Determined the real problem and fixed it. He had the proper tools to make the determination. He is expensive but I do not expect the same problem again. I will use him again and will be forewarned about the sticker shock.

I had a horrible experience. I was overcharged and the unit still did not function. He came out a second time and the problem was still not resolved. He promised to come back but informed me there would be further charges. I refused. Bottom line I paid $300.00 and still have a nonfunctioning unit.

He literally called within 10 minutes of my submission to Home Advisor, right before New Year's. He had a delay getting to our site, but let us know and showed up even after having a dental emergency (major kudos from me). He was extremely knowledgeable about our AC unit and very honest about what was worth repairing, what wasn't, what could be done now and what could wait. His honesty and experience were well worth what we paid. To those reviewers that complained he was too expensive, I say this: you get what you pay for. We'll eventually have to replace our AC, and he'll be the one doing it.

Hired them for a job 7/30 and just getting to do a review. He is quick to get in touch and quick to get appointment. Very nice person and punctual. He did tell me that coils needed cleaning and would cost $400+ and did blow out the pipe that goes to the outside. Just for blowing out the pipe with compressed air was $155. 82. He was nice enough to hook power wire from new thermostat to AC as he stated it would be free. This was not after hours call and found out that I had paid double what I should have and found coil cleaning from AC company for $250. Nice guy just really overpriced..

"Thank you, I appreciate the comments. First of all it was 8:30 at night and because of your association I had to park 4 blocks away. I don't charge extra for that. You had 3 other tech's come out and try to repair your unit and every one of them charged you something. I diagnosed it right the first time and you still think they are cheaper. they charged you and didn't fix it. I believe that if you look hard enough we all could find things cheaper but, not always better"

Heat Pump Repair or Service
Stefan came to my home to inspect the Heat Pump for my pool. He replaced the compressor for $1200. When I checked the heater the next day it was operating but did not produce any heat. I called him back and after 3 cancelled appts he said he needed to replace the thermostat and parts for over $650. After this the heater worked for1 week. After 2 weeks he "discovered" a problem with the computer board which he said he could bypass it.. After 2 weeks the heater stopped working again. Stefan said he would have to find a new board. He never called me back and I am out $2000.

"I replaced the compressor on his pool heater, and it was working fine. He called me the next day to tell me that the spa was not heating up. the trouble turned out to be 2 water valves that his pool guy had to replace. After the pool guy left the pool heater was not working again. I troubleshot and found the contactor and capacitors were shorted out. I fixed that and everything ran perfect for over 2 months he called again and said it was not working again. I troubleshot and found that the main board is not working and since the manufacturer is out of business we can't get one. I offered to replace the unit at cost which he refused."

"I'm confused, I went out to your rental property and troubleshot your a/c problem. I explained all of the problems with you and you decided to only replace the motor. I had to wait an hour for you to come to the property and inspect before you would pay me,which I gave you a discount on because you gave me more work on another property you owned. If you thought that I charged you too much and I did shoddy work, why would you want me to work on another property of yours?"

Stefan was the first person to respond. He came on time, diagnosed the problem and gave us our alternatives. We decided to put in a new system since ours was 12 years old. He gave us a fair price, the work was done promptly and neatly. His workers are excellent, polite and well trained. I would recommend Ahh Cool, it may not be the lowest price, but the way the work was done can't be beat.

I just wanted them to come out and give an estimate. The tenant that lived there said they were there only for about a half an hour. They did the job without calling me then charged me 3 times the market price to do the job. I was very displeased with the lack of communication and price.

The owner came to my home and was very pleasant. I explained that I needed to not spend too much money on this unit as I needed to get just one more year until it's replaced. I knew how much it would cost based on a previous estimate, and indicated this to the Ahh Cool. The final bill was too high, which he explained was because he put in an expensive thermostat to do a 'quality' job, for a one year need. When he finally finished - he started to leave. I had nor instuctions to use the new thermostat so I started pushing buttons, but the NEW thermostat was not working. He put in another thermostat, cheaper one? No price reduction. Not happy

"As I explained to the homeowner, all my repairs carry a lifetime warranty. I did not put in a cheaper thermostat and that was not the only repair I did for her that day. The thermostat that I installed will be good for this A/C unit and any other A/C unit that she gets to replace the one she has."
