First impression was great: Tim picked up the phone right away, was available the same afternoon, called when he was on his way, and was overall very personable. Unfortunately, he didn't seem to actually want to do the work. He fixed the tub drain right away. Would barely look at the shower control issue and without even taking the front piece off to look, told me it would need to be replaced because the fixture was not a name brand. Did not tell me what would be involved, give me a quote, or express any interest in doing the work, just "Yep, that needs to be replaced. What else needs to be done?" So I showed him the toilet with a weak flush (water running into the bowl, had to hold handle down to flush completely). He tried flushing it a couple of times and told me I needed a new toilet because this one was "a piece of junk". I asked what was wrong with it and he said something vague about there probably being cracks in some unnamed part, and he'd have to take the tank off to repair it and by that time we may as well get a new toilet. Was there anything else I needed him to look at? I asked him to try to repair it and he went and got his snake (??? it was never clogged), snaked it, said it wasn't clogged and we needed a new one. I asked him what would happen if he replaced the flapper. He did and voila, it flushed without holding the handle down... A few minutes later he heard water running into the bowl again. He pulled out some other part and replaced that and like magic, that was fixed too. Before he left, I asked for a quote to replace the shower controls and he seemed reluctant to give me one. It wasn't an unreasonable number. I felt like he didn't want my business unless we wanted to remodel the whole bathroom. I'm not sure why I had to make a specific suggestion for how to fix my own toilet to get him to do it, unless he thought I was too dumb to know that it was a simple repair. I did appreciate that he charged me fairly for the work he did do. I appreciated that he was friendly and available the same day. But will I be calling him the next time I need a plumber? Sadly, no.

Tim was great! He was courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient. We would have never gotten that hose off ourselves. I would & will use him again.

My Kohler bathroom faucet leaked and I ordered a repair part from the manufacturer (free replacement!). However, I was not able to remove the old stem cartridge to replace it with the new one. I used the $99 coupon offered by Tim and it was money well spent. He completed the repair quickly and effectively and then offered to fix any other problem I might have since this job took less than an hour. I found him to be knowledgeable, skillful, friendly and trustworthy. I will use his services again and will highly recommend him to others.

Right on time and done within an hour. Great attitude. Even diagnosed low water pressure and told me to call our service provider to check it. Pressure is good now!

It went fine. I had had an electrician look at it before and he said I needed a plumber to look at it. It's in very good shape. I think I put in a request on a Friday and they came on a Monday. The house was built in 1930 so you know it's old. And there's a sump pump under there so I had the electrician looking at it, part of the mechanism fills up with water and then it turns itself warm and then it kicks on. I asked the electrician whether it was operating the way it's supposed to be operating and he said I had to check with the plumber. So the plumber was American Plumbing and they came out and said that it was working the way it should work.

He wasn't able to fix it, and said it was time to replace the unit. He has done work for us before and is always so honest and sincere. I appreciate him not trying to take advantage. He is the best plumber I have ever used.
