We ONLY do appliance REPAIRS (NO INSTALLATIONS), and repairing your appliances is not a luxury, it's necessity. Al's Appliance Repairs specializes in residential appliance repair for the surrounding areas of Everett, Massachusetts. The service we provide is critical for the health and safety of your family. Therefore, we have found ways to conduct business and take precautions to slow the spread of the virus. Like many, we have eliminated handshakes. We let customers know ahead of time the precautions we are taking. We are aware that sanitization is more important than ever. Our washing machine was not draining well. I set out a request via Angi's and Al responded the same day. He can that very day and spent 3 hours diagnosing and replacing our drain motor. Washing machine is working fine. We are very pleased with the work.

Al came through for me when, maybe six others skipped the appointment. He arrived on time, diagnosed the issue, and took the time to explain the issue in detail. The part had to be ordered. I got a call two days later (as estimated) to schedule a follow-up. Good communication, great work, and a nice guy.

Al responded to my call and was able to come the next day to disconnect my old gas range. I called him when the new one arrived and he came within an hour to install the new one. He was able to get the job done quickly and efficiently. I would definitely hire again!

Horribly. Did not fix issue and tried to overcharge for the fix (I had to correct the technician on pricing or would have been charged an additional $140). Also, was unresponsive when contacted back to fix the original problem and provided no solutions except to charge more money to come back to my condo. Full job would have cost an additional 50%+ more but I went with another contractor. Hung up on me during our final phone call. Would never recommend. I'm not a person who generally writes reviews but this was an awful experience. Communication was poor and professionalism was worse. I feel robbed of $346.

"Customer had several problems with his refrigerator we repaired the most serious problem which was a very bad ice buildup that was the causing of his evaporator fan motor to go bad and if this didn’t work which it normally does, if the customer would have call at a earlier stage in which he didn’t do, so now we have to replace the evaporator fan motor because the heavy ice buildup for a long time causes the evaporator fan motor to go bad, when we finish the job there was no noise he call couple of day later and told us that the fan was making noise again, normally repairing the heavy ice buildup that take care of the problem but he let it go on to long and this is what the customer said from his on mouth. So I told him now you just have to replace the evaporator fan motor and you [Member Information Removed] be all set because you let it go on to long until the motor is wormed out he didn’t want to do that so he got angry with us because of his Neglect. We went the way to try and help him save money but he let it go in so long it created more than one problems. Excuse my repetitious statements."

Al and his apprentice arrived on time and thoroughly assessed the range. They found the problem(s) fairly quickly, ordered the necessary parts and returned the following day to perform the repair. They confirmed normal operation after. The cost was very reasonable, and they showed respect for the premises for the entire duration of their stay. Would hire again.

Al contacted me right away and scheduled an appointment the next day. He and his colleague Bonny were professional, courteous, and thorough. Al performed a diagnosis and fortunately had the faulty part on hand. The repair was completed in a couple hours and their rate was more than reasonable. I highly recommend Al's Appliance Repair and will hire again.

Found on a Tuesday morning that our oven had stopped working. Called Al, and he and Marlo came out that afternoon. The faulty part (igniter) was diagnosed and replaced, and the appliance confirmed to work. Friendly, professional, and in and out within an hour. Would highly recommend.

Easy to work with, got the repairs on my stove/oven done quickly. Only issue was they ended up getting the part they needed later than expected, and had to postpone the repair date, but did not let me know they weren’t showing up that day ahead of time. Would have been nice to get that notice, but otherwise great job, would work with them again.

Al was great. He came the same day I called and had my oven fixed in less than an hour (including adding a new igniter). He was friendly and professional and fair. I would hire Al for all my appliance repair needs. Additionally, it's nice to be supporting a minority owned business...You can have faith that calling Al is a wise decision.

Al and his apprentice diagnosed the Ice maker problem and got me prices for the parts that we would need. They contacted me very quickly after my request, and both were very professional and courteous. We decided that what the parts cost and considering the age of the refrigerator that we should buy a new one. Thank you for your help Al!! I would recommend Him.

Beautifully!!! We had an emergency - Thanksgiving eve and the oven won't light! It was late but Al and Bonnie came over to check it out. They needed a different part (because of a problem with a previous repair) and came back today - Thanksgiving - to do the actual repair. Thanksgiving is saved thanks to Al and Bonnie!!! The next time we need a repair, and the next time we need an appliance installed, the first person I'm going to call is Al.

I needed an oven element for my electric stove, it broke 5 days before Thanksgiving, I put a call to Al’s appliances, speak with AL, he asks what is wrong. I tell him I need my oven element to be replaced. I gave him the serial # and Model # as he requested so he could bring the element with him that afternoon, between 1-3, he arrives to tell me the element is on back order and that would be $ 189.00. I asked for what did I owe him that amount of money. He said because he came out to make sure that the element is what I needed and it would cost that to replace it and his cost for driving out there. My problem is, Al knew the part was not available, but he chose to drive to tell me. An honest man would of called, and asked if I wanted him to order it. I gave him $89.00 for driving to tell me the bad news, I would not recommend him ever. He tried to trap me into giving him $ 189.00. shame on Al.

"First of all we don’t charge $189,00 for diagnostic fee only $89.00, we was already in the area so we need to go by and do a diagnostic to make sure that it wasn’t any other problems in which we have to do, because we are told so many times that the problem is this or that and when we do a diagnostic it’s something totally different. So when we call for the element we was told by the representative at the part store that it was not storage at the main store they had to order it and because of the pandemic situation so many parts are not in stock as they have been. So we normally charge a higher price than $189.00 for that Entire job but, we we’re giving her a special price because we had to wait on the igniter. Sorry, out of all the nice things we try to do for customers yet some just not satisfied with anything. Sorry she feel that way."
