DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES!! If you decide to ignore the all caps and exclamation points, then make sure not to pay until your appliance has been completely fixed. We called "All-Star" to take a look at our fridge which was not cooling properly. They quoted their fixed priced of $350. Their technician came the next day, as promised and on time, and told me to thaw out the freezer. He said he would return the next day to install a new control panel. I did as instructed and sure enough, he returned the next day and spent as much time as he did the day before, about 5 minutes. He collected two payments in those two days, and was on his way with a handshake. The fridge worked for about 24 hours, and then the water stopped flowing. I notified him of the issue and said to wait the weekend to see if it would turn on again, it didn't. I called them again, he came back and used our blow dryer to thaw out the water line. Again, he left with a handshake in tow. The fridge stopped cooling again shortly thereafter and I notified him again. He came back and said that this time a cable had gotten loose and again in 5 minutes, collected his handshake, and bounced. Rinse and repeat. This time when I called he said he had ordered a new part for the fridge and would let me know when it came in. He never did and spent the next couple of weeks screening my calls and ignoring my voicemails. I had been ghosted by the appliance man like we had met on Tinder. My wife and I eventually called BGE Home Services and their technician was a delight compared to the money and handshake thieves of "All-Star Appliance Repair". He replaced the defrosting element part that was the issue and said any qualified technician would have easily noticed this in one visit. He also changed our light bulbs. I am still stalker calling the bozos at "All Star" but we eventually got our money back by declining the charges through our credit card company. SO I REPEAT, DO NOT, AGAIN, DO NOT USE ALL-STAR APPLIANCE REPAIR!! They will drain your life of money, time, energy, and handshakes.

I made an appointment for September 19, 2012, to receive an estimate for a repair to my LG Tromm dryer. The tech was scheduled to arrive between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m., and he arrived about 6:00 p.m. He looked at the dryer and told me that a new drum was required due to a hole. I asked for an estimate. He said he would call the next day and provide the requested information. I paid $65.00 for the service call at the time of the visit. I called on September 20th and left a message but did not receive a return call. I called again on September 21st. Someone did answer, and I requested the estimate. He called me back and said the part and repair would be $340. The cost of the service call would be deducted from the cost resulting in the balance of the repair costing $275. I stated that I would call right back after I spoke to my spouse. I called back and told the service tech that I wanted to go ahead with the repair. He stated that the part had to be ordered, and it would be 5 ? 7 business days for it to come in. I would then receive a call to schedule the repair. I agreed to those conditions.

By October 3, 2012, the eighth business day, I had not yet received a call. I called, left a message for a return call, but did not receive one. I called again on October 4th and was told that the part would be in sometime that day. An appointment was scheduled for Friday, October 5th, for an arrival time of between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. No one came to my home for this appointment nor did anyone attempt to contact me. Beginning at 7:15 p.m., I made several contact attempts by phone and e-mail but did not receive any response.

I contacted All Star Appliance again on Monday, October 8th and received an apology (but no explanation) for the missed appointment. It was re-scheduled for Tuesday, October 9th for an arrival between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Again, no one from All Star Appliance came to my home for this appointment nor did I receive a phone call. Over the subsequent weeks, I have made many attempts to contact All Star Appliance and have received no feedback at all.

Based on what has happened, I am requesting a refund of the $65.00 service charge that I paid for the initial visit. Since I had given the approval to go forward with the repair and All Star Appliance has not held up their side and appears to have no intention to do so, I am owed this refund since I now am forced to contact an alternate company and start this process again.
We had an appt on a Friday night for Eric to look at my dryer which had stopped working. Our time slot was 6-8 and he would call 30 minutes before he got there. At 7:40 I began to call him to ask where he was. He finally answered and said his tech was busy at another job but I could wait longer or he could come the next day and he would give me a discount. I chose the next day. He said I would be his first customer of the day and he would be there between 8-10. At 10:40 after many missed calls from me he called and said he was on his way. A half hour later I called to ask how much longer and he said he was 3 minutes away according to the GPS. He showed up about 40 minutes after that and replaced the thermostat. A month later I'm having my original problem and he was supposed to come Wednesday but cancelled because he "didn't have the part in stock"...so we rescheduled for tonight and he said he'd be here between 6 and 7...it's 7:40, he's not here, and he's not answering. Such a waste of time and money!
My refrigerator/freezer began to lose coolness (15+ degrees) in a week and continued loosing coolness until it became room temperature. I scheduled an appointment for All-Star Appliances. On Friday August 24,2012 a repairman identifying himself as Eric came from All-Star Appliances to fix our refrigerator (GE Model #GSS235GSBSS Serial # DL406385). He came, worked with some tools, and said he installed a defrost thermostat that cost $114.58 plus tax. The service fee of $65.00 was waived because I let him do the repair. A check for $114.58 was given for the part. He emailed me an invoice. The invoice stated that all work comes
with a 90 day parts and labor warranty.
Approximately a week later Friday August 31, 2012 I noticed a reduction in refrigerator/freezer temperature by 15+ degrees. I called All-Star and scheduled an appointment for September 5, 2012 between 6-7pm. I was called at 6:30pm and was told by an All-Star
representative (not Eric) that "they" were on their way. They neither called nor showed that evening. I called the next day in
the afternoon and spoke to a man who sounded like and identified himself as Eric. He told me he was sorry and that he would come, himself, for service. The appointment was for 6:30pm that same day (September 6, 2012). He never showed up nor did he call
after that. I have called the same number to the business (since the first time I called) more than 5 times every
day from different phones. I left no messages. I got no response. My wife left two messages on the answering service for them to call her. There was no response. The answering service today (September 8, 2012) says there is no room to leave messages.
Our dishwasher broke, he came over, investigated, took some pieces apart and said it needed a new motor (which it likely does). We paid $50 for the assessment that would go towards the repair (estimated for about $200) which we scheduled with him for Friday 6/29/12 between 10:00 and 12. At 12:20 Friday afternoon I called and asked if he was coming, he was polite and apologetic and said he would be there by 1pm. At 1pm he called to say his previous job wasn't there and that he was waiting for them. He said I was his next job and that he would call when he was 30 minutes away from my house. That was the last I heard from him! He never called again to say if he was coming or not. Just a complete no-show! At around 5:45 I called him back and left a message asking for an explanation, info, something. It is now the next week, Wednesday, and he never called back either of the numbers he had for us. So for 50 bucks I got a theory on why my dishwasher broke, some broken parts in the dishwasher and a wasted day waiting around for a no show. I do NOT recommend!!

