Alleviation Pest Control offers complete extermination services to the residents of the Washington, DC metropolitan area. Service areas include Washington, DC and the following Maryland counties: Prince George's, Harford, St. Mary, Baltimore, Montgomery, Calvert, Charles, Anne Arundel, and Howard. We offer termite control to residential and commercial customers and VA and FHA Termite Inspection. Our approach to eradicating pests from your home or business is to focus on both the interior and exterior of your property. We also trap and remove small animals (eg. birds, squirrels and raccoons). Additionally we specialize in odor control and removing ants, roaches, spiders, crickets, mice, rats, bees and wasps, flees, ticks and termites. Yearly contracts are also available upon request.

There was a roach problem in the apartment building. I contacted Alleviation Pest about the problem. They were prompt to assess the problem. Through a series of sprays, due to the huge pest problem, there has been a significant decrease of the pest. I appreciate their promptness, professionalism and effectiveness. As a result, I'd recommend them and would use them again.

Friendly prompt service. The guy came twice the first time he missed an opening that another pest company pointed out. However the problem did not result immediately . He had put mesh on the dryer vent which prevented the rodent from getting in but also clogging up the dryer vent with lint redirecting the moisture into the walls. We were lucky that our house didn't catch fire instead incurred a couple of thousand of damage.

Demetrius arrived on a short notice on Easter Sunday, even ahead of schedule, checked the attic for signs of animals and repaired the screen with holes where the animal was entering through. He was very efficient and he paid great attention to safety regarding to COVID-19. I would highly recommend this company and I would definitely work with them again.

After discovering bed bugs we needed to get a handle on it fast. Demetrius was very helpful in discussing the problem over the phone, and was able to come for an inspection the following day. He showed up right on time, and was generous with his extensive knowledge and experience. He examined everything very closely, found several live bugs in the process, showed us what to look for, and described their patterns and behavior. He discussed with us the pros and cons of the several methods of treatment, including the method Alleviation uses. Armed with this knowledge, we were informed enough to be able to proceed.

Excellent- very knowledgable and and enthusiastic about educating the homeowner. Also focused on prevention and getting to the root causes of the pest problem rather than simply coming in and saturating the house in chemicals. Will work with you on the best approach. The technician came and spotted small holes in the baseboard through which we had thought no rodent could get through. He identified the rodents as an unusual species that could get through the holes, and he stuffed the holes with steel wool. We have had no problems since. Thanks for very prompt and efficient service.

I am eternally grateful for Demetrius and Alleviation Pest Control. I started hearing scratching at my basement door one evening and I couldn’t sleep. I’m grateful for the 24 hour service. I called around 11pm and he was able to come that night. I don’t know what I would’ve done without this company. Finding this number on Angie’s List was heaven sent. Thank you is not enough for the work that was done, but please know , as I mentioned before, that we are grateful.

We started to see evidence of mice and we haven't seen signs of any (except dead ones) since we had service. Also gave lots of good advice about how to keep them out. Will use him again if we ever need pest control services.

Demetrious assessed our situation, discovered all the problems areas and suggested several remedies. Unfortunately, sealing all the oppenings in our house was not an option so he placed bait and traps in the places where it appeared the mice were traveling. After 6 months there were no traces of mice and we had no issues with the smell of dead mice for some odd reason.

We had what we thought was a bird stuck inside one of our walls. We called Alleviation (based on reviews) on a Saturday. Demetrius called right back, came same day and expertly diagnosed the situation. It was a squirrel not a bird! Instead of profiting off of us for preventative things we could do ourselves, he spent time describing what was needing and giving us instructions for completing at a lower cost. A great guy and expert.

Demetrius spent three hours in our house finding all sorts of places mice could get in and blocking and setting traps. We had had another company come out three times prior and still had lots of mice in our kitchen. Demetrius was able to find a bunch of places they hadn't. After he left, we didn't have any issues for almost a year. When we noticed droppings again about 10 months later, I called and he came back out and redid the process. He's been the only one who has helped our rodent problem and his service is top notch.

Demetrius explained the services he provided to both my husband and myself. He went throughout our residence sealing up points of entry, putting down poison in areas that were not accessible to our 4 yr old grandson or our pet Yorkie. To date we have not have not seen any mice or evidence of any. Before Demetrius came I was ready to move out of the house, but now we are so happy and able to live peacefully in our home mice free!!!

Mr. Bryant with Alleviation Pest Control was very responsive to our initial phone call, and arrived as scheduled. As Mr. Bryant noted, once we have seen a mouse, the problem is most likely more than a mouse or two. When the dishwasher was pulled out, this was very apparent due to the amount of droppings and nesting. He explained what he was doing throughout his inspection, and was very thorough. Before he even arrived, he asked that we move out items from all closet floors, on both levels of the home. Even though we had seen no signs on the second floor, he wanted to be thorough and check for any and every possible entry point. Once he determined that this problem is isolated to the kitchen area, he set traps, and installed grids over the areas where it appears the mice have entered (plumbing behind sink and refrigerator). He put poison food pods in the HVAC room (only after confirming absolutely that our little dog cannot get in that area), and in the access area under the house. He also cleaned up mouse droppings! He said that there was no sense in spending more money for him to come out any sooner than the fall (when mice will be ready to come back indoors). Since we already had the funds appropriated, we prepaid for the follow up visit because we liked the work that he did. the cost of service shown is for both visits, including tax.

If I could give negative stars for this company I would because the, agreed upon, job was paid for in full and not completed. UNFORTUNATELY, this pest control company was recommended to me by a close friend so I failed to vet them as I typically would have done. I contacted Socrates Demetrius Bryant, owner of Alleviation Pest Control (who is also not the "model," guy featured in the above profile picture!!) for a consultation/assessment of my rental property. It turns out that the property was infested with bed bugs. Socrates confirmed the presence of bed bugs and his professional recommendation was that he could resolve the situation with two treatments. He quoted me a price of $200.00 and would complete a follow-up treatment for $75.00. In good faith I paid him the total cost and he initiated the first treatment that day. He claimed to use a rare chemical that would rid my house of bed bugs by the second treatment using a larger aerosol device. After the initial treatment he never returned for the follow up visit, he did not return my phone calls nor voicemail messages, after sending him a text message he later responded with upcharges, increased fees for miscellaneous services. Buyer beware when dealing with Alleviation Pest Control!!!!!

We liked this company from the start because they gave us an appointment instead of a window time. Demetrius was punctual, knowledgeable, and efficient. He gave us advice on things we could do in our home to prevent rodents from getting into the living area. He filled holes and put down traps that have worked.
