I am so happy with AJF. Tony is a perfectionist and takes his time to do a perfect job. He has treated my house as his own and is not satisfied until the work is done right. He is also very responsive to calls/texts which is very refreshing and unusual these days. As well, he always follows through on what he has promised. His pricing is very reasonable and well worth the work that he has provided us. Tony and his crew remind me of how work used to be done - with consideration, quality and a good work ethic. I highly recommend AJF.

The work itself was fine. However, we found Tony to be difficult to work with professionally. This was our first major home renovation project and rather than patiently walking us through the steps he seemed annoyed every time we asked a question and his responses were almost always flip and condescending.  He added several charges to our final bill, both for additional services (none of which he had mentioned at the time he would be charging us extra for) and an electrical upcharge. When we asked for a detailed invoice of the additional charges he became angry and aggressive, accusing us of being late with payments (having given us the upcharged bill just three days prior) and threatening to show up at our house and collect whether or not we agreed on the charges. I wish in retrospect I had heeded the red flags raised when his initial response to my request for an estimate was dismissive, sarcastic, and condescending. We won't make the same mistake again. I am honestly shocked that almost 100% of the reviews are A+ ratings, especially given the multiple stories Tony himself told us about the conflicts he has had with previous clients.

They arrived on time every morning. My yard was very clean at the end of each day. The knowledge and attention to detail with this company made it a smooth project and it was completed in a timely manner as I was told. I would highly recommend this company and will be calling them back when I'm ready to do my windows and kitchen remodel.

Tony did a fantastic job. He arrived when he said he would. He knew just what to do to support the front entrance roof while replacing each column. He completed the installation and clean-up in about 3 hours. I definitely would hire AJF Construction for my next project.

It was a complicated job but he handled it beautifully and did a complete repair.

Tony was great. We could not have been more pleased with the quality of the work and we felt that his price for the work was an excellent value. We'll surely be calling Tony again for future work we need done.

Tony arrived on time, was very efficient, did a great job of ensuring the door was sealed from the outside air and elements, did caulking, foam insulation, used primed wood, did fine finish work, spoke with my husband along the way to ensure the right decisions, and even rewired the new door for the alarm system. Everything looks great! I now just need to do finish painting work on the door casing (our door was prepainted). Tony's on the top of my list for our next carpentry job. Note: the cost of service does not include the door itself.

This is the third job that I've hired AJF Construction to do at my house and it won't be the last. First, Tony arrives when he says he will. Tony returns phone calls promptly. Tony gives his honest, unvarnished, expert opinion which invariably leads to us saving money on our projects. This bath remodel went great. He and his crew are polite and respectful of the impact a remodel has on the family life. Most importantly, his workmanship is outstanding. The more I use the new master bath, the more I notice the fine details he put into this job. He takes no short cuts, yet works quickly and efficiently. The subcontractors he uses for electrical and plumbing are of equally high quality. He also stands by his work, making contact after the job is finished to ensure we are satisfied. There was a minor plumbing issue and his plumber was there within a day to fix it. I will trust AJF Construction for all future home projects.

Tony is, without a doubt, the best contractor I have dealt with over the past 20+ years as a homeowner! I needed work done on a couple different areas of my house last Fall, one due to damage cause by an exterior water leak. Tony got back to me right away (none of the other contractors even bothered to return my calls!), was more than accommodating when it came to my work schedule, showed up on time, and completed the work exactly as promised. He walked me through everything that needed to be done when he first came over to provide the estimate, and as he was making the repairs. He takes a great deal of pride in his work, and it shows in the end results! I recently ran into another problem, contacted Tony, and not only did he come over that very same week to take a look, but he performed the repairs right away! I could not have been more pleased! If you are looking for an honest, reliable contractor you can trust to get the job done, I would *highly* recommend AJF Construction! I would not hesitate to contact Tony again for any work I need done in the future!

AJF Construction did an excellent job. The two people who worked on our project, one of whom is the owner, were professional, honest, easy to work with, and very meticulous in the quality of their work. One major part of the project required the disassembly, cleaning, repair and replacement of floor-to-ceiling screens in a screened-in porch. This was custom-built, so each panel only fit its original location, and disassembly was complicated by some settling of the porch. They did a beautiful job on it, and did not paint over any hardware, so the next time it needs fixing it will be easy to do so. The quotes were detailed and there were no cost overruns. They did a great job on everything, kept us informed as the work progressed, and left the site cleaner than it was when they started. We were very impressed. We recently hired them again to replace a slide glass door. They did a wonderful job on that too.

Tony did a fantastic job. Started when expected and stayed on schedule. Always offered cost saving alternatives explaining all the pros and cons. He arrived on time and cleaned up at the end of each day. He’s definitely my “go to” guy for any project.

I had multiple issues in need of repair/replacement. Front porch, back deck, doors, windows, siding, trim/rake/corner boards, flooring, insulation, drywall, plastering. Tony was always on time, started and stayed on the job to completion and his fee was reasonable. His attention to detail gives the quality of his work an A+. I would absolutely hire him again and highly recommend AJF Construction without reservation.

Excellent design based on our needs and requirements. Considered cost and performance and proposed an affordable solution. Work was outstanding and product exceeded expectations.

Tony came out and looked at our gutters that got damaged over winter. Tony said he could repair, it was a small job, so was able to fit us in between jobs. Came right on time, fixed gutters, cleaned up and left His price was very reasonable. My husband and I were very happy with his work and customer service. Will call him again for a future project we are planning.

It started out as a smaller project to rebuild the stairs. After the initial consult and estimate, I took out the two bushes that were in the way of where the new stairs were going to go. When Tony showed up to start work, he discovered several things that required us to expand the scope of the project. He was really straight-forward with the explanation and apologetic even though it wasn't his fault at all. We decided to go forward with the additional work. Tony and his crew were fantastic through the whole project. When issues came up, he consulted me and walked me through options. He showed up when he said he would. He went way out of his way to find balusters and post caps at the last minute. He worked really hard to keep the project costs low. I really appreciated it! We have a much much safer porch and stairs and the walkway is beautiful. We're very happy with how it all turned out!

Tony & his crew were awesome. They were always responsive to our questions & emails, were always on time and the quality of their work far exceeded our expectation. Tony was direct & honest any time issues arose and gave us options to choose from without ever making us feel pressured -- and despite encountering a few issues, we stayed within budget! He is truly a professional, and we look forward to working with him in the future. We've already recommended his services to personal friends & family!

It went great and finished on time

Tony was prompt and professional from start to finish. He took his time to really look at the job and gave a detailed and thorough estimate which meant there were no surprises at the end. The quality of his work was impeccable. He matched stain, dealt with structural issues, and made everything look as if it had always been there. We have been admiring and enjoying the new doors and his workmanship ever since!
