Let's just say I saved a lot of money by having them come out and provide a second opinion.  ACE came on-site promptly and diagnosed relatively light issues with our units that were causing them to not operate correctly.  They performed some of the repairs to get some sections running that day, even in the 100+ degree heat we were having and came back in two days with a repair part to fix the remaining unit.  These units have run non-stop without any additional intervention.  Can't believe another provider was trying to tell us to replace the units for a very considerable cost when ACE was able to quickly see and diagnose the issues. <br /> I recommend them to everyone and am so glad to have found an HVAC company I can trust! <br />

<p>On June 13, my air conditioner that services my upstairs failed (breaker kept tripping).  Called my home warranty company (Choice Home Warranty) and they assigned AL Comfort Experts to troubleshoot/diagnose issue.</p> <p>On June 15, AL Comfort Experts came out as scheduled and identified that my compressor had locked up.  They reported this to Choice Home Warranty to effect repair/replacement of the compressor but CHW stated to me that it was reported that my unit was  'not well maintained' by AL Comfort Experts.  I contacted AL Comfort Experts and they not only told me they reported my unit had been 'well maintained', they also wrote/sent me a letter to that effect.  My issues lie with my warranty company, not with AL Comfort Experts.  I had several conversations with the owner Terry, for we both were a bit irritated with CHW. </p> <p>So, after several days of fighting with CHW over getting my unit repaired under warranty, it became clear that they would not replace my failed compressor, despite me providing them with almost 6 years of records of maintenance.  They actually told me if it had been serviced the week before, they still would not cover it.</p> <p>It was through my conversations with Terry that I found them to have a high level of integrity.  AL Comfort Experts is a wonderful family owned company with many years of experience.  I found them to be very honest, forthright about the issues with my air conditioner and they provided me with a couple of options (repair or replace).  After comparing the costs, it was clear that replacement of my Trane compressor (proprietary and expensive), it was much better to do pretty much a complete replacement, as my current unit was 15 years old.  Made no sense to repair at this point.</p> <p>On June 23rd, Terry (owner) of AL Comfort Experts and an employee came out as scheduled and did a wonderful job of not only installing my new unit and removal of my old unit, they did a top notch job of cleaning up.  Their costs were exactly what they quoted me (no one likes surprises).  There were very professional, came in a nicely marked vehicle, and introduced themselves upon arrival.  They answered all my questions I had and were meticulous in their work.  I especially like the system he provided me (Westinghouse) and explained the warranty to my satisfaction.</p> <p>I have already given them permission to use me as a reference and have also hired them to do the servicing of both my Goodman main package unit that services my downstairs and the new Westinghouse system that services upstairs.  They have my highest recommendation!</p> <br />

Repair man showed upon time, performed maintenance on both units and the two furnaces.  He was extremely professional and wasted no time in preforming the maintenance, cleaned up the area completely.  When he worked inside the home he cleaned off his shoes and made sure he did not  track inside the home. <br />

<p>We are new here, so we did not know what to expect, but they were great.</p>

<p>On Monday morning, I found that the A/C was no longer working upstairs. I had to turn off the power, because it seemed to be stuck in heat mode. I filled out an online form with my home warranty company, and I got an e-mail response saying that Alabama Comfort Experts would be contacting me. They called a short while later, and my appointment was set for between 11 AM and 1 PM. I received an e-mail just after 10 AM saying that they were on the way. The technician arrived by 10:30 AM, and he had the problem diagnosed quickly. The thermostat appeared to be working (changing modes, etc.), but it was no longer controlling the unit. He confirmed by pulling the thermostat and testing with the wiring directly. He did not have a thermostat like mine on the truck, but he went straight to the parts house, and had one back and installed in less than an hour. My only charge was the trade call fee on the home warranty. If there was an A+++ for punctuality, I would have given it to Alabama Comfort Experts, and I would definitely call them again for any HVAC work that I need to have done.</p> <br />

I have the owner's cellphone number and I can call him anytime I wanted. If he wouldn't answer my call, I'd leave a message and he always get right back. I had a great experience with him and I'd recommend him to anybody.

Contacted office, reached someone right away and made an appointment.  Received a electronic notification with a picture of the technician on the day of service and an alert when he was about 15 minutes from my home.  He arrived on time and was dressed appropriately.   He serviced my American Standard Air Conditioner and replaced a part.  He was willng to answer all my questions and his explanations were understandable.  I was impressed enough to sign up for a service agreement.   I also recieved a copy of the bill electronically to my email inbox.  I liked this feature. <br />
