American Iron Works, Inc. is a specialty company that provides quality fencing-including custom wrought iron, wood, aluminum, vinyl and chain link styles. We fabricate and install custom wrought iron railings- both interior and exterior. Our company specializes in decorative wrought iron walk through gates and driveway gates as well as a variety of custom ornamental iron projects. With four generations of experience- our company motto is that there is no project too big or too small- you can be assured we will do our very best to reach customer satisfaction with every job we do.

5 months after paying the down payment, the fence project is still not completed. This company seems to have had multiple names. American Outdoor Service a.k.a. American Architectural Iron & Fencing a.k.a. American Iron Works. My paperwork has their address as 14453 Edison Dr. Unit 7, New Lenox, IL 60451, Ph:815.485.8500, Fax 815.485.7313. Email americanironworksinc@gmail.com As of October 25, 2019: After more than 5 months the wrought iron fence project for my home is not complete. It has been over 5 months since I paid my contact, Rick Gleason a down payment of $1,368.00 for a wrought iron fence with installation for my home. It has been over 3 months since the wrought iron posts were installed and at that time Rick told me that the fencing/gate should be ready in 1 ½ to 2 weeks which would allow him to complete this project. I have contacted this company more than a dozen times in the last month and no one has responded or contacted me and the fence project is still unfinished. I have filed complaints with Home Advisor (they told me the company is no longer in "their network") and the Better Business Bureau Both organizations have contacted this company with no response.

Rick was very professional and timely. He came out on the morning he said he would and replaced and repaired the posts as discussed during his initial estimate visit. He was in contact with us through the entire process. I would certainly recommend him to all of my family and friends. Great guy to work with!

The project went really well, and I couldn't be happier. Just as I requested, the new railing looks exactly like the old railing. There were some issues with installing it into the existing concrete steps, and Rick Gleason found a solution that really worked well. The new railing is sturdy and looks great.
