The work went very well; they were timely and even stayed over for no charge to finish up the job; this was 8 hours of handyman work and I was very impressed with Ramey's follow thru and commitment to customer service. When I called Ramey, he gladly came & provided service, & I'm completely satisfied with the work, and highly recommend this company for handyman works.

Ramey Collins came to do the concept and design consultation. I explained that I was restoring a 100 year old house. We went over what I wanted including the amount of tiling needed, which is most of the bathroom. I received a start date but heard nothing from him until the day they started. Prior to starting the job, I ordered all the material for the bathroom remodel except for tile and construction needs. Ramey never told me where to go to pick out tile until a week after the job had started. When I went to pick out the tile, I discovered that the trim I wanted in the color I chose was a custom order that would take 6 weeks to make. All work was halted. I have sat here with a gutted bathroom while 4 people are sharing our other bathroom. When the tile arrived, I called Ramey 3 times. It has been over a week and he has not had the courtesy to call me back with a start date and time. I am ready to fire him and get another contractor. I never received the computer generated design i paid for in the first place.

Response from Alpha & Omega Construction
"When I first talked to the customer and she told me what she wanted, I informed her that the work she wanted would exceed the 32 hour Big Deal she had purchased. She told me to then just concentrate on getting the tile shower complete because she did not want to pay the extra hourly rate above and beyond the 32 hours, at that time. The tile shower walls and floor was completed and ended up taking us 34 hours, she was not charged for the additional 2 hours. The two holes she speaks about are for the plumbing to be installed. About a week later she called me asking if I would send Tom out to finish the rest of the bathroom remodel and she was wiling to pay the hourly rate. I informed her that I was booked solid to the end of April and heading to Colorado, May 1st thru the end of June, to build a barn. She had guests coming and was disappointed that we could not come and do additional work over the 32 hour Big Deal. All hours were completed and she was happy when we left. I understand her bathroom remodel is only 75% completed however, we completed 100% of the of the 32 hour Big Deal. This is what was agreed upon between the customer and myself."

They did fine. There was a little bit of a delay in getting the service scheduled. I would use them again if I had the need.

* I bought a Big Deal for $759 and had to pay the salestax directly to the crew lead, which was unexpected.
* I had planned enough work for 2 workers which is what the contract stated. Three people showed up, so at the end of the day we had them all doing yardwork, rather expensive at $47+/ hour considering you can hire yardwork for $15/ hr. My online materials order will all have arrived by the time they return in a week for the 2nd Big Deal, which I purchased for $749, ten dollars less than the first one.
* All three workers were roofers with rudimentary skills in interior finish work but they were friendly, cooperative, polite and willing. One of the workers had noticeable body odor, including his clothes. They may have been dispatched to my job because the owner was trying to keep them busy in during a work slowdown. I had to spend more time than I should have had to, discussing how to do things. There were many things in common use today (methods and materials) with which they weren't familiar, so I couldn't "talk shop" with them. They brought no supplies and very few tools, not even a few screws and a putty knife. They should have had the training and tools for the job they were doing. I think for some of them it was the first time they had done the work items.
* One of the workers punctured my brand new kitchen vinyl. It was laid out on a plush carpet, so It could warm up and lay flat. He should have rolled it up before working in that area. His stepstool had a leg without a rubber cap. He put the stool on the vinyl and climbed on it to install an overhead light fixture. He was very apologetic and I kept calm.
* I asked the crew lead if he would be willing to pay for new vinyl and pick it up. He said yes. We needed a toilet wax ring so I needed to go to Lowe's. I told the crew lead I'd pick up another piece of the kitchen vinyl as long as I was going to be there anyway. He called the owner who agreed to pay for the vinyl. To make up for the disappointment of having my vinyl ruined and having to get more, I asked the owner if he could pick up a large deck beam which I need for next week's job and he reluctantly agreed. It's about 15 minutes from my home
* At 2pm, the lead announced that they were finished for the day. After a few minutes of figuring, we realized that they should actually work until 3:30.
*I had a list of questions which I was going to get their input, but I realized they probably wouldn't know. I will call the owner this week to se if it's feasible for them to do the rest of my job next week, or if I should just cancel it and get a refund.

Had to call A&O Construction to fix what another roofing contractor did incorrectly when installing my roof. I was not happy to pay for something that should have been done right in the first place! But Alpha & Omega were great to work with and that helped. They explained what the issues were and went above and beyond to make it right and excellent. I'm about to hire them again for another project.

The contractor arrived with two other workers. One mostly stood around as light fixtures were moved and towel rack was installed. The worker who installed the towel rack broke the old antique rack and did not inform me he had broken it. I called the office and told the person answering the phone I had concerns about being charged for 3 workers when there was not that much to do and the towel rack was broken. She stated she understood and told me they had let that worker go and my hours used would be reduced. The woman said she was the contractors mother.

The next day he returned with three more crew who worked on the porch while he completed the interior work and then joined his crew outside to complete porch project. I then wrote a check for 2,000.00dollars. I asked him how many hours he charged me from the first day and the cost of materials. He stated he would email his bill but wanted to be paid that day. I never received a bill with the breakdown. I called texted and emailed about 12 times and never received the bill the phone to the office was no longer in service and his mailbox was full.

He completed the work 1/11 or 1/12.

He was to return and prime the siding he replaced and to lower chandelier he hung. I have never heard from him.
They put in a vent in the bathroom ceiling and replaced the vent over my kitchen stove. There was a problem with the vent that I bought from home depot and they came back out to see what the problem was. They were able to figure it out and fix it. They showed up right on time and cleaned up well. I would use them again.