Had a previous bad experience with another appliance company, Abbbaa Repair. AllStarr Repair was the on the opposite end of the service spectrum. Repairmen showed up on a sat at no extra charge. Appt window was from 1-5pm and they arrived around 4:30. Service and repairmen attitude was professional and efficient. I did explain the problem with my oven over the phone when setting up the appointment, so they showed up with the proper replacement part. Will most likely use them again

All-Star responded quickly to my request for a repair and provided friendly, professional service quite a bit cheaper than the poorly rated company the manufacturer recommended. Will definitely be calling these guys first in the future for all my home appliance repairs.

On the day of my first appointment with All Star Appliance, they were to arrive between 1:00 and 5:00pm. They did not show up at all. At 4:30, I called, and they said they'd meant to call me and cancel but they had written down the wrong phone number. Their next available date was the following week. I was ready to say thanks, but no thanks, so they offered to repair my dryer for total labor costs of $65, (the amount of the nonrefundable service fee).

A week later, with an appointment between 1:00 and 5:00, once again, I called at 4:30 to find out where they were. They said they were two blocks away. They didn't arrive until at 6:00pm. They couldn't fix the dryer without a part, so they jerry-rigged it with a wad of duct tape and said they'd be back in two days. Several days went by, and I had to call them back to find out if the part had come in. They made another appointment between 1:00 and 5:00. That time, they didn't arrive until after 7:00pm. And they still didn't have all of the parts to fix the dryer. They promised they'd order the rest of the parts and make sure my appointment was the first one of the day the next time. That was over two weeks ago. I haven't heard from them since. My dryer is still not repaired. Today, they cashed my $65 check, so I decided I'd better put my story on facebook before somebody else was ripped off. I can only assume that the A ratings on this page are from their mothers and friends, because the two stooges that I dealt with were a huge waste of my time and money!

I called them and they were on there way to another client, but they realized that I was on their way. They were at my house in 15 minutes, plus it was a Saturday. THey came in and fixed it within 10 min. They told me on the phone to take everything out and leave the door open, so I was ready for them. But they did a very good job.

After 20 minutes of work a new part was installed and the oven heated up faster than it ever had. The price was a little higher than we were quoted but hopefully we won't have any more problems for as long as we have the oven, so it was worth it.

Experience was grea, very responsive. I called Eric, explained the issue. Within 1/2 an hour, Eric got back to me with a total cost and I gave Eric the go ahead to order the replacement cooktop. Within 10 days the replacement was in and we set up the install for the following week. Everything went very smoothly. I would use Eric again for any appliance needs we may have in the future.

Honesty and trustworthiness is fundamental in any successful professional interaction. Sure, the ideal would have been to have had the problem fixed right the first time. However Eric did not run away from the problem, he saw to it that we were guided to a successful resolution, and paid for it as well. In my many years I have never experienced such outstanding, indeed extraordinary customer care. Would thus strongly recommend this company and would use it again.

Our refrigerator lost its ability to cool. All-Star came out on several occasions and attempted diagnosis. They had us defrost the refrigerator several times. Then they changed out a motherboard to the tune of $315, but the system still does not operate properly. We tried to have them out again to correct the problem and follow up on their service but they do not return our calls. We are turning to more reputable providers.
