American Solar Solution

The set up and install went flawlessly and it is still performing quite well. My only issue with this company is it's financing solution for the project and the follow through with that aspect of the job. It seems every time we turn around the person we have dealt with is no longer at the company. I don't have a strong feeling they will be there if there ever is a problem but it's been over a year now and everything is still performing beautifully and they DID install a quality system. <br />

It went great! The certified technician was extremely informative and was detailed oriented. He painted the picture for me so I could make an intelligent decision. Over all, I was extremely satisfied!!! I will most definitely recommend American Solar Solution to all of my family members and friends. =) <br />

The staff i spoke with was very helpful and professional. They provided plenty of helpful information and answered all of my questions. The installation of the solar panels i purchased for my home went very well and smooth. I was very happy and satisfied with the service and installation. I highly recommend this company when purchasing and installing solar panels. I do have this company in thought for other services i might need in the near future. <br /> AMCRUZ <br />

Answered a cold call, against my better judgement. Satisfied with installation and performance of equipment. Great utility bill savings, good decision. Other than that, working with American Solar Solution was awful. I didn't have an Angie's List membership to check out their claims that they were highly rated. Later I joined for another reason and found lots of complaints with defensive rebuttals/excuses posted by American Solar, always blaming the customer. Salesperson disappeared after paperwork signed, never heard from him again. Promises to take $1000.00 off my bill for anyone else who signed up in my area were bogus. Promise to enter me for "showcase house" for extra free work to my house were bogus. Promise to help me shop for loans to pay off balance after a year were bogus. City permit took 6 months, office lost rebate paperwork, blamed it on terminated employee with hollow apology. Never got Edison rebate, had to call Edison myself to see what happened; still working on this. Main power breaker shut off by workers during inspection, left off for whole day, I had to figure it out myself in the dark. No one could explain this. Couldn't use system while paperwork was being straightened out, but 1 year no interest agreement started when loan paperwork was signed, so it was only 6 months with no interest, in reality. Everyone I spoke to in the office was rude and defensive, in spite of me giving them the benefit of the doubt and being courteous and patient. Stay away from this company, I'm sure there are many others who will do a great job. Do your homework, don't take their word for it. <br />

We first saw an ad in the paper and decided to research the possibility of installing solar. We investigated numerous solar companies and looked at leasing vs purchasing. American Solar Solution has an A+ rating with the Better business Bureau which made us confident in the company. We contact them and arranged an appointment and Sal attended our home. Sal spent plenty of time with us and explained everything to us so we understood. The installation team were extremely punctual, polite and professional. We were very impressed by their commitment to getting the job done right. Thank you American Solar for a job extremely well done. <br />

American Solar Solution were in the area providing information on installing solar panels. We expressed interest and set up a consultation to discuss our options. Nir from American Solar Solution attended our property for a consultation and was very informative and friendly and talked us through the entire process. We decided to go ahead with installing solar as we had a high electric bill of $500-$800 per month. The installation team were professional and left the place clean and tidy. Thank you to Nir and everyone at American Solar for such a great job. <br />

<p>Dealing with this company has been a total nightmare. The reason I have a positive review on record for them, is that two representatives from American Solar Solution arrived at my home while I had the flu. The panels had been installed at the time, but we were still in the process of getting approval from the city and from Edison to be able to run the system - so I had no idea if they would work or not. They wanted me to leave a positive review on Angie's List, but I was too sick. So, they asked to use my computer, opened an Angie's List account for me, and typed the review themselves. I was too out-of-it and weak from the flu to protest at the time. <br /> <br /> The experience started out nice, and they are prompt when they want you to sign up for a $22k solar system, but the customer service afterward is abyssmal. The monitoring system has never once worked correctly, and I've been getting the run-around from them since December, trying to get the system working correctly. They set up an appointments with me to fix it on several occasions, and then didn't show up and didn't call. They seem unwilling to correct the issue. <br /> <br /> After my experiences with American Solar Solution, I cannot recommend this company to anyone.</p>

