HORRIBLE Experience!!!!! Steven showed up late if at all and always had excuses- car broke down, flat tires, workers quit. He would showe up with a different worker each day, his girlfriend, his son and a dog. He would work 2-3 hours and ask for money daily preferably cash. He said he had bank problems, needed gas, tools and money to pay his workers. He and his workers argued outside my home. Drywall repair was done wrong requiring him to redo it. One of his workers was dropped off at my home unable to work for hours saying he had no tools and Stephen would not answer his calls or mines. Stephen would leave for hours and return forgetful and anxious. I begin to feel harrassed for money and unsafe in their presence. I told him his services were no longer needed. He started my fence and it's all messed up, costing me more money to redo. Please BEWARE!!!!

Steve started out OK but kept showing up late and only working a few hours at a time. Kept taking long breaks and always had excuses. Wanted to be paid regularly in cash. Took a month to do what he told me would be a few days with his crew. and at the end was showing up behaving incoherent and erratically. He seemed to only care about getting a couple hundred dollars each day and not getting the job done.

Absolutely wonderful! Steve and Stacy are so detailed and literally left no mistakes and fixed painting mistakes made by previous contractors. Reached very high and hard to reach places and it looks perfect and brand new! Already scheduling to use again and will only use them in future. HIGHLY recommend.

We had two bedrooms, two baths and a hallway where the lower four feet of drywall had been removed to re-mediate damage and mold after a plumbing leak. Steve gave us a quote on the spot after surveying the scope of repairs. Steve and Stacie showed up ready to work and kept at the job until it was done. They had an hour drive from their location to the job site, so a minor delay each day. They were efficient and quick with everything hung, taped, mudded, textured and, ready for paint in two and a half days. Steve seemed very knowledgeable and skilled.

Fantastic. Job was great. He even fixed a patch job from another repair I had done 5 years ago. You can not tell where the repairs are. Steve did a great job and I would highly recommend his services.

Steve and Stacie did excellent work. They were quick to contact me for an estimate. When the bid was accepted, they were quick to get started. They were punctual, organized, easy to work with, attentive to detail, did quality work, provided excellent cleanup, and utilized material in an effective and efficient manner.. I was very satisfied and will call them again.

Steve & Stacie were phenomenal to work with. They beat all expectations I had for the job at hand. They worked as a team and knocked out 2 bathroom projects in just 3 days. They left no mess and they kept the dust and mud out of the rest of the house, which is a real plus in my book. I have 2 small children who always wanted to talk and play with the new faces in the house and they never once got aggravated with them. They played as they worked. I had a brand new tile shower installed by another company and steve and Stacie made sure to tape and cover everything up so that it didn’t get affected by mud or texture. They really take pride in what they do.

Terrible. Wood studs where used instead of metal as instructed. Only worked of 45 minutes to an hour per day. So work left undone. Constantly harassed office manager for payment before work use complete. Had no respect for agreed upon work schedule. Appeared hours before closing while patients were still being treated. Expressed anger when told that he could not walk while patient care was in progress. I have already informed the BBB.

After him telling us he was finished 3 different times, we had him come back 3 times due to poor quality and incomplete work before he literally said we were being too picky and asked to be paid. What we are left with are two ceiling areas (over the bar and over the kitchen sink) that have been mudded but not sanded or painted. There is ceiling paint all over the walls, crown moulding and kitchen counters. I have been in hundreds of homes with slick ceilings and never seen one where the seams are so obvious. He blamed the condition of the sheetrock but never once talked about replacing it until after he was "done". His quote was the same as everybody else so it's not like he was giving us a deal. The last time I complained over the phone, he hung up on me. This was my first and last time using Angies List.

Very punctual and clean. Draped plastic everywhere, and job completed on schedule. Steve assured us he stands behind his work. The day we moved back in we found a few small paint flaws (he did 6 ceilings and painted the walls of those rooms). We called him and he was there the very next day fixing those flaws..no complaints, he wanted us satisfied. His estimates were very reasonable and yes, I would use him again.

