<p>I called a friend of mine and asked her to recommend someone because our AC unit was leaking water through the ceiling. She gave me a name and number and also said try attaching your shop vac to the drain and sucking out any debris. I did this and it helped. Water started flowing out of the drain hole again. </p> <p>The AC company was now on its way. When Randy the owner of Air Time showed, his helper named Vega went into the attic to see what was wrong. Vega crawled around in there and said the water was leaking off the front edge of the drip pan. He said the pan was warped. The pan was full of water at this time. I told Randy what I did with the shop vac and he said what I did probably solved the problem. He wrote on the invoice that they adjusted the pan, but they didn't do anything. The cost of this service call was $48. He said he would come back tomorrow to install a pan safety switch. Then they left.</p> <p>My wife and I went shopping. When we came home water was now coming in through the ceiling, and around the front door. We panicked, since Randy said the problem was fixed so we called him. He came back to the house, walked in through the front door and said to my wife "What am I doing here?" My wife said, to fix the AC unit. I had gone into the crawl space and started picking up water from the drain pan with my shop vac, a bucket and a roll of paper towels. Randy stuck his head into the crawl space and said to me, "what am I doing here?" I told him about the flood downstairs, he said he would clean out the secondary drain, and I said I would do it. He then ran out of the house with his helper Vega right behind him. This man has a real chip on his shoulder, and a bad attitude. I didn't want to pay another $48 service call fee for him to do nothing again. I finally cleaned out all of the water in the pan, and it runs good now and no water dripping. I think I should pay myself for a service call. </p> <p>By the way, he never came back to install the safety switch on the unit. He hasn't even called or apologized for his rude behavior. I am glad I didn't pay him up front for that switch like he had suggested.  </p> <br />
