First, just avoid Allstate Moving, LLC at all costs. And if you don’t want to read all of this I put together a 5 minute summary video about our experience with Allstate Moving, LLC. Please do a youtube or google video search for "Allstate Moving LLC" and it should be near the top. The following is a thorough, fair and completely accurate account of our experience with Allstate Moving, LLC. They were hired to transport 43 items from Connecticut to New Hampshire on 12/5/20 and deliver them on 12/6/20. On 11/18/20 I provide a detailed excel spreadsheet of all items we needed transported to Allstate Moving, LLC. This spreadsheet clearly showed each item name, measured sizes, cubic feet and any special notes regarding transporting the item. That day we received a quote from “Brandon” at Allstate Moving, LLC. The total estimate was $2944.76. This estimate included moving an exercise bike and a 17cf upright freezer. On 12/2/20 we provided an updated inventory list to Allstate Moving, LLC, removing several items and dramatically lowering the total cubic feet of items to be moved. $3.25 per cubic foot is the measure they use to charge for moving – not gross weight. I spoke with “Natalie” from Allstate Moving, LLC that evening and she advised an updated quote and inventory list would be sent and a new signature digitally collected. None of that ever happened. On 12/5/20 three Allstate Moving, LLC employees in a 26’ Enterprise rental truck showed up 5 hours late. They had no inventory list – they didn’t even have the correct street address and had to call me for it. All they knew was the original quoted price from 11/18/20. They knew nothing about an updated inventory list or adjusted lowered pricing because of the changes I had submitted. Early on the foreman attempted to charge us a $75 “outdoor stairs fee” because there are a total of 8 steps, including the threshold, to get into the house and they only accept 7 steps. For illustration there are an initial set of three steps at the driveway, another two about eight feet in, another two about five feet past that then the threshold. I told them fine use the garage door which would be way harder to maneuver but only had three steps. They conceded. This policy is also something not mentioned by the company or listed on the estimate. With Allstate Moving, LLC be prepared for some outrageous packing material and labor prices not included in your quote. For a very short roll of the cheapest tape they can find expect to pay $4 each (the foreman somehow knew they needed exactly 17 rolls for this move). For bubble wrap expect to pay $5 per foot then $8 to pack and then $8 to unpack. Toss in $15 for shrink wrap then $10 to actually wrap something then another $10 to unwrap. Shortly after beginning the moving process the foreman added two “bulk” fees onto the price. The exercise bike added $150 and the upright freezer added $75. The foreman said it was because “some items are larger than originally estimated”. As mentioned earlier, Allstate Moving KNEW these items were to be transported – even knew their exact dimensions - yet did not put these “bulk” fees in their estimate. One item that was being transported was a Techcraft TV console bought four years earlier for $370. They charged $52 to transport this. Another item was a Bush Furniture computer desk w/hutch. Which they charged $123.50 to transport. During transportation Allstate Moving, LLC movers failed to properly secure the 17ct upright freezer and it became loose. It toppled over and thoroughly destroyed both the TV console and the computer desk. I mean actually tore them in half. The both were smashed beyond use or repair. The freezer, fortunately still functions but one side has been brutally marred and damaged. The life expectancy of the freezer could very well have been shortened by this display of incompetence. The movers made notes on their paperwork of the destruction. They told me their ‘manager’ would be contacting me ‘in about a week’ but they couldn’t give us his name or info because ‘he doesn’t like being bothered with work on the weekends.’ During the move-in process we found a wood accessory table that had been my grandmothers and our wood coffee table had been well marred and chipped heavily during transport. They did not list this as damaged saying it was easy to cover up and repair. As they were bringing in a rolling chair they forgot to put a wheel on one leg. They put that chair down on hardwood flooring and tried to roll it. The leg without a wheel had a metal base for the wheel to sit in, and that base literally gouged a chunk of our dining room hardwood flooring away. This was right in front of us and the foreman told it would be easy to fix. However, Allstate Moving, LLC did not just damage the new house. At the original home they managed to cut and scratch up our wood molding outside and inside two different bedrooms and the stair railing. They also managed to puncture multiple walls in both houses – though nothing so serious I could not repair. When Allstate Moving, LLC was done with the move they carelessly left dozens of broken furniture pieces scattered across our driveway. These remains were from the two pieces of furniture they carelessly destroyed. Included were some pieces of wood, nails, screws, plastic support pieces, metal locking nuts, metal shelf supports – all were just sitting there in the driveway. These items could have easily punctured a tire. We discovered a couple of days after they left that Allstate Movers, LLC had damaged a solid wood dresser and attempted to hide it from us. We also eventually found they had over torqued the re-assembly of our Amish-made king sized wood bed. Eventually three of the screw heads popped off and the rest of the lag screws warped, leading to stress that actually cracked a cast iron support piece that needed to be replaced. Ultimately we paid $52 to ship a $370 TV console and $123 to ship a $400 computer desk that were both totally destroyed by Allstate Movers, LLC. We paid $225 in surprise “bulk fees” for items the movers knew were to be moved AND had the exact dimensions for before stepping in our house. We attempted to contact Allstate Moving, LLC regarding these issues. From 12/8-12/11/20 we sent multiple emails to sales rep “Brandon” (who we never heard from again) and “Customer Service.” We sent at least five communications through their company website. Finally we were contacted by “Brittany” on 12/15/20. She advised they don’t handle claims themselves and outsource to a company known as “Movingclaims.net.” We filed a claim with “Movingclaims.net” on 12/15/20 and received an acknowledgment of this claim that day. Five weeks later, we had not heard anything so I followed up. At that time Movingclaims.net said they had no record of our case being filed. Now Movingclaims.net is hired by moving companies. They are paid $500 per month for every 20 claims they handle. Part of their sales pitch is to “negotiate with your customers before and after a settlement to avoid possible lawsuits and consumer agency complaints (BBB, DOT, Attorney General, Consumer Protection agencies, etc.). This is our most important and time-consuming of our services – we help protect your company from legal procedures and consumer agency investigations.” Movingclaims.net purposely makes the claims process as painful and difficult as possible for the claimant. One requirement is that all documents need to be submitted front and back in one large file. Not a zip file, but a single continuous document. Another requirement is that all photos need to have your name and damage description on them. And then those photos also need to be complied into one single continuous large document. For a senior citizen or someone with limited access to a computer these are grossly unfair demands. On 2/3/21 we received a “missing valuable information” notice from Movingclaims.net. They say certain documentation was not received. We most certainly HAD sent this and everything the movers provided us to them. Yet you cannot ame

This was the absolute worst moving company that I've dealt with in 75 years. I used movers associated with the military over the years and never had so many items lost, stolen or damaged. I contracted this company to move my household belongings in April 2019. The team that came to my home and wrapped, packed and stacked my goods in their truck in a professional manner. The truck was loaded so that nothing packed inside would move or shift during the move. The trouble started 6 days laterwhen a separate group of men arrived at my destination and began to remove my goods from the truck. When the back door to the truck was opened, it was obvious that the items had been repacked because the truck had extra room inside and items were thrown haphazardly around. The men weren't comfortable with the weather they encountered and were in a hurry to get the job done and get out. Damages included: the feet to the la-z-boy love seat were missing; the feet to the new buffet purchased in June 2019 were missing along with the leg stretcher on one of the matching arm chairs was broken off and missing and the top to the buffet as scratched and gouged; the silverware armoire had been tipped over because all the silverware was repacked in the first two drawers, had pieces missing, the top was scratched and the screws that attached the legs to the base were missing; my 9-drawer dresser was scratched; the glass and wood tv stand was completely destroyed; the oak 2-drawer file cabinet was dropped and completely destroyed; an antique 3-leg occasional