Friday March 6th had a repair tech from ALC come to my house for Samsung washer repair. He advised the drain pump is bad and needs replacing. He advised company policy requires ordered part and labor has to be prepaid and part would be delivered in 3 to 5 days. I paid $280.57 to cover the part and flat rate labor. I made follow up calls on the 10th, 11th, and 12th and was told on each call the part was not in. During that same time frame I began having issues with the dryer as well and decided to replace both units and cancel the ALC repair. Monday the 16th I advise Katie at ALC that I am requesting cancellation and refund of my charged amount minus $85 for the initial diagnostic visit.Tuesday the 17th I got a call back from Katie to advise there is no refund for parts I asked where can I pick up the part I have paid for. She advised the part is still not available...and this is 11 days from original visit. Also on the 17th I filed a review and complaint on the Better Business Bureau web site. I noticed the existing reviews on the BBB site were all negative and they all have experiences very similar to mine. Friday the 20th I called and Katie says the part is now in the warehouse. I once again requested to get the part and get a refund. I also sent emails on the 14th and 17th and neither one was answered. It is now April 6th and I still don’t have any refund or the part that was ordered. During this whole experience I feel misled and feel that this company is operating in bad faith on a daily basis. The first time they said they knocked on the door and no one answered. I was sitting in the house waiting for them. They said they called but they said they did not record my number correctly. I ended up calling them and asking for a written estimate and they said they didn't do that. I paid about $95 and can't get a written estimate. That's pretty poor.

Needed new pump. Had to be ordered. When technician went to install it, he discovered a badly kinked hose. This also has to be ordered, but he tried to open the kink so the washer will function until the new hose can be installed. Appreciate his not just putting in the new pump only to gave it burn out.

The repair person was there within 2 hours of my call. He stated two parts needed to be ordered and it would take 2-3 days. 10 days later, its not fixed nor have I gotten an answer as to when it will be repaired. Emails have not been answered either. I called 5 days, 7 days and now 10 days after the visit. If the parts are difficult to obtain or late in arriving, it would be professional and the correct thing to do is SAY something. But by not, they are looking shady.

needed to order part said would be in on Monday waited for them to call as they said would be able to repair on Tuesday or Wednesday. Did not hear from anyone. Called them the following week and set appt for them to complete job. I do not know how long I would have had to wait for them to call me. Part came in on Monday. I HAD TO PAY FOR COST OF THE PART UP FRONT.......AND WHEN THAT HAPPENED I SAID TO HIM.....SINCE YOU HAVE ALREADY BEEN PAID YOU HAVE NO REASON TO HURRY BACK BUT HE ASSURED ME THEY WOULD BE BACK AS SOON AS THE PART ARRIVED. I WOULD NOT TRUST WHAT THEY SAY.

Nate was great. When was the last time that someone actually provided service for the service call fee? He diagnosed the cause of my leaky refrigerator, fixed an ill-fitting door gasket, carefully took apart the back of the freezer and drip line assembly, cleaned out the pieces, checked the drip pan and compressor, showed me a couple areas of future concern, removed several blockages and help me clean under and behind the fridge, tested everything and moved it back in place. Very pleased.

I’m not sure how so many people have had a great experience, and I did not. Scheduler was friendly and technician was prompt. From there it went south, quickly. Technician diagnosed the issue as the oven needing a new control board. He quoted labor/parts at close to $400 (the cost of a brand new oven). A quick Internet search shows the part to be less than $140 and labor should be a little over $100 - far less than the price quoted by ALC. Then, the technician charged a service fee of $85. The service fee on Angie’s List is shown as $60. I despise companies who take advantage of other people.

