with new shower head and handles.  It is just beautiful and we love it.  For our second bathroom again he and his crew removed the old fiberglass tub.  Installed a new tub and accessories along with glass tile up to the ceiling.  Another job well done!!!</p> <p>I was very satisfied with the professionalism that Ken Keck of Affordable Tile and would refer my friends to him anytime!!</p> <p>We are extremely pleased with outcome of our whole project.</p> <p><br /></p> <p><br /></p> <br />

Ken didnt do the work he sub contracted to his buddy Mike. I didnt mind since I understand how the business works. Everything was going as planned and on time. It wasnt until the tiling came in that the job went downhill. Ken recommended I stack the tile, not use spacers, so I thought, fine. He kept screaming about his and Mikes 30 years experience, so I let that convince me. After the first day of tiling I get home from work and look at what Mike did. Tiles were crooked and not level. My wife said Mike was having problems all day trying to lay down the tile. I called Ken and he came out the next day. They tore it all out and did it now with spacers. Ken said Mike was having a bad day and then made the excuse that its "Big Box Store" tile and it will never go in correctly. That day was pretty much lost but they did get some tile up. I looked at what they had done and the tile still was crooked and not flat with the wall. I marked tiles and Mike took those out and replaced them and proceeded. I called Ken and he again explained how Mike was having a bad day. This went on till Mike completed installing the tile. He must have removed 2 dozen or so. Now it was time for grouting. I chose the Fusion grout, probably the best grout available besides going to the epoxy. Its not much different to install except you just got to know what you are doing. Guess Mike had another bad day. He left dozens of uncleaned grout specs all over the tile, There was grout haze everywhere that Ken came over to clean at 9pm at night. Ken refused to use the proper cleaning material, some minor acid, that the company recommends because he is stubborn like that. Kens excuse is that fusion is not meant for walls when it clearly states it is on their website. <br /> Ken is full of excuses yet not solutions. The work is what you would expect from a typical home owner with mediocre skills. Today I will be spending hours removing the grout haze and regrouting all of the areas the Mike missed or made blemishes with his fingers. Ken took off $1000 cause he knew, even though he would not admit, this job was terrible. <br /> <br /> <br /> In dispute of Kens response. <br /> <br /> Ken records conversations without your permission. I founds this out after our second conversation when he said I have all this recorded. I also did not use a caliper on anything, as he claims. You dont need a caliper to visually see the uneven grout lines. <br /> Ken also did come over at 9, regarding my A for responsiveness. He said he could have it all cleaned and perfect in 1 hour. He didnt and I get up at 4 am so I told him we needed to go to sleep. From a distance the shower looks good, as you can see on his website, but close up it looks terrible.

The project was extensive as Ken was remodeling a shower and tub almost 20 years old. He left each day with everything neatly put away and communicated the project status each day. Instead of using the quick, less expensive green board methods, Ken took the time and effort to rebuild my shower with concrete. This not only insured that my existing shower door would be able to be reinstalled (while the other guys I got estimates from said it would be a problem and that I would probably have to buy a new door) but he was able to make the frame of the shower straight instead of awkwardly angled. Ken went out of his way to get the right grout and new trim for the fixtures since the new tile created a different level of depth. I was so happy with his idea of a niche and bench seat that I had him make one for my 2 nd shower. He was able to contruct and install a bench seat to work in a 20 year old tiled shower; it looks like it was always there and what a difference when shaving my legs! Ken made the great suggestion at no extra cost to raise the shower head from a ridiculous height of 6' to a much more realistic and comfortable height of 7' - I would have never thought of that and didn't know it was an option. What a difference this has made!! I recommend Ken Keck with extremely high marks and have already recommended him to a neighbor and friend. <br />

Ken and his contractors were knowledgeable, and innovative in their extreme attention to detail. When Ken came out to do the quote, my husband and I already had a concept of what we wanted, but no idea how to execute it. Ken assured us he knew exactly what we wanted, and that he could accomplish it, and he was right! From his many years of experience in all areas of contracting, he is extremely knowledgeable, and very skilled at actualizing your vision, so the details that the customer sees as obstacles are just small items to be planned and executed for Ken and his team of very professional employees. The tile installer was always punctual, and professional. He paid attention to detail, which was necessary for a feature wall. He worked through what I thought were frustrating moments (since our wall is bowed out, and somewhat complicated to tile cleanly) with a great attitude, and excepted the challenge with zeal, and produced exceptional work. All of the tiles line up, each tile is flush with the next, and it is a seamless design. Ken was present more than once a day to collaborate, and supervise progress on the job. The installation of the specially designed custom hearth support went quickly, the absolute granite slab was fabricated and brought to the house ready to install, and it was beautiful. The whole job went smoothly, and turned out beyond what we had envisioned. Not only would I use Affordable Tile Installation again, we are! In a few months we will start a kitchen renovation, and I am actually excited instead of dreading it because with Affordable Tile Installation on the job, I know I can expect professional, and skilled work with functional and beautiful results. After receiving several quotes, both for the fireplace wall and the kitchen, we know that Affordable Tile Installation is the right company to help us achieve our home design goals. <br />

From the start he was punctual, from the day he gave us the estimate to <br /> the day he completed the job. He would contact us immediately if there <br /> was a change in his schedule. He referred us to International Tile to <br /> get our tile and they helped us since we had no idea what we were <br /> doing. Ken offered to help with the tile selection, but Al (who knew <br /> Ken for a long time) helped us with the tile selection. Ken offered us <br /> ideas and I let him do his magic and he did an excellent job. It took <br /> approximately two weeks for each bathroom, which was great. The first <br /> bathroom was a tub/shower. He tiled up to the ceiling and around the <br /> window. He did all the electrical, plumbing and installation of the <br /> vanity and counter tops. He also hung the mirror and cabinet. The <br /> second bathroom was a shower only. That bathroom was a mess. He hot <br /> mopped the floor in the shower instead of that ugly shower pan and then <br /> did his magic. We had a slab of granite and he surprised us using it as <br /> the seat in the shower in addition to the counter for the vanity. Every <br /> evening when he was done they would vacuum any dust. He also covered <br /> the floors leading to the bathrooms. I highly recommend him, you will <br /> not be disappointed. I got a couple estimates and one bathroom was the <br /> cost of what I got two bathrooms done for. His lovely wife also helps <br /> him. When he was done it was like a member of the family was leaving. <br />

Ken came to the house and inspected the bathroom and after a complete consultation, offered his professional advise on how he was going to do the job, how long it would take and the cost. Ken explained that vinyl flooring is a very good water barrier, so he put the cement board right over the vinyl tile and began installing the saltillo tile on the floors and walls and white ceramic tile on the vanity top, and he also installed a new sink with hardware. When completed, which took 3 days, he sealed all the tile to prevent water absorption. Job came out great, we're very pleased and the cost was very affordable!! I would definitely recommend Ken to do any tiling job that is needed in a home, no questions asked. <br />

My job was started and completed on time. He was clean and professional and the whole process was very educational. Ken was discriptive on what he was doing and why it needed to be done that way. Our whole bathroom was ripped out the first day and hauled away and then the remodeling began. He was also very helpful in the design and the choosing of materials for the job. I was very satisfied when the job was completed, the bathroom looked like a showplace. <br />
