The company was very efficient and on time and completed on time. Did excellent work connecting a new air duct into the house and some re-fixing on the original furnace and brought the correct filters for it. Thx Dougherty's

Thermostat Service
Cons - (1) The problem with the thermostat was an extra wire was included in the wire connector, this took an hour to figure out. (2) I wished he was a bit more considerate and used shoe covers or offered to remove his shoes. (3) A bit pricey, 189 (including tax) for 1-1.25 hrs. Pros - (1) He called me back. This sounds like a default, but I've dealt with many painters, electricians, heating systems people and they don't always call back. (2) He showed up for our appointment within the window he said he would. Again, seems simple, but often not done. (3) He got the job done. Overall I would recommend him :)

Thermostat Service
Out of 3 companies, American Energy Systems is the only one who responded to my request. Jeff called right away and came to my home when he said he would (does not usually work on Sat.). He checked the furnace and the thermostat and fortunately the furnace was ok but I needed a new thermostat which he replaced and was complete within 1 hour. He took extra time to show me how to set and run the thermostat. I would call him again with any heating or air cond. problems and would highly recommend him to a neighbor, friend or family.

They were quick on the job, and had the parts on the rig. I never got an estimate, they proceeded like it was a service call. I thought it was just an estimate. Once Jeffery told me he figured it out and had the parts I said OK. He didn't like my ACE hardware thermostat, but I'm not in Sammamish that is to say our needs are basic. I'll take a look at the Honeywell, maybe. .At least It is done now.

The service person arrived and diagnosed the problem within 15 minutes of arrival. The final cost of $850.00+ was considerably more than the quoted $200.00, but it was due to having to replace the heat exchangers at a cost of $565.00 for the parts. He was done within 2 hours, and had cleaned up. My only complaint is that he stated he would replace the filters, but when he found he didn't have the type for our furnace, he said it would be alrigiht to run the furnace relying on the in house filters. I think he should have either offered to get the filters and put them in, or deducted the amount of the filters and installation from the bill.

"Thank you for your comment. I am sorry you you assumed that the filters were an extra charge. I assure you they were not. We Will often replace the filters as a courtesy if we have them. It is however very hard to carry all the sizes."

He was actually about 30 minutes EARLY, which never happens! Was able to fix my furnace to get me through the rest of this winter, and I plan on using this contractor to replace my existing furnace this summer. I was pleased that he was able to get it working to get me through the rest of January and February and did not feel that he was trying to sell me something above and beyond what I needed. Since money is VERY tight for me, I appreciate someone who is honest and forthright. I would definitely recommend and was thankful for his promptness and efficiency.

We were very pleased with the tune-up service performed on our gas furnace by American Energy Systems. Their service staff were technically capable and very professional and friendly -plus they didn't try to sell us unneeded services or parts; the bill was exactly as estimated. We were pleasantly surprised at how quickly they were able to schedule the work on our furnace.
