They were running late that day but kept in touch with us so we knew when to expect them. Very much appreciated. They showed up that evening and got to work. They're fast, efficient and very easy to work with. I requested that they load the fridge and freezer last so it wouldn't take long to cool everything back down and they respected my request instead of doing it their way. It took them about 3 hours from beginning to end. The boys do know how to hustle and their good at it.

They gave me an estimate of $1,000. During the move, one of my televisions was ruined, as it was working at the previous home. There boxes labeled food, they did not move them until later and everything was spoiled. When I reached out to him to inquire about liability insurance, he claimed that I only had (5) days to make any claims. They then claimed the price was going to be $1,500 for having to box items, though a majority of my belongings were already boxed up. He is a scam artist.

"The estimate of $1,000 was given under the knowledge that the home would be fully packed by the customer. When the crew arrived, they found about 50 boxes or so packed. The house was rundown with pets. They had two neighbors over that were still packing the 3 bedrooms and kitchen. Also, on the delivery, we were not asked to unpack any boxes. During the move his wife went into a seizure. The ambulance showed up and everything was fine later but I go on to say that these are conditions the crew had to work around. We had just received a call from this customer yesterday, who we moved on August 15th, about a broken television and a box of spoiled food. Being how it is so far out from the date of the move (over 2 months), we would not reimburse him. Further more, there was no actual physical damage to the television and we do not make ourselves liable for internal workings of an article, for we do not know if it ever worked in the first place. He then began to say threatening things such as "I'm going to take you to small claims court and I always win!" The crew can all verify that he was on the phone being irate with other services from other companies during the move. We are appalled by all of this for we even offered to pick up his wife from the hospital, when she was to be released the next day, and drive her to him free of charge. He moved an hour away from his original home and is an older gentleman. This all being said, if a claim was made within two weeks that would have been understandable. He waited over two months to report anything. Nothing was damaged and we feel this is one of those customers that tries to extort companies for financial gain. We do apologize about this review. This does not reflect our standard in business. If you have any further questions or inquiries about this move feel free to call us. We have his signed contract of him fully knowing that he would have had to make a damage claim within 5 days after the move. We also have an additional signature that the move was completed in satisfactory condition. Our client was happy at the end of the move and showed no signs of hostility towards us. We also had a 4 man crew there at one point, for two hours, that we only charged him a 3 man crew rate for. There was just so many lose items that were really slowing down the process. The move would not have gone over $900 had everything been ready. This client did not find us on angieslist. They found us in a local paper that is notorious, by other moving companies, for bringing customers that are not so reputable. After this customer started yelling statements of extortion within 30 seconds of calling us, we knew what this was all about. It is obvious to us that this customer is not being honest because he can not dispute punctuality and responsiveness."

This event was the second time I have used Allow Us Moving. We bought a new house before even putting the old house on the market. The first step was de-cluttering. Allow Us moved all of the boxes from our basement, some small furniture, plus a lot of other boxes that we had packed to de-clutter the house. In four hours they loaded the truck, mostly from our basement, took it to a storage locker facility and loaded the boxes, etc into two different storage units. We also had them move two shelving units from our basement into the storage locker. When we were at the house, <br /> Two things stick out in my mind: <br /> First, I made a comment that it would be nice to keep all the Christmas stuff together and to load it onto the shelves they were moving. I didn't event think about that again until we were at the storage locker and almost finished unloading. I mentioned it, and one of the guys said - I paid attention, it's all done. I went in the locker and all of the Christmas stuff - not even all labeled - was on the shelves. <br /> Second, they were very protective of my wood floors and the condition of the wood stairs from the basement to the first floor. They covered everything with blankets and instead of pulling dollies full of boxes up the stairs, they lifted them up so the stairs wouldn't be damaged. <br /> This first move was on one of Kansas City's hottest days. <br /> So the second move was really smooth. Furniture, boxes from old house to new house. Tim and his helper pulled everything we wanted moved into the garage, and then did an amazing job of organizing it into the truck. They paid special attention and took extra care with my antique items. The move was smooth and fast. <br /> Tim will tell you in advance what size crew he needs and prices accordingly. I knew in advance the hourly rate and there were no surprises. He "clocked-in" and "clocked-out" with me so we agreed on the hours spent. <br />

I contacted Allow Us Movers via email and got a call back the next day. After explaining what I needed the price quoted was $240. They called the day before to confirm. They were running a little late and called to let me know. They arrived within about 15 minutes of the original time we had set. The guys introduced themselves and got right to work. I had to leave so I left the movers with my Dad. My daughter called a little bit later to say the movers had arrived at her apartment and everything was moved in and the bed and dresser with mirror were put together again. She was pleased and said the guys did a great job. My dad called me later that evening to tell me what a great job the guys did. I was very happy that it all went so well.

The guys did a great job! They finished ahead of schedule and everything but a lamp that was on it's last legs arrived in the exact condition it was packed in. They showed up on time, we went through the house and went over what needed to be moved and where it needed to go. Everything got packed carefully, delivered to the new house, and unpacked or placed in the correct room. They were even able to get a swingset and an extra entertainment center we had planned on getting rid of. They also had great clothes hanger boxes that allowed us to keep the clothes in the closet and they were placed in the new closet in the same order. Overall a very stress free move. <br />

Tim and his two man crew were very careful wrapping and boxing everything and were especially careful with my fragile items. <br /> I do a lot of computer work and have several monitors and computers. <br /> They made sure everything was packed neatly and safely in the boxes they supplied. <br /> Last time I moved I hired two people who didn?t know the difference between a monitor from a bowling ball. <br /> I saw one mover toss a monitor onto a pile of other equipment (leaving a big scratch on the monitor). <br /> I was trying to save a little money by trying to do it myself with the two people I hired. It turned out I spent about the same as I <br /> paid ?Allow Us? and with ?Allow Us? everything was professionally done. They were fast, careful, and made my move as <br /> painless as possible. It is always a very difficult thing to do (moving). Believe me, I know. Tim and his crew took their time wrapping things up and tied thing down. I was amazed at how they stacked things strategically into the truck. (learned a few things) I was extremely happy when they left to not find one scratch on my furniture or the walls, they even had to take very heavy furniture up winding stairs. The weather didn't slow them down. I tried to mark the boxes with what room to put in but the few i didnt get to they graciously moved them twice. Good team!! I have actually used them twice and would highly recommend them to you and all my friends. <br />

Tim and his team did a fantastic job unloading our moving truck for us. We recently moved from out-of-state and needed help unloading the 16-foot rental truck we had loaded ourselves. I called Tim (owner) and he was able to accommodate us with only a few days notice for a couple hours of help over the weekend. He arrived on-time with one of his employees and was fully prepared with all the necessary tools to safely unload us (movers rubber bands, hand truck, doorway guards, etc.). They moved the entire contents of the truck into our home very quickly and carefully, and were thoughtful in how they handled/maneuvered our belongings. We would highly recommend them and plan to use them when we move again. <br /> <br />

The owner Tim was very professional and got back to me right away. He handled all my things with care.. I was impressed when he spent the time to wrap all my furniture with blankets and pack them securely in the truck for the move.. There is a lot of moving companies out there, but I wouldn't trust my belongings with anyone else! I hope I don't have to move again anytime soon, but when I do, I will definitely use them again! <br />