"MS [Member Name Removed], I am very sorry to hear about your experience. However Your review is implying that we were giving you false information on pricing, parts, labor and or services. This is not the case! All parts we use are factory OEM Replacements. We can not use used, re-manufactured or new parts from the internet, ebay or amazon ect. Parts can sometimes be found cheaper on the internet like ebay ect. However we can not use any other parts than Factory OEM Replacements from the manufactures. This is by contract and to Insure the quality and longevity of the part will last and matches your appliances specifically. Your quote for your repair was $390 plus tax, the control board per your model was $265 plus shipping not the 140 as you stated. Also when you called in to schedule your appointment with dispatch, you were informed before you made an appointment that the service fee was in deed $85 not $60. We are an honest company and all of our customers are aware of pricing for service fees before an appointment is scheduled. Again we are very sorry your appliance parts were expensive but we do not have control over the cost of parts. If there is anything else we can do for you, please just let us know."

This was a multiple week process on both the refridgerator and the stove. They had to come out 4 times for the refridgerator - a process of elimination but got it fixed. For the stove, they came out twice - the first replacement control panel was faulty. I was only charged for the original parts and labor. I will say this, Danny is a business owner determined to do the right thing for his customers. He is a very good detective in running down tough problems.

Excellent. I called yesterday, Monday, and Chris was sent out today. Couldn't ask for more responsive service. He called a half hour before arriving so I could put my dogs away. In about an hour he had diagnosed and repaired the problem, no parts required. Very nice guy, very pleasant to deal with. I almost feel like I should have some minor complaint, just so this review sounds authentic, but I'd have to make one up. The best service company I've dealt with in years, bar none.

They had to come out 4 times to eventually get it fixed. Ordered 2 different parts over 3 weeks. Went a few days without a functioning refrigerator. Eventually was fixed. I also had them order a new touch pad for my stove 12 days ago. They have not returned my call or set up an appointment to fix yet. I had to pre-pay. I might have to down grade if they don't call soon.

Came the next day and water drained fine when tested. He ran several diagnostics and identified as a power surge problem that he explained how to avoid in the future. Pointed out other issues that would be problems later but did tell me they were not needed yet. I chose to have second problem addressed now anyway so ordered parts. Tried to launder clothes that night but again water would not drain--this time I left the washer as it was (full of wet clothes and undrained water) instead of emptying it as I had the first time. Called and they came the next afternoon. When he tested this time the water would not drain with the clothes in it, so he immediately identified the problem as the drain pump. So when both parts came in they replaced everything at once for me, and it is working like a dream again! Efficient but thorough!

They did not arrive during the scheduled window, so I called the owner and he answered, called the tech and gave me a call back to let me know he was running behind but would be there, so that was good. Diagnosed the problem as the DW needed a new sump pump and motor, which was almost $300 including. I went ahead and scheduled for the work for the next day tentatively depending on the tech's availability, but at the latest, the day after. After no call and well past normal hours the 2nd day, I called to check in and he was running late again. He did show up the second day, but later at night (7 PM or later). The washer worked for one cycle and then i noticed my carpet near the kitchen was all wet. The washer leaked after the repair which it did not prior to the fix. I called ALC on a Friday afternoon several times and left messages with no return call. I did get an apologetic call Monday from the owner and scheduled a return visit with the technician. The tech diagnosed the leak as blown gaskets as the result of the new pump putting out higher pressure and worn seals. The gaskets (O rings) were price at nearly $50. They did not charge for the service call on the 2nd visit and once the O rings were replaced, the DW has worked fine. Overall, I think they do quality work but are temporarily understaffed and busy which led to the late arrivals and not calling back in timely fashion. Bottom line is I would hire them again.

The guy was great, he was super. I broke a glass but I couldn't find it. He was looking for the glass but he took the whole dishwasher apart and cleaned the gunk out of everything. I thought the price was reasonable. <br /> <br /> Every time we turned the dishwasher on the top gizmo was banging up against of lid of the dishwasher. And it was bent because one end had too much gunk in it. He pulled that out and cleaned it out. He actually had to use toothpicks. He asked me if I had any toothpicks to clean out the really small places. I thought that was just over and above.