Steve and Staci were originally going to meet me the day after Thanksgiving for an estimate, as they were travelling back into town and my place was right on the way. By 1pm I hadn't heard from them so I texted them. Traci responded they had to return a rental car & had some additional issues, so they wouldn't be able to make it . Ok, that seemed fair. We scheduled an appointment for the the next morning for an estimate. The showed about 1/2 hour early which is good with me. They gave me an estimate and I accepted the price. They assured me that they work together as a team. The day work was scheduled to be start (Dec 4) , Steve called at 7am to make sure I was available to make a CC payment over the phone for the material needed at Lowe's. I didn't hear from him for awhile and I had a meeting at work, so I texted around 11:15. Staci said Steve was running behind and would be to Lowe's in about 1/2 hour. He called around 11:45 and I paid for the material. I had my Dad come over and check to see how the work was going and by 3, and they were gone. He'd gotten the balance of insulation installed and the ceiling drywall up. Next day, the walls were up and some mud installed. On the 7th, I didn't hear from him at all, so I texted to see if he'd be working at my house. Staci texted me and said he'd be there in a couple hours. So,I had my Dad unlock the house.... At 4, Dad called me to say they never showed. So essentially, my house was unlocked for hours. I was pretty mad. ! Staci texted that Steve's sorry but he was held up in Mary Esther. I responded that THAT would have been NICE TO KNOW ! He just showed up the next day with a helper and they spent about 1/2 hour in the shed. He came to the door just as I was getting ready to leave and we just stood there and looked at each other. I was waiting for maybe a; hey, I'm really sorry about yesterday or SOMETHING like that. I finally had to say something. I said what happened yesterday ?? My house was open for hours. Steve said we should be glad the Lord has given us another day on earth . WHAT ???? WHAT does that even mean ?? Bottom line, Steve really rushed this job and it shows. Always in a hurry. Maybe he's not good at scheduling, I don't know. He left all the mess for ME to clean up. Who doesn't clean up their own mess ? Including soda bottles.. Any idea how heavy wet drywall is ? We primed the ceiling and painted 2 coats of white and I can still see the mud lines a bit. I guess it's just a shed so maybe no big deal. The electrical outlets in the shed were not out far enough to put the covers back on. Not Steve's fault BUT you'd think he might have mentioned it to me when he was dry-walling. With 30 years of experience under his belt, wouldn't you think he'd have said something? And maybe he would have if he wasn't so RUSHED. I had to get someone to come over and pull all the outlets out a bit, which was harder than it should have been because his cuts around the outlets were awful. On one outlet, the drywall was broke and he made no attempt to fix it. I texted them and let them know how disappointed I was in the work. Initially, Staci was responsive and asked about the mess, etc. I sent her pics. She said they've never had any complaints before and asked what they could do to make it right. I asked her about our original meeting where she said they work as a team. Part of my selecting them was knowing that a woman was on board. She said she'd hurt her back and couldn't work. I told her that I'd already painted the shed and had the electrical outlets moved. I had already cleaned up the mess left outside and inside. I requested that some of my $ be returned OR - I had a small project he could do to redeem himself. Never heard from them again. So, I told her I would leave honest and appropriate feedback. The drywall is up and done, so that's a plus but wouldn't have them work for me again.

We received several quotes for this work and they were very reasonable. and had excellent reviews. I must agree with the reviews as the work was done on time, professionally, and extremely neat. Popcorn removal and finishing drywall is very dusty. They were able to contain it in the rooms and cleaned up afterwards to make it easy on us. Finally, it is very difficult to find subcontractors that show up on time and complete the project according to schedule. They were fantastic about this. We would definitely use their services again.

Stacie and Steve were very professional, courteous, and punctual. They arrived exactly when they said they would and did an excellent job taping and mudding drywall that we installed in a very unprofessional manner. Steve would have had a much easier time if we would have hired him for the whole job but we wanted to try ourselves to get the experience, we won't do that again ;) Price included supplies and was for a small laundry room and bathroom. They made sure to clean up any messes and were very patient with our dog that wanted to help them in the process. We have already asked them to quote out another project for a family home we're going to be selling later this year.

Folkers Window Company used Steve and his company to perform some difficult drywall repairs and painting. He helped us with some types of work that we do not perform. Top notch work and great responsiveness. I highly recommend A Magician's Construction & Drywall.
