The inspector, Terrence Miller realizing the urgency of this matter came the next day and took photos and tested the three layers of the garage roof for asbestos. He charged me for the inspection, lab testing of three layers and a filing fee . I was given documentation of results as well as lab testing and a ACP5 control number. Everything went smoothly and he even provided me with some great enlarged photos of the garage I needed to show to demolition contractors who asked me to email them photos of the garage. I highly recommend this Asbestos Inspector since he is a professional and is reliable and gets the job done at a reasonable price! It cost $675.00

This company was one of three given to me by my contractor, after I found out I needed an asbestos inspection. Richard Murdison is the main person and his assistant, Nicole were very helpful and informative. They sent the inspector within a week and were very efficient. Their price was fair (I got three estimates).
My contractor didn't want to steer me to any of the companies they recommended, so I called all of them myself. Comparing notes with my contractor afterwards, the prices from the other companies were different. I was quoted a higher price.
Interesting.
This is another reason why I signed up with Angie's List. Since Sandy, we have seen the best in people and the worst.

Dan and Harry of Allied Asbestos inspected the house that I am in the process of purchasing for suspect asbestos pipe lagging in the basement. They identified the issues and gave me the approximate linear feet that needed to be removed. They sent me an email the same day with all of the information that I needed to get an asbestos removal company in to give me a quote. They even gave me three great references for companies that they knew could handle the job on my tight time schedule. They showed up on time and delivered every step of the way. After the asbestos was removed, they showed up again to confirm that there was no longer any asbestos. I wish all home inspectors/contractors were as responsible as these guys.