table was destroyed with the legs completely broken off; a 2-drawer oak cabinet had the handle broken off; the rivets on the Dyna-Glo BBQ were broken off on both side tablesmaking them unusable; a Roseville urn was shattered along with a pottery tray; several metal quilting storage units had the shelve brackets broken off; the handle on a large electric griddle was broken off; a tower heater/fan and a floor fan had both bases broken off; the switch on a 3-bulb quilting lamp had the switch broken making it unusable; and finally, a box containing the foot pedal, sewing machine accessories and knee lift to my new Janome sewing machine purchased in June 2019 for $4600 was missing along with irons, pins, scissors, thread, quilting material and quilts. This box was never recovered. I still thank God that I carried all my electronic TV's, sewing machines, sound systems etc, in my vehicle instead of letting this company take control of them. When the men got ready to leave, they attempted to give me a large ornate dresser mirror and a large desk chair. I informed them that those pieces weren't mine and they put them back into the truck. I don't know if those items were ever delivered to the appropriate owner, but based on my experience with this company, I doubt it. In their haste to leave my site, they left behind two large expensive handtrucks. If I had known what I know now, I never would have given these back. When I contracted with this company, I tried to check out reviews online. Obviously I didn't do a good enough job. In my haste I took out the minimum insurance offered. Shame on me. When I submitted my claim for reimbursement on the loss and damages, they offered me a total of $86. Geeze, the cost to replace the feet on the love-seat was over $50. SHAME ON THEM. Attempts to resolve this issue with both the company rep, customer service, or the claims department have been met with disdain and dismissal. Phone calls, texts, and emails have been ignored. Would I ever use this company again. NO. Would I recommend anyone needing a moving company to use them. ABSOLUTELY NO.

This was the WORST move I have ever hired out. I'm over 74 and have moved many times with the military, but never have I had goods lost, damaged or stolen. Unfortunately, I took the lowest insurance they provided because they had such good reviews. Shame on me The men arrived on time on the day scheduled for the pickup. They were very professional and wrapped, stacked and packed my goods in their truck so that there would be minimal shifting during the move. However, when a second group of men arrived at my new destination, that's where the fun ended. The truck had obviously been repacked because when they opened the back of the truck, my goods were haphazardly strewn in the truck. A glass TV stand was destroyed, an antique 3-leg occasional table was destroyed with legs broken off, my 4-drawer silverware armoire was opened and silverware was repacked into the first two drawers and ended up having multiple pieces missing along with the screws used to attach the legs to the body of the chest, my new buffet was gouged and scratched, the armchair that goes with the matching buffet and dining table had a leg stretcher broken off, my 2-drawer oak file cabinet was dropped and destroyed, the feet to my buffet and La-Z-Boy love seat were missing, two metal storage units were broken, my new IKEA standing lamp had a broken internal switch making it unuseable, my tower heater and remote controlled floor fan had their bases completely broken off making them unuseable, my Charbroil BBQ had both side tables broken, and to top it off, the box containing the foot pedal and accessories to my new Janome $4000 sewing machine was missing (along with quilting scissors, rulers, material and quilts). This box was never recovered. After they were through with my goods, they even unloaded a large desk chair and ornate dresser mirror that didn't belong to me. Of course, I sent those back on the truck and hope that the owner finally received them. These two men were in such a hurry to leave that they forgot their large, expensive handtrucks. Had I known that they weren't going to compensate me for my losses, I would have sold them instead of giving them back. Again, shame on me. I submitted a claim against this company to recover damages but much to my surprise, they only offerred me a total of $86.00. Attempts to resolve this discrepancy have been met with total dismissal. Geez, the feet to the love seat cost me over $50. And just to replace the accessories to my sewing machine are over $250, and that's not counting the material and quilts. If I could rate this company lower than an F, I certainly would. In my humble opinion, I would definitely advise people considering a move to pass them by.

