Aire Serv of West Michigan

They were easy to work with especially over the phone because I don't live in the state of Michigan anymore so it's always a tedious task finding a company that will be willing to work with somebody that's out of state. So it was nice to have them be able to work with me, very easy.

They've maintenanced my furnace before I required a new one and they've always maintenanced the new one since I got it replaced about 3 years ago. Very easy to work with. I think I've been using them since 2008.

They have done tuneup service just 37 days ago to my furnace. <br /> Furnace stopped kicking off. Service guy came over afterhours (thanks for that) and did a fix to the loose connection for inducer motor. <br /> Fix didn't last for a day... Quote to replace the part  is half the price of new furnace of same 80% kind! Welcome to home ownership!!! <br />

Their service is as good as I get. The guy was one of the best I've ever seen. Everything was perfect. Their price was average.

The company sent an email a few days before the (scheduled) service call with a picture of the technician. The technician called about 15 minutes before the appointment to let me know he would be there soon. He showed up exactly on time. Herb, the technician was professional in conduct and appearance and in every way. he was knowledgeable and went about conducting the service call despite being pestered by my dog. After the service, Herb discussed his findings with me and answered a few of my questions on future work I want to have done on my system. Herb never gave me a hard sell on services or plans, which I really appreciate. In all he spent 2 hours on the call for the coupon price of 68$. I will definitely use this company in the future. <br />

During early Dec 2013, during one of the coldest winters in Michigan in 30 years, my furnace was having trouble keeping the house warm so I called Grand Ledge based Aire Serv to do a furnace check-up based on a coupon. They came out quickly and found a crack in the heat exchanger on my 20 year old furnace and shut it off, saying it was unsafe to run. Apparently it was about twice the BTU capacity than needed for the house and the constant shutting on and off had taken its toll. I was not the original owner so I am not sure why they over-sized the furnace. <br /> I asked for quotes on a new furnace on the spot and they tried to sell me a $17,000 furnace and said no enough that the price came down to around $6,000. I really didn't like the very rehearsed sales pitch. It was so focused on how much better their warranty and service was compared to others that I knew it would be pricey. I really wish they had just laid out all their models and the features and prices and just let me pick my comfort level in features and prices rather than a sleazy sales pitch. I recommend you force them to skip the sales pitch and go straight to the facts. <br /> I didn't have time to shop around and the house was very cold so I purchased one that night. They left some infrared heaters at no cost to help keep at least one room warm. I really appreciated that they offered to work a Saturday so we could have heat as soon as possible. They installed everything on time and as promised and were very nice. No complaints on the install experience at all. <br /> I went with a two-stage Amana furnace at half the BTU of the previous furnace. It had no problems keeping the house warm during the rest of that very cold winter. I like the two-stage motor and have to set to always run on low when not heating or cooling. That keeps the air moving through the house for more even temperature and greater comfort - it really is noticeably better than on/off heating. <br /> The exhaust venting couldn't go where they planned due to an unseen obstruction and so they had to vent it somewhere else that was a longer run and required extra work to get outside of the house. They did the extra work at no charge as promised. <br /> Bottom line - they are an excellent company that did high quality work and kept all their promises and gave me an excellent product that fit my needs well and did it all on a tight timeline. <br /> My only complaint is that since I was without heat, I feel I had to pay full price.But that is not their fault - that was mine for letting the furnace go bad and creating the emergency where I couldn't comparison shop. <br /> When they sent me the post-installation survey, I sent a full response equivalent to what I have written here. They never responded back to me. <br />

To fix the unit, they waived the entire diagnostic fee entirely, so there was no use to have the coupon.

Our system is dated and we were advised to plan for the future as the refrigerant is to be phased out by EPA regulations.  We will budget for the future if the rep had not arranged for the follow up this would have proved to be a hardship on our Church Members and definitely a severe blow to our budget and expenses. <br />

It has been working perfectly ever since. They were excellent. They were attentive to the issue, they were responsive, they were just great!

The first time i used them, two people came and i was pleased with their work. This time one person came and he talked a lot. He came to service the AC but he over charged us. I checked the fee for one pound on the internet but he charged us for 3 pounds and yet he did one pound. I will not use them again.

Mr. VanAlstine came to check and tune up my central air conditioner. He was very prompt and called to tell me he was on the way. He was very professional and very thorough. He explained what he was doing, answered all my questions and made suggestions. I was extremely happy with him. I would give him an A+. <br />

I currently own a rental property in Michigan. I often find it difficult to provide quality maintenance from afar, I live in Florida. When my tenant called and informed me that the furnace was not working, I immediately called Aire Serv. they have provided furnace tune ups for me in the past and have always provided top notch customer service.  <br /> I worked with Bradley Bonniville, their furnace retail rep. He was patient and took the extra time to assist me with picking out the best furnace unit for my budget. He even took pictures of the final product and sent them to me when everything was done! <br /> I highly recommend Aire Serv for any heating and air services.
