Allied Drywall

I am in the process of finishing my basement. I did all the framing myself and hung the drywall myself. I'm not a professional, but I have done it before, so it wasn't a terribly shoddy job.  <br /> Eric did a great job covering my hanging mistakes and even cleaned up a mess that wasn't his when he was finished.  <br /> He was very courteous and behaved professionally. The job took about 20 hours over 3 days, I let him borrow my garage door opener so he could come and go because I wasn't going to be home the entire time.  <br /> I would recommend Allied Drywall for jobs big or small. <br />

He was on tn time, he cleans up really well after himself and is doing a great job!

I am remoldeling a house and it had the popcorn ceiling, I scraped it all myself and Don come in and stomped it all plus fixing the edges where it needed. I also hung drywall myself in the basement (lets say it wasnt professional looking) but Don didnt complain, he went in and fixed all my mistakes and stomped that ceiling as well. Don was very good to work with. He always answered his phone or text. He showed up on time with a crew to perform the work. Will use again in the future. <br />

Did a good job.  Very efficient.  This is a multi-visit type of thing and they were very attentive.  Cleaned up after themselves. <br />

Don and his son, Eric, came in and took out the drywall in one day.  After MasterDry finished they came back in promptly and repaired the walls to perfection.  They even repaired a flawed area of drywall over the circuit box that had nothing to do with this job but the shoddy work done by someone else was obviously bothering them enough to fix it. They pay attention to detail.  Afterwards, I asked if they would replace three drop ceilings in the same area.  They are very efficient workers and cleaned up great.  I was very pleased with how it turned out.  Don't waste your time calling anyone else!  Don and Eric are your guys for drywall! <br />

Don came by to give look at our spaces within a few hours of contacting him the first time.  He called us back later that day with the estimate.  Once we told him we were ready to go, he was here the next day delivering the drywall and the jobs were completed within a timely manner.  We never had to call wondering when they were going to be here or what was going on.  When the job was complete, he made sure everything was cleaned up.  Don and his employees were professional and courteous and did a great job.  We are very pleased with the job that they did and would definitely use them again. <br />

Allied was the lowest price of three bidders.  The completed job was well done.  If the rating could be split among the hanging crew and the finishing crew, I'd give the finishing crew (which includes Don) an A and the hanging crew a C.  I gave lower marks for responsiveness and professionalism because of the hanging crew. The hanging crew didn't pick up their scraps even though we had a dumpster in the yard -- it took us over an hour to finish their job. When we told Don, he pretty much shrugged this off. When the finishing crew was done, we held back 10% of the pay until after priming in case imperfections were revealed with priming.  Everything looked very good except during priming we realized that the hanging crew had covered up two outlets.  Don came back and fixed their mistakes -- Don's a decent guy, and I'm pretty sure he'd have come back even if we hadn't held the 10%.  I'd definitely use Allied again because Don really is a very good finisher, but I'd watch the hanging crew closer and let them know that scrap clean up is expected. <br />

They did a really good job. They're a father and son. They came out and tore down in one day. They almost had it back up the other day so they were very efficient and a good team.They did a really good job all around. They're coming back out to do my ceiling.

I had 2rooms and a closet all covered with drywall. The rooms were a porch and we boxed in to make larger rooms. I was worried because our house is 80 years old and nothing is squared or straight. They came in to a completely crooked mess. I was totally shocked that when finished it looked like the rooms had never had a flaw. They were perfect. I would have never believed they could fix and make beautiful the mess we had. Soooooo thankful I called them. It looks like I spent a fortune on carpenters, drywall, etc. when the carpentery wasn't the greatest because it was all done by us and family that are not carpenters and they made it look perfect and cleaned up everything they put in the floor. I am proud of my new rooms only because of them. <br />

Allied Drywall was the top rated company on Angie's List in this area with numerous positive reviews, so I contacted them for a quotation.  Don Schmoltz came over the next day, surveyed the job, and provided a fair price on the spot, which I accepted.  Within a few days the hanging crew came over and completed their work within less than a day.  The very next day Don and Kevin came in and completed the initial taping and mudding, left it to dry for a few more days, then finished the job with one round of sanding and mudding, and one round of sanding.  Their work was excellent, with all joints, nail heads, and screw heads finished properly and very smoothly, ready for priming, and with all cutouts clean and proper.  I would certainly hire them again for our next round of remodeling in another year or two.

Their pricing was extremely reasonable when compared with other contractors.  They were very responsive.  There were times he said he was going to be here and I told him if he was coming to please call to be sure I was going to be home and he did, and then he didn’t show up and that was very frustrating.  I would use them again in the future if I needed to.

I was very impressed with the work ethics of all of these gentlemen. They worked constantly to finish the job and did not spend a lot of time taking breaks.  I would hire them again if I needed any drywall work. done.  If your reading my review, I would tell you that this team has an excellent reputation and you will be very pleased with the skill and the finished product.

He was very professional. He replaced the drywall, finished it, sanded it, then matched the texture of the rest of the ceiling. I would definately recommend Allied Drywall for any of your drywall needs.

Called and they came out within 24 hours. Allied Drywall Rep/Technician Wesley listen to what the homeowner wanted to achieve. Wesley educated and explained in detail what would need to be done to get from point A to point B. A competent handyman bid the job just prior to Allied Drywall. The handyman was cheaper on his estimate. The handyman would have taken longer and lack basic equipment and crucial materials needed to do the job right. Allied had all the right tools and used the correct joint tape! A professional like Wesley has invested made an investment in his tools and craft. Which is why they were the experts and the first choice. Bottom Line: You get what you pay for. Everyones eyes tend to go to imperfections in a rooms finish. By doing it right, which means hiring a Professional 8-) our eyes can focus on the other items in the room.
