It took some time to schedule. The job performed was mediocre, the driveway will have to be sealed again this year. Sealant was splashed onto the house near the driveway.

Nothing was performed. Agent assured me he would be available to perform work in the District during cold weather but have not heard from contractor since November. I was flexible for dates in December.

Well, the work they did was fine, but I was quite taken back, because the price was only for 50 square feet. Beyond that there was an additional price that would have brought it up to $250. I think that deal wasn?t a deal. It doesn?t feel like a discount. We arranged some kind of a negotiated price after that, but still, I was taken back.

The actually charge based upon the square feet would have had it at $250. I said, ?would you do it for $200?, and he said, ?yes?. The whole thing kind of turns me off. It looks fine! He said the work is for oil and you can get it cheaper if it is water based, but this is an oil based. It was neat, they did everything they said they were supposed to do.

For a small operation, the crew was very concerned about how the worked turned out and was very professional. Based on the results, this product would do better with two coats. Some bare spots started to show even after waiting a few days before driving on it.

I paid for the service on 4 Nov 2016 and it has not been completed to date (28 Nov). I emailed the company via the Angie's List website for so far no response. I now have to figure out how to get my money back.

Couldn't be happier. Becky and her team's work ethic is second to none and she was prompt in every aspect of our relationship, from showing up when promised to quickly returning phone calls. The work was done to a very high standard

The special covered 500 square feet for $89. The driveway had two large cracks and a couple of smaller ones. Becky at All American contacted us almost immediately after we purchased the special and arranged a date to visit and measure/assess our driveway. Our driveway measured 1,814 square feet, so we needed to purchase additional coverage at $328. The total bill was $417. Although this price is a bit higher than some of the other driveway sealers that operate in our area, this company uses oil-based sealant which binds with the existing blacktop rather than just covering the top; this product is of higher quality; therefore, we expect it will last longer. Becky told us in advance that our cracks were large enough that the sealant would not render them invisible, and she was correct. You can still see the cracks;however, they are well sealed. Because the weather got quite cold and rainy right after the service, they had to come back a second time and add additional crack filler and sand--which they also did very promptly. We are pleased with the result. This is a local company. Becky has many years of experience, and the scheduling, customer service, and sealing operation are prompt and professional.

