Quoted price continued to increase as job progressed. Final price, more than doubled.
Flashing details were not per industry standards; 5 years later, massive leaking at failed "flashing" details.
Installed new roof drain on high point of roof! Worthless. Refused to return to correct until paid in full.
Basic roofing standards (flashing and where to install a roof drain) demonstrate inexperience, but will charge professional rates.
When we called AM/PM for a bid, we were very impressed with the professionalism, down-to-earth attitude and willingness to listen to, and answer our questions.
The co-owner Paul, kept us informed at all times regarding timing of every aspect of the job. He let us know when supplies were ordered, when they arrived, when the dumpster would be delivered, and when his crew would arrive. Everyone was here very promptly and took great care to protect all our landscaping prior to tearing off the existing roof. Each person I spoke with was polite, and well informed. They took the time from their work to explain what they were doing, what had been found about the previous roof, and answer any questions I might have.
I had expressed concerns about roofing nails that might be left on the ground since I'm frequently barefoot and we also have a dog running around. The guys took great care to be sure the area was thoroughly cleaned up both days. I also mentioned how I disliked the look of all the tar that had been put on the chimney previously. The person working on that was very meticulous about getting it all off and redoing the chimney so now it looks so much better! The new seamless gutters really frame the new roof beautifully. And the gutter guards will keep my husband off that ladder!
Paul's brother, Don was on-site the entire time and was very approachable about any concerns or questions we might have. The last day, no one seemed to be in a rush to leave even though it was getting late. They took the time to thoroughly clean up and chat with us a bit.
When the dumpster was picked up, Paul came back and checked the entire area for any left over nails or debris. He warned us that a few nails might fall out of the dumpster when it was moved and he came back with a magnet to make sure they were gone.
We were very impressed with the teamwork among the guys, the conscientious work ethic, and the great job done. The price was more than fair and the estimate was exactly what we were charged in the end.
We would hire AM/PM again in a heartbeat and certainly recommend them to anyone who needs a new roof or gutters!!

AM/PM arrived on time, they were courteous and professional. We discussed the job, they went to work. I received a comprehensive verbal inspection report, and they went one step further having taken photographs of the roof while up there. The photographs contributed to the discussion significantly. The fellows took care of popped nails, redid a couple of ridge shingles over a bay window, did some sealing, and that was that. All told, I knew the roof was in pretty good shape beforehand, they validated my knowledge, did not try to upsell or make a problem where there wasn't one. Further, in discussing other work on the property, they were candid and forthright about what they do, and what they don't creating an overall impression of "honesty". I liked working with AM/PM, and will call them again.

The owner promised that he would be on site when providing an estimate, but he never was on site. Consequently, the workers left cigarettes, construction debris, and trash on the property. Furthermore, the workers did not install the roof properly, and the gutter sub-contractor did a poor job of the installation, too.

The linings were installed but holes for downspouts were not cut fully, resulting in gutters that clogged immediately, overflowed and negated any protective benefit the linings were to provide for the wood underneath. Additionally, some linings were installed without sealing the endcaps; In particular, there was one sill which had a small amount of rot, but the spread of that rot was accelerated by the lack of a lining endcap. The extent of the carpentry work needed is now much more than before.

I tried to contact the contractor more than once to discuss the problem, and the one time I got through he indicated he would come by to check the job but never did. It's just as well, however, since I've now decided that I probably don't want him causing any more damage to my property.

"This member hired me to attempt to patch a failing wood gutter, I recommended he replace the yankee gutters with aluminum, but he chose to try a temporary fix. I did everything I was contracted to do."

Overall, the experience was good and the price was very competitive. The workers observed appropriate safety precautions, and kept the work site clean. They were very prompt in arrival each morning. The roofing work was finished very expeditiously.
There was a gap of several days between the installation of the roof and the gutter work; I think this was because he had subcontracted the work to another outfit.
The only significant issue that I didn't have addressed was the removal of the dumpster. I declined to pay the balance on the job (it was 50 percent up front, the remainder on completion) until the dumpster was removed. When the dumpster was finally removed, I discovered that it had deeply gouged my lawn where it was dragged.

I had considered this an overall positive experience, so a year later I called AM/PM and left a voice mail requesting an estimate on window replacement. They never returned my call. This (and the issue with the dumpster) is why I give them a D in responsiveness and a C in professionalism.

Of the 7 contractors interviewed, AMPM was chosen because the owner seemed to be well organized. His first appointment with me he brought his insurance certificates and a list of references with their location. The workmen were courteous and a pleasure to have around the property. The cleanup, particularly after the new roof installation was excellent. Considering they removed the old roof, not one roofing nail was found in the yard. The carpenter that did the work moving the location of one of the windows did an outstanding job. The overall job was great and we couldn't be happier. The price quoted was the price we paid. The address of this house is 169 OceanView Avenue, Mystic. You are welcome to stop and take a look. Ken St. Amour 401-789-7309

Arrived 1 day, 4 hours late. Men worked hard but left snow piled 8' high against the windows, doors and walls, causing damage to screens, wood and paint.

I talked to a guy and he gave me an estimate. They did the work, I paid them and that was it. I would tell others that it works well.

They are pretty confident and quick. I had a couple problems where I thought they had not done some venting when I thought they should have, but they came back and fixed everything. The owner wasn't the friendliest, but they got the work done fine.

First of all, the results are outstanding. I had interviewed 6 other contractors and chose AMPM because the price was competitive and the contractor arrived at the house for the estimate with all his references, licenses and insurance certificates in hand. After deciding to use AMPM, the contractor, Paul Dube made a number of excellent suggestions that we agreed to. There were some delays, mostly weather related, but the project started on time and ended close to being on time. Each stage of the project proved to be successful and we couldn't be happier. Whats noteworthy about this contracting company is that the tradesmen that work for AMPM were pleasant, hard working, respectful of the property and a please to have in the home. It can't be stressed enough how important it is having a responsive contractor and AMPM was always responsive to me. I made a number of changes during the project and they were able to take care of each change. The quality of the materials (virtually all being Certainteed) is A+. There were a few challenges facing AMPM with regard to the actual construction as we were relocating a window, but it proved to be "no problem" for them. Their employees were absolutely great and professional. I would gladly provide photos of the finished product. What was a small, unattractive house, is now a really cute little home. I would HIGHLY recommend AMPM to anyone looking to remodel their house.
