It was good. They delivered as promised. They did a good quality of work.

I called to find out what it would cost to replace my back fence.  They showed up a day later and provided a proposal.  The proposal included the cost of additional options listed at the bottom.  I liked this because I didn't get the sales upsell routine.  They provided the additional options and I had the opportunity to choose larger horizontal rails without the pressure.  They were able to schedule me within a couple of weeks.  They told me what week it would be and said I would get a call form them the day before they come out.  I told them I had to get a call prior, because I have dogs and I didn't want to keep them in the house all week while waiting for them.  I also wanted to supervise the installation.  I received a call when they arrived at my house and realized they couldn't tear down the fence with the dogs in the back yard.  I told them I was at work and they were supposed to let me know prior to showing up.  They had to wait for me to get home.  They tore down the old fence, dug the holes, and sunk the posts in approximately 2-3 hours and then they left.  They came back the next day to build the fence.  All in all, they did a good job.  I only had a couple of complaints which they did make good on, eventually.  They put one defective board up, which should've never been installed and they took a long time to pick up the old fence boards.  I made sure they did not receive payment until they totally completed the job.  I had to call them several times to get them to replace the bad board, but when they came out the guy said he wanted to replace a couple of other boards he felt were not good quality.  It took them even longer to take the old fence off.  I believe they have some internal communication problems, but they always provided good customer service over the phone.  I have received compliments on my fence, so I know they did a good job.  They provided the cheapest quote and it was worth it.  I just had to be persistent. <br />

To their credit, the quality of the fence was very good. However, there were two major problems which they were unwilling to resolve. First, they did properly include in their initial estimate that I would be charged extra if new metal fence posts were needed. However, the initial conversation with them indicated that this wasn't likely. They then drilled 21-22 new holes with new fence posts- WHILE TAKING DOWN EXISTING METAL FENCE POSTS WHICH WERE IN PERFECT ORDER. Their defense was that I should have known the ground under my home was rocky; my rejoinder was that they had recently worked on other homes in my block and should have given me a much better cost estimate up front. <br /> The second problem is that they did not complete their work by the promised date. This was a particular problem, because the neighbors with whom we share a fence had a dog and the temporary fencing did not even beging to restrain this dog as the temporary fence was sloppily installed. It also caused me to cancel travel plans, and their response was that I should be grateful they finished when they did. <br /> There were other small problems such as bits of concrete being left scattered around my yard. This company is sloppy and unrepentant, and I would not hire them again. <br />

If you want a inferior shortcut job with a premium price, you are welcome to take your chances. If you want someone that will do what they say they will do, look elsewhere.

I got several quotes and this was not the lowest, but it was very competitive. They responded quickly to the internet request for a quote and keep me informed through out the process. I made changes even after the crew arrived to do the work. They were able to give me estimates on what various changes would cost and once I made a decision they followed through immediately. Originally I was expecting several days for completion and instead it took only one day. They cleaned up and left replacement wood for me. Very nice. <br /> <br />
