He did good, but later we realized many of the holes were patched uneven and required additional.work. We had to pay the painter to fix. In fairness to Al, we never called him back because we worried about the amount of time it would take to get him back workout interrupting the painter <br />

Al was extremely responsive and kept be apprised as to when he would arrive.  His bid was competitive.  Al did the work himself along with one helper.  He did a great job of completing the repairs and making sure the color and texture matched perfectly.  He completely covered the floor and furniture as necessary.  We takes pride in his work and made sure we were satisfied.  Al cleaned the work areas upon completion of the job.  I would not hesitate to use him again. <br />

Al did a beautiful job of Venetian plaster and cleaned up completely when the job was finished. We definitely will use Al Garza for all our future drywall and/or plaster work. <br />

After getting under contract, the plaster was very rushed. In order to dry the layers of plaster faster, a forced air propane heater was dangerously propped up and left to run unattended. It was a real fire concern. When protection was removed from a newly stained wood panel wall, the wood along the edge was left damaged. The plaster cracked afterward, but I didn't want to call him back for fear of getting yelled at, as he did several times during the job. Bottom line, he probably caused as much in damage as he corrected in doing the job in the first place <br />

We live in Altadena so I thought it might be too far for Al to come out, but he did so willlingly.  A few days later we received his estimate, along with two others.  I felt Al was extremely professional and detail oriented, so we hired him.  The job took two days as he said it would and it was perfect!

We're DIY'ers remodeling our master bathroom. The remodel affected several of the walls, where we had to rehang drywall. Knowing the difficulty of doing the tape, mud and texturing ourselves, we called Al to help us out. <br /> <br /> Al was prompt in coming out to the house to provide a quote. We also had him redo our kitchen ceiling. In a previous DIY project, where we converted a fluorescent in-ceiling box light to canned lights, we were never happy with the tape, mud and texture work we had done ourselves. Al also fixed some earthquake damage in the living room area. The quote for everything was very reasonable, and his final price was exactly what he quoted - no surprises. <br /> <br /> Al and his 2-man crew arrived on time, and were thorough in prepping all the areas to avoid any mess. Al is a skilled craftsman/artist in plasterwork, which is demonstrated through his attention to the detail in the finished product. The textures matched the existing textures, not leaving any trace that there had been new work done. They completed the work in one day, and when done, left everything cleaner than when they arrived! <strong>They were polite and respectful</strong> <strong>while they were in our home</strong> <strong></strong>. I would highly recommend Al and his team, and will use them again when the need arises.

They did an amazing job for a very reasonable price. They were completely professional and absolutely excellent.  They were exceptional.  Al himself does the work with a couple of his workers.   They are very professional and respectful.  They are always on time.  They do it what they are going to do by the time they say they are going to do it.  I am very happy and I thank Angies List for the reviews since it really helped me.

The contractor and his crew did an outstanding job.  The work was completed very professionally, and Al Garza, the contractor, worked with my schedule, which I really appreciated.  The contractor and crew protected floors and window coverings before starting and while working.  Even before the paint, I could see the excellent job they did in patching and finishing the walls and ceilings.  Al Garza paid exceptionally close attention to detail.  This was very evident throughout the extensive work he performed in such a proficient manner. In addition to ensuring the patches became "invisible", he took great care in matching textures throughout the house. At completion, clean up was very thorough.  I've had drywall work done in the past, and have seen varying levels of quality from other dry wall contractors.  I can't emphasize enough the high quality of Al Garza's work.  I would definitely use his services again.

Consistantly Al is on time, and does a great job. His estimates were the best, of course so we tried him the first time and loved his work and prices. He did the work in a very timely manner, and finished when he estimated the time the work be done. He and his crew worked quietly and very respectfully, and cleaned up after themselves thoroughly. If you need drywall to be done, he's your man ! Obviously, I highly recommend him.
