In my opinion, this has been one of the worst experiences with ever dealing with a contractor. The first installers that showed up not only broke glass from windows several times but also smoked cigarettes while my windows were out. One also ended up being so careless that glass and cut his leg ended in an ER visit. At that time, I had a window in my upstairs that was exposed to the outside elements. When speaking with customer service and also the manager of the installers they could not give me a time when they could get another installer out and stated that it could be several days before people are finished with other jobs before they could get to mine. They covered my window with thin plastic and spray foam. I thought I was being reasonable by asking them just to come and install the one window and that the job did not have to be finished that day or over the weekend. When speaking with her, the customer service manager stated that they did not know if they could accommodate having someone come off another job to install one window that exposed my house to the elements and also didn't know when they could get someone else to come to finish. This was hours after the incident. After that, the service manager told me he would call me by the end of the day to let me know if he could have an installer come over the next day but wasn't 100% sure and stated that it could be next week. At this time, I told them this was unacceptable and that I needed someone to at least come and fix the one window either today or tomorrow. By them not being able to give me a timeline my tenant had to cancel his out-of-town travels as he did not feel safe leaving his belongings exposed. The following day I got a call stating that a crew was on their way, which made me happy. But the installer that came was by himself, and even though he did a great job, my tenant living at my property had to help him carry the windows up the stairs, and also had to use my ladder to help him off the roof. When speaking with customer service, I told them that this was unacceptable that tenant and had to help with the job. They went on to only make excuses in a rude manner and told me that he probably chose to do that in, which he did because over the weekend, we had various storms coming, so he did not want to be in the same situation as before and had the elements outside damage the inside of my property. When seeking compensation, they told me that "life happens" and they could not give any discounts for the job. In my opinion, this company does not stand for the five-star customer service they portrayed. With every phone call I was met with a questioning tone, as well as being very defensive when requesting that my exposed window be installed within the next two days.

Excellent service and excellent quality product installed. The change in our bathrooms is remarkable.

Jonathan made the installation process quick and painless for me as the home owner, with very little disruption to my routine. He was punctual and professional.

Pleasant, professional, responsive-- did exactly what they said they would. A great company to work with.

They did an excellent job, both father & son. I would recommend American Home Design for good type quality work. Life time warranty on glass, screens, & siding around the window. A piece of my siding came apart, I just call no questions asked & they were out in a matter of a few days. Fixed the piece with no problem.

The windows arrived earlier than expected, and the crew arrived on time. They were efficient and professional, a great job of installation, and my home was as clean on the outside when they left as it was when they got there. An extra bonus as they cleared out the dead flowers in front of the picture window. I have had at least 2 follow up calls concerning my satisfaction; with a thank you note from the Bill (this past weekend) who sold me the windows. Smoothly. The installers were punctual, professional, efficient and friendly.

I sort of combined both responses up above in the previous question. However, if American Home Design wants to offer me some sort of free good faith work in my home... I'd consider renewing our business relationship. Otherwise, the situation remains the same... I can't recommend American Home Design to another potential client. Should American Home Design step-up and makes this right for me... I'll upgrade their status! So, for now... this remains one of worst companies I've ever done business with.

Started out fine...found that .wrong size pan had been ordered, had to re-order...took over a week. Then what we were told would take about 4 hours, took all day. Now after approx 4-5 months, middle shelf is loose, caulking peeled around bottom of shower. Came to repair, had to order a new shelf. 2nd week waiting on that. Still waiting.

Great. Rep was knowledgeable and the installers were in and out in a day. Very impressed that my energy savings will pay for my windows

I call AHD for new windows ,soffits and Vinyl siding, after a few quotes I decided to go with AHD That?s when the fun <br /> started, My front double hung window was installed wrong, there were  no screws on right side, the reason I <br /> discovered this is when I washed my window, my hand went between window and the house, I could see the outside world. <br />  I called AHD  <br /> When a New installer showed up he put the screws in, I should of checked his  <br /> work, more on that later,  <br /> Then the vinyl faded on front and south side of home. About 5 yrs. after <br /> the installation, let me remind you that during the estimate the salesmen <br /> stated several time that the PREMIUM Vinyl would have a lifetime warranty, no <br /> questions asked. <br /> I called AHD <br /> When front of house was done (vinyl replacement) it <br /> was discovered that window was leaking the <br />  whole time. All the wood was rotted under the window, <br /> the installers then tried to install new vinyl on the rotted <br /> wood,, they stated they were not qualified to replace rotted wood. I asked them to stop and put the old vinyl back <br /> Took pictures, called AHD <br /> ·         <br /> Installers stated that a qualified contractor <br /> would contact me.        <br /> AHD called set up appointment <br /> ·         <br /> Same installers showed up that stated they were not qualified to do the work. <br /> ·         <br /> Proceeded to rebuild wall <br /> ·         <br /> Installation was moldy and damp, they attempted to <br /> put it back in wall <br /> ·         <br /> I stopped them, they stated they didn?t have <br /> time for me to get new insulation. <br /> ·         <br /> I had some R-13 in attic, <br /> Vinyl still faded on chimney <br /> Contacted AHD <br /> ·         <br /> Sent me letter, Vinyl has no warranty against fading, but yet the replaced 50% of the vinyl??? <br /> Called again       <br /> Then they instructed ME to climb on my roof to remove vinyl and ship back to the manufacturer, I <br /> then went to AHD and meet with the service manager and the supervisor and asked <br /> ?how would the home owner know how to remove a section without damaging the <br /> siding?, they agreed and sent out a service man, <br /> They said they would correct issue <br /> That was 1 week ago, no communication. <br /> Save yourself some heart ache <br /> find a different company for your needs, the <br /> installers they use are just some <br /> Larry, Daryl and Daryl from the street with a <br /> weekend class. <br /> FOLLOW UP: 04/28/2015 <br /> The vinyl on my chimney is still faded, AHD came out and removed a piece, shipped it to the manufacturer, which was lost, so now I have a large piece missing from my home which doesn't look the best. I do take pride in my home, apparently AHD really dosent care once the check has been cashed <br />   <br /> Update: they finally agreed to replace the faded vinyl on the chimney and it only took 2 Years !! <br /> <br />
