We were put at ease about the source of the odor; however, I felt Sirish was extremely unprofessional and I don't ever plan to use the services of his company again. My realtor, home inspector, and we were talking through Sirish's findings with him and he openly lied, saying that he and I "go way back" and that he would call me about more details later -- I think he was trying to give me a "good deal" on other services that the home inspector was uncovering, which seemed unethical to me (he was only there to help me with the odor and was taking advantage of hearing the inspection report to try and get more business). I was extremely put off by his unusual (he was whispering and acted secretive the whole time) and very unprofessional behavior.

This is the second time we've used Allergen Control, and they managed to exceed our already high expectations. Shirish--the owner--came to inspect our mold issue and confirmed that we had a problem. By the next morning, it was fixed. While he was working on our mold remediation, Shirish noted several other problems with our house, including a previously undiscovered termite infestation that, it turned out, was threatening the structural integrity of our garage! He also noted a few issues with our gutters and drainage that were likely contributing the problem. Shirish spent time with us--free of charge--reviewing our options. Mind you, he did not stand to make a dime on any of the other projects! Still, he took the time to help guide us through these projects, telling us how much we should expect to pay and what to tell the other contractors. I unreservedly recommend Allergen Control. Shirish is one of the kindest, most perceptive people you will meet. I trust him completely.

Shirish was great, as usual! He went through the entire house with me and helped me identify potential issues, inside and out. He was very thorough and helped me price out how certain repairs would affect my home value He also came in having done some research into my home value so he knew where to start from. I've worked with him before and each experience has been absolutely fantastic.

Shirish was wonderful! I cannot say enough good things about him and his company. I had chosen him to take care of a mold issue, where a roof leak had caused water to run down my outside kitchen wall and then mold developed on the ceiling, the kitchen wall, and spread to my wall and base cabinets. From the second I met him Shirish was warm and friendly. He not only took a look at the issues at hand (that I knew of), he also discovered other issues both related to the water leak/mold (the problem was more extensive than I had believed) and other issues such as structural quirks with the house and ways to become more energy efficient (he did not charge me for the recommendations). Shirish is a doctoral-level chemical engineer, and his engineering training is useful for identifying structural issues and efficiencies that someone without engineer training would gloss over. He gave me a prompt estimate, which included replacing all of my cabinetry (rather than just the side that was mold-damaged) so that my cabinets would match. The company I ordered the cabinets from made multiple frustrating errors with my order, but Shirish and the contractors who work with him were very patient and came over multiple times to get everything installed correctly. He gave me so much unsolicited advice that was helpful and not related to the project (and therefore free). Another thing I was really impressed with was how classy and concerned Shirish was. He accompanied me to the cabinet store to reorder the cabinets in the correct size (the company had previously ordered all the wall cabinets a foot too tall). He called to see how progress was going on my roof repair (the contractor he recommended for that gave me a ridiculously good deal), and he worked with me to make sure I could get my insurance company to cover as much as possible. Many of these things were off-hours. Lastly, Shirish informed me of his plans to donate some of my cabinetry, sink, and countertops (what is salvageable) to a charity that builds houses for the underprivileged in Eastern Kentucky. Shirish is part of the charity and helps build this houses. I feel great knowing that pieces of my kitchen are going to a great cause. I have had nothing but an absolutely wonderful experience with Shirish and Allergen Control. Every penny was worth it. I highly recommend them for any job where their services are necessary.

Good crew. They were willing to stand behind their work, and sought out my input into it's progress.

Shirish is simply the best. He is a consummate professional--he even has a PhD. in chemical engineering. If you have mold or suspect you hav emold in your home, this is the man to call. We had used Shirish previously to remove some non-toxic mold prior to taking possession of our new home. He impressed us then with his promptness, thoroughness, and professionalism. When we suspected a bigger mold infestation, he was the first call we made. Rather than making an unnecessary and expensive house call, Shirish was able to walk us through a simple diagnostic step-by-step. To our relief, we discovered that our problem was not mold but a faulty garbage disposal. Shirish probably saved us $500.

We were concerned about possible mold in our new home, so we contacted Shirish through our realtor during the inspection process. He was prompt, reasonably priced, and highly professional. Shirish has a PhD in chemical engineering, so he clearly knows his trade. After inspecting the area in question and submitting samples for lab testing, Shirish informed us that we had "garden variety" mildew rather than any dangerous molds. He recommended a safe and inexpensive remediation technique and performed the service himself. I would recommend him without reservation.

We crawled down into the crawlspace together and he informed me that what I'd thought was mold was "cricket poop." He sampled the air and did some tape lift-offs of the stuff, but he was certain there was no mold. Since he stood to gain if he found mold, I found this convincing. He gave me some suggestions on eliminating the stale odor and residual moisture and offered to do the work himself ($2000) or I could do it myself ($0). I paid him at the house. I thought a formal report would be forthcoming, but I never received one.
