very poor in all areas

I was very satisfied with their work. They did a really good job, and didn't take a long time doing it. Would recommend them to fellow homeowners.

The job started 12/20/04 with contract stipulation that it would be complete end of Feb. 2005. Job was finally completed on June 11, 2005. We had bad weather throughout the winter but the job still should had been completed in March or April.

BEWARE OF JIM ROSE A&J CONSTRUCTION.

I wouldn't let A@J Builders build my dog a doghouse. They began a job for us that was supposed to be finished by Memorial Day, 2004 and is still incomplete. We are currently in arbitration due to their incompetence. We have not been able to use our summer home for 2 years now and had to have someone else come to secure it for the winter.

We had some problems getting the job done in time for one reason or another, but the building crews were a pleasure to work with. They knew their craft and did an excellent job on my addition.

I contracted with A & J last May. The job was to be started on 07/06/04, and be completed by 08/30/04. It is now nearly a year layer, and all I have is a hole dug for a foundation, and the remnants of a very poorly poured footing and foundation, most of which needed to be torn down. The garage was supposed to be 26' x 30 ', but the foundation and footing were poured for 27' ON ONE WALL!. All torn down concrete is sitting in my yard. I cannot seem to get anyone to come back here, or even contact me. I am VERY dissapointed with your service!

Contractor has not shown up on site for 7 months. Hard to communicate with, won't immediately respond. Paid almost $9K in November for 2nd part of project. 1st part of project still not completed.

Per the contract all work was to be completed by November 30, 2004. Job wasn't completed until February 28, 2005. Delay was because the contractor installed the wrong windows. It shouldn't have taken 3 months to get the proper windows installed and the remaining work finished. It was a very frustrating experience.

We had to fire this contractor after waiting 7 months for him to finish the job he contracted to do. He did not keep us informed of his plans or progress and he never returned phone calls. He stated many many times that he would finish the job and never showed up as promised. We hired another Service Magic contractor to come in and finish the project after waiting on A & J Builders for over half a year to finish a supposedly 3 week project. Service Magic was very helpful in attempting to resolve the problems with this contractor, and I will use Service Magic again. I will not use this contractor again.

This company will be completing our project when we are ready to move forward.

All seemed to be well with this job until the first heavy wind and rain storm. We ended up with ceiling damage in two rooms. Call and left multiple messages with no response. Finally checked back with Service Magic only to find that we were not alone with our problems with their work. Tried again to reach them and phone had been disconnected. Luckily we had requested a Certificate of Insurance from A & J 's insurance company. Contacted the insurance company and the adjuster authorized payment for repairs. I can't stress enough the importance of making sure you ask for a certificate of insurance for any work done by a contractor.

He has not started building yet. It will start in a month I will complete rating when job is complete

I will use A & J Builders again. Jim is a pleasure to deal with and a man of his word. His crew is friendly and courteous.

**Declined, con has not given us permission to contact sp I have 2 skylights on my roof, and they had to come back 3 times to re-seal because they kept leaking. The workers were a little wild, and spent a lot of time goofing off, but eventually got the job done. The clean up after the job was poor at best. Overall, I'd say they did an okay job at an inexpensive price, but it took too long and caused me some headaches.

Jim Rose with A & J Builders provided excellent service and price for my project. He was extremely timely and professional, I would definitely recommend anyone with a home project to consider them...

We found our reference for a builder on the internet and we have never used that method before. So, as you probably know we were a little leery. We contacted Jim from A&J and he met with my wife and me in a very timely manor. Jim was easy to do business with and there was no pressure. Jim also has a great crew and they did an excellent job on our roof. We are very satisfied with the service we received. I found the services of A & J Builders to be very professional, they were able to come, assess the cost of replacing the roof accuratly, and replaced the roof in a very short time (shorter than originally estimated to get the job started and completed. i was very happy with the end result and would recommend them and plan on using them for house work in the future.

The three men that came to our home were polite and very efficient. I am truly pleased with the job that they did to fix our roof.

I will use this company again. They were honest, reliable and courteous. The job was done beyond expectation.