I ordered the deal on October 17, 2016. I cannot remember if I called Jake or he called me. Before we met in person over the phone I told him what I wanted. The driveway had patches of moss I wanted to know if the reseal would conceal the moss, I told him there was an oil stain on driveway I wanted the reseal to conceal that, I told him that I had small cracks. He said that he had to look at first. Jake came by to look at October 22, 2016. I am hearing impaired and did not initially hear the door. I went to door and Jake was leaving down the stairs. I called to him. He said that he was measuring the driveway. He was explaining the reseal process, the moss I asked him about he said that he would scrap it. I asked how he would do that he said get on his knees. I asked if he would wear protective padding on his knees. He said no he would not because he was young, I asked about the oil stain cleaning treatment he said it would leave a shadow after the treatment and cleaning, he said that it cost him to buy the treatment product from the manufacturer and that was factored in the cost that he would charge me, he still would not say the cost just wanted to know if I wanted it I said how much is it to which he said $100.00, and the cracks Jake said he would fill them in,the extra costs to me, I asked how much extra many times and each time he hesitated not answering leaving me in the cold suspended waiting to hear the extra cost amount. We were standing in the cold and I did not have my jacket on. I asked him about getting the product on my garage door he said he would not. I said can we go inside to discuss this. Jake came inside sat at my dining room table. Still not willing to tell me the cost he just kept explaining the process to treat the stain and that it would only leave a slight shadow. That it would take years to completely vanish the oil stain. Finally I said please tell me the cost you have not told me the cost yet. At my insistence he said a $100.00. I took what he said at face value and that he was on Angie's list and had gone through a vetting process before being placed, there was no note discouraging me from using this provider on the Angie's list website. I went upstairs and to get my check book. He gave me a paper receipt of what I paid out on October 22, 2016, and spelled the word paid wrong, Jake spelled it "piad". I had to go back up leaving my checkbook on the table to get my appointment book. Oh I forgot he was walking around back and forth in my driveway with a piece of equipment. I asked him what he was doing and he said I am measuring your driveway. After the driveway was measured he said it was 500 () more than the deal called for and it would cost me $125.00. I paid him by check that was later cashed an additional $225.00 on October 22, 2016. Jake came by the next week October 29, 2016, to reseal the driveway. He got here and resealed the driveway. When he was finished he called me to come down. I thought it was because he was finished and wanted me to see his work. He showed me and said I want to help you I am not one of those companies just trying to take your money. He said I could put another reseal coat on there to take away the stain and it would only cost me half of price I had already paid him, which was $374.00, that I had already paid him. The reseal was wet and he pointed out that there was a shadow another coat would take away that shadow mostly where could hardly see it. Again I took him for his word at face value thinking no one comes out to your house from Angie's List and takes advantage of you by pressuring you to buy additional services above the Angie's List Deal if it would not do what they said. I went upstairs and got the $100.00. I went back into the house. During this time I was finishing up coursework for my online college and was busy with this and expected him to do the job without the need for frequent supervision. He called me down when he said that he was completed with the second reseal coat. After I paid him the additional $100.00, I looked out my window that faces the front of my townhouse and I saw him driving down the parking lot away from my driveway. I got distracted with school work and then he called. It seemed like it was no time. I had wondered how the second reseal coat would be accomplished when the first reseal coat was still wet. I did not see and watch him treat the oil stain, I did not watch or see him put the second reseal coat on the driveway. There were several things that I noticed after the time he said was required for the two reseal coats to dry. Also when he said that he was finished he asked me if I had a hose. I did not understand the question. I do not use a hose. I was not sure if I had one because I had not purchased one. I told him I think that one was in the back the previous owners left one I think. He said that is okay. I asked what he needed it for he said that usually after he finishes a job he washes the equipment that he used to reseal the driveway at the client's home. He appeared to be leaving without putting up caution tape so that people would know not to walk on. He said that he was about to do it. He tied a yellow tape to one tree and said that he would not tie it to the other tree across from it because it was not far enough. He said that he would use his bucket that he did not need it and would use the neighbor's driveway to place the bucket to hold the yellow tape. I asked him not to because it was not my yard. He said that he would leave it on the concrete near the street. I was distracted with everything. He left and the next day the bucket had fallen on its side laying down near the street he did not weight the bucket to stay in place. At first when I looked at the finished driveway it seemed okay. The next day I looked at the driveway and the stain was visible to my eye. [I have glaucoma and sometimes colors like black are difficult for me to see]. I waited about two days to look at again and I was not sure. The last time that I looked at it I was sure the stain appeared the same. The only difference was the area surrounding the stain was darker. I noticed on my bottom brick step the product used to reseal driveway was on the step. In the areas close to the sand and dirt and the brick step some areas showed that these areas did not receive treatment. I noticed as well that moss was still there after he said that he would scrap it up. I had specifically asked about the moss because my Homeowners Association Property Manager did inspection and pointed out to me that the moss needed attention. I was to remove the moss in my front yard. I am totally and permanently disabled and cannot always get down on my knees and could not figure out how to comply with the Property Manager request and not potentially aggravate and injure myself at the same in the process of complying. My solution was have it paved. Originally I thought the deal was for a repave of the driveway. I di not know about the reseal of the driveway is done periodically to protect driveway and help to last longer before more costly repave because of a damaged driveway. Jake said it would cost a lot and that doing this about once a year would save me money. Jake said that the two reseal coats meant that I did not have to do a reseal next year that was already taken care of October 29, 2016, when he applied the two reseal coats. He said that I could wait three years before needing to do another reseal coat of the driveway. I called Jake to ask about the brick step and removing the product. Jake did not offer himself to come back and take care of removing the product himself. Jake told me what I could buy and where I could buy it as I said earlier I am hearing impaired and I did not understand what he said and he said just tell them "blank" and they will know what you are talking about. Since I did not know how he was pronouncing the word I could not repeat it to the store personnel. I checked into what happened to me. I was told that he should have been willing to clean it himself because it was not there before he resealed the driveway. The other areas noted I discovered later tha

Since I was concerned with splashing seal coat on my garage door, they suggested I cover the lower part of my garage door with plastic which I did. They arrived at the time as promised, completed the job as described using an oil based sealant and were very professional in their demeanor. I was very pleased with their entire operation.