BEWARE. DO NOT use Interstate Moving Company or any of its affiliated companies it goes by. I hired Interstate Moving company through Angie’s List. Men showed up wearing Best American t-shirts and paperwork with my moving information from AllState Moving. At that time, I had to proceed with the move even though the different company names did not make sense and made me uncomfortable. 1. As a warning, DO NOT have any dealings with someone named ED. He was rude, condescending and downright MEAN. DO NOT ask him any thoughtful or inquiring questions or he will rip your head off and ask “Are you a mover?” “I have been doing this for years and I know what I am doing” . I was able to speak to a David, Rob, Dylan and Mike who answered my questions with kindness. 2. I was given a bid of $2900. Updated inventory just 2 days before the move. Box count/size, plus I measured all of my furniture pieces. The guys loaded the truck and then I was told it would be $800 more. What was I to do? They had all my stuff. Paid 3. The foreman asked “Do you think my guys did a good job? Would you consider compensating them?” What was I to do?, they had my stuff. There went another $100. The guys that packed my stuff did do a good job and worked hard. 4. They came on Sunday, July 12th and I was told it would be delivered on July 15th. By July 23rd, I still did not have my belongings or a date when it will be delivered. I moved from Santa Rosa, CA to Ridgefield, WA and my stuff was sitting in Sacramento, CA when I was finally able to reach someone at the company. It was never disclosed that my stuff was not coming directly to my new place in WA. WHY the stop in Sacramento and the long delay? 5. Per Ed once I got a hold of him, said I asked too many questions and he considered that to be rude. Told me I would not get my stuff back. He also stated he was going to dump my stuff back where it was picked up from. He then threatened to take my move to arbitration and it would take up to 6 months to get my stuff back and about 20,000 dollars in fees. I was SCARED. He LAUGHED at me. 6. I am a 63 year old woman sleeping on the floor because the moving company was holding ALL of my stuff hostage. I really felt like I was targeted and taken advantage of because of my age. I am thankful I had a friend who had my back and was here to help me. With her help, I finally received my belongings on July 28th. That was now almost 2 weeks after I was told I would have it. Two weeks of not knowing where my stuff was, threat after threat from Ed and almost $1000 more in cost and was very stressful and made for a very unpleasant experience. 7. It was a good bid and price to begin with but the additional fees and a feeling like it was required to tip the movers - TRUST ME …..YOU CAN NOT AFFORD TO GO WITH THIS COMPANY IN ANY WAY

Where to begin?......Very unprofessional. Ed quoted us what was said to be a "high quote", so that we get money back verses owing money in the end...But, oh no I was charged over $800 the agreement. I paid for 48 boxes but only had 38. My brand new dresser ($1000 bought 4/20) is ruined, along with one night stand, along with several items broken, mirror, paddle board, etc. Boxes were smashed that stated "fragile" among other issues, including the delivery guys arguing and complaining its too hot and to turn up the AC and stating that they better get a good "tip" for going upstairs (which are included!)..... we have tried for weeks to get answers and no one will respond. In fact when I finally got Ed on the phone he assured me a check was in the mail and then he hung up on me and I have not received any claim check or return call. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY, Ed is a salesman and Sara and Natalie are useless. We have contacted All State moving to try and resolve these issues more then 20 times, I have left messages, if we do get a live person (usually Sara) you get the run around.....and never an answer, Oh and not to mention they said they would mount my TV's and put the furniture together.... JOKE!!! My dresser now has no legs and my night stands live in the closet and the bed is missing feet and is in the wrong place..... Natalie said they will come fix it as I am unable to move these large items.... They never showed up to fix ANYTHING! Because Ed refused to pay $100 to do as they were contracted to do. Again stay away from ALL STATE MOVERS LLC!!!!

It was good until they provide the service. From quotes to communication was good. We paid for them to professionally pack all our items. They did not professionally packed everything.. A lot of things was not packed correctly. We pay for them to pack the Items. I had disputed the cost with the credit card company.I'm being harass from the company by text messages. And now they're file a claim with the credit bureau , that I did not paid for services.I did paid for the service. But the bid for the total moved cost. We paid 16000 for the move. I disputed 2000 of the cost of the moved. Because of the professional packing services were 2000. I thought this was reasonable.
