I don't like to write bad reviews and was hesitant to write this one, but every time it rains (often) and I need to brush away the many puddles on my fairly new concrete pad, I'm annoyed. Eti came in with the lowest quote and combined with his favorable reviews I decided to move forward. The job ended up being more than Eti estimated, and I was asked to provide more money on two separate occasions, making his quote now more expensive than some others I got. In addition, the Bobcat he used completely obliterated my front lawn. I ended up having to resod the lawn and while I attempted to even out the ground, it is still bumpy and am reminded of that every time I mow my lawn. I contacted Eti via text to fix the puddles, and he came back once to check it out and he was going to try fix it, though it would be through an epoxy that would be off-color from the rest of the cement pad. I coordinated time for Eti to come back and he never came and I grew tired of contacting him to come fix it. Overall he was a nice guy, and if the pad didn't have puddles and my front lawn wasn't destroyed, I'd be ok with paying the extra money, but ultimately the results were not good.

We had part of our sidewalk taken up to sewer repair and needed it repoured. It was a small job. We got a quote over texting and did the work in one day. Looks good, all level, matches up with other sidewalk, and sewer cleanout cap fits.

BE WARNED!!!!! Eddie is very nice and will tell you exactly what you want to hear. He will be receptive of whatever you want to do and be very nice about it, BUT the quality and workmanship of what will be done WILL NOT LAST. Eddie was the first to contact me about my project and came out quickly. He measured, took notes and wrote us an email on exactly what would be performed. We hadn't gotten any responses from anyone else, the amount sounded reasonable to us for the work to be performed, and he's recommended by angies list?? why not? BIG MISTAKE. First day he arrived he came and bashed out all of the concrete and piled it neatly to be removed. he probably did 3 or so hours of work over a 6 hour time period. it was hot and its labor intensive work so i chalked it up to that. He asked for $2000 that day and i gladly paid him as it was good work. The next work day he came back with a helper who demo'd the front porch, and they finished the demo job and removed the debris. This was the most amount of work done in a day and i thought was great progress. The next day Eddie came and sat at our house for 5 hours and played on his phone waiting for his 'form guy'. Well the form guy never showed up until 6:30pm on a saturday. He worked for 2.5 put in a small retaining wall and boxed in the front porch and left. he then came back sunday with 1 other person and did the same thing. I then started to notice the quality of work that was being done. the dirt under the retaining wall was loose and uneven. the long retaining wall along the yard DID NOT HAVE A FOOTER. This will would have FALLEN DOWN (thats even assuming it was strong enough to withstand the weight of the pour!!!). Monday came and eddie 'finished' the rest of the retaining wall. I noticed he cut corners on his portion of the wall and did it to below where he had established grade. This was my red flag and i decided that i would check in on his work Tuesday. I spoke with him Tuesday morning and showed him pictures of the forms we wanted. He said 'no problem'. At this point i gave him 2 hours to do something before i checked in on him again. He put in 2 2x4's and didnt even establish if they were level or plumb. the ground had been disturbed and he didnt compact it at all. the concrete would have failed if i let him proceed with his work. I fired him on the spot. I ask Eddie if he could explain to me why the wall had no footer. He said it would have rebar. I asked him how certain things went together, he stayed quiet and couldn't answer. I told him to pack up and leave. BE WARNED!!! Look at the other review for 'ahawk concrete' not 'ahawk concrete llc'. you'll see someone who is having problems with Eddies quality of work. I'm glad i'm only out part and not the full amount i was going to give him. I think he was over his head in complexity and scope for the project and it showed.

Ahawk Concrete was one of 4 estimators I contacted for the job. Two felt the job was too small for them, and one was too far away to do the job. Ahawk came out, did estimate, and then did the work after the snow and ice cleared a few weeks later. Looks good!

Eddie was great. He was the first to respond and the first to bid, and was able to help my wife and I decide the overall look of the project and offered us options. He and his crew arrived as promised, dug the pathway and set the forms in one day. The day the concrete arrived, they arrived early, surfaced and stamped the concrete in a few hours, cleaned up everything, and left a beautiful path that they will be coloring this week. We expect the finish to be as good as the rest of the work, and are excited to see the end result. Definitely would hire again, and probably will use him to overlay the patio to match the path. Great job!

Eddie's team was fantastic. I will continue to recommend Eddie to others and use him on future concrete work around my house. My project was a fairly large project consisting of a demo and replacement of a significant amount of concrete. I also had a specific request of an exposed aggregate finish and the completed look is beyond my expectations. They worked hard to meet my requested timelines (even working long hours on a holiday) and the final product is great. I will continue to recommend Eddie to others and use him on future concrete work around my house.

I needed my driveway, front steps and walkway rebuilt after years of decay. Eddie provided me an extremely fair price and was able to begin work ahead of schedule, in the end Eddie and his team did a terrific job. Eddie is a true man of his word - timely, professional and a pleasure to work with. I would and have recommend Eddie to friends and family.

We had an uneven patch of ground between a set of front steps that needed to be addressed and Eddie did a highly professional job excavating, building the form and laying the concrete - all in a very timely manner. The finished product is perfect and exactly what we'd hoped for.

I needed 19 concrete steps replaced leading up to my house in between large rockeries and mature landscaping and Eddie performed the work for me. I got several quotes and Eddie was the second lowest (it was close), but I felt more comfortable working with him based on other reviews compared to the low bidder who only gave me a quote based on a texted photo rather than a site visit. He was also half as much as the 3rd quote that I obtained. Eddie is pretty informal, we did the job on a handshake, and I paid as he completed each step of the job. He was ale to get to my project in a short timeline and was very communicative by text message and phone calls. He showed up when he said he would and did good work. He also rebuilt the rockery along the stairs and cleaned up everything when he was done. Eddie is honest, hard working, and I would hire him again.

Eddie did an excellent job. If you need concrete work, look no further. I’m not one to recommend anyone but Eddie is a gem. Reasonably priced, very communicative, great work, on time I wish he did more than concrete as this is the kind of trades people I wish I could find. If I could give him more than an A rating I would. Big or small project, he makes you feel important and takes great care of you. I will certainly be using him for all my concrete needs.

Eddie called and came by on Sunday to discuss initial scope of work. Because of my budget, we divided the project into two parts. Eddie came out again on Thursday to measure and gave me a fair price. He started on Monday and was done on Wednesday. Eleven days from first contact to completion. Right on cue, a big rain came down hours after completion and the drain worked perfectly.

Eddie did it very differently than I would have; there was no cursing, skinned knuckles or collateral damage! His team was on time, on budget, professional and left no mess behind. The finished product is level, looks great and I'm happy that I contacted AHawk Concrete.

Great. Etimoli took change order in stride as we found out that we needed to pour the old front entry when after it was demoed. He and his team showed up on time, gave an estimate and kept their word. Kind of a big deal right now because of how busy all of the sub contractors are right now.