From sales to install the whole process has gone well. All our questions were answered with knowledge of the solar industry yet explained in a way a layman can understand. We discussed the pro's and con's of lease vs buying and decided to buy our system. Idan (our sales rep) also explained the power needed for our home and the amount of savings we would see with the system. So far they are right on the mark on the output of the new system and the amount of power we generally use. <br /> The install went very well, David the installer was quick and neat. He explained everything as he went along and showed us the things to watch out for in the future with the system. Like, cleaning the panels and keeping debris from settling on the roof. We had a few hiccups setting up the micro-converter monitoring system but it all worked out and we LOVE what we can monitor per panel with the Enphase/Enlighten system. And the fact that with the micro converters each panel is generating individually rather than the old way of each "string" of a system generating the power. That way if one panel gets a bit more shade.... all the rest still produce well and the system isn't downgraded. This is all fairly new technology and David did great getting us set up. <br /> The only thing that slowed us down in the whole project was Edison. It seemed to take weeks for them to give final approval to turn the system on but our project manager Lee kept on things and we are now good to go. She also went over the maintenance of the system, environmental things to watch out for with dust build up and shading issues etc. I notice 2 panels generating less power than all the rest , checked things out and it appears we have more shading from a tree than expected late in the afternoon. When I told Lee I was going to trim the tree she even offered to connect me with someone that could help with that chore. They really seem concerned with even the littlest details and want the customer to be happy. <br /> Everything is still real new but so far we are happy solar owners!! <br />

We found everyone involved to be professional, hard working and cordial. Area was kept clean and kept free of any debris! Timeline of installation went as quoted to us and salesman, Nir, kept his promises. He was available for any questions or problems that came up. He was very friendly and easy to work with. <br />

Everything went very smoothly and we are happy with the system. <br /> We received our first electricity bill since the system was installed and it was $0.00 compared to $368 on the previous bill. This impressed us. <br /> And the DWP incentives payment was prompt and made us even happier to install the system. <br /> Thank you American Solar. Great job <br />

Beware. We have been very dissatisfied with our experience. We were promised many things in terms of rebates from DWP and with our selection as a Bosch Showcase home. <br /> There's a lot of bait and switch with this company. IF you use them, make sure everything is in writing and that it is detailed what your rebates will be and what the policy is for any other "incentives". Beware. <br />

Our first contact was Naomi Baldwin who was the salesperson and the project manager. She negotiated the contract with us and communicated with us about the work schedule. Naomi was very responsive throughout all stages of the project. She responded quickly to our calls and answered, or obtained answers, to all our questions quickly. Naomi was really excellent. <br /> The work was originally completed on April 24 and was approved by the city inspector the next day. As it happened, we were away from Apr 24. However, we still had to wait for approval from Con Ed before the system could be turned on. When we returned home on May 4 there was no word from Con Ed. We waited until May 14 to call them. Then we learned that they did not have all the paperwork from Am Solar. That took a few days to resolve as the one person in the Am. Solar back office who handled this was away. Finally we received the approval letter from Con Ed. around May 21. <br /> After we turned on the energy system we still had to get the Envoy communications system working. We were unable to establish communication between that system and the panels. We dealt with a contact at Envoy, over several days, trying to get the system working, to no avail. Then we reached out to Am. Solar. Our request for a technician to visit was not treated expeditiously. We had to go through repeat rounds of telephone Qand A about our system and assurances that the visit would be scheduled, before a tech did visit on Jun 7. He conceded that the system was not working but was unsure whether it was the microinverters or the way they were connected. He promised to return on Mon, Jun 10 when he corrected the connections. The system worked immediately and has worked very well since then. Its a bit early yet to tell whether the system is delivering as promised. We need more data for that conclusion. So far we are satisfied. It just took a long time. <br /> Since we were away Apr 24, we do not know why or how the original techs concluded that the system was working. <br />

I rely on word of mouth and integrity of a business. I came across <br /> a company called American Solar Solutions located in North Hollywood. I wasn't <br /> sure what I was getting into but I decided to give it a try .At first, I had done extensive research on <br /> different companies and read reviews in Angie's list as well. So I went with my <br /> gut and called the company and made an appointment. I gotten a call from the <br /> telemarketer and she confirmed with me the representative meeting with us and <br /> the time he will arrive. <br /> So the next couple of days, my parents and I were scheduled <br /> to meet with a sales representative. The <br /> sales representative arrived and introduced himself, his name was Nir. Nir was <br /> punctual and greeted us with a smile and a warm personality that came with it. <br /> He made us comfortable from the very start. Considering my parents reside in <br /> Long Beach and the office was in North Hollywood, I was a bit impress. He <br /> arrived about 30 minutes early. We welcomed him inside. <br /> As we sat down, he started the ice breaker and said to my mom, <br /> "wow what a lovely house you have!" of course my mom says "thank <br /> you, I'm the only one with good taste." Well started laughing..Right then <br /> and there my parents and I looked at each other and said "Yes" he is <br /> the one! Nir introduced himself and his credentials to the company. He gave us <br /> further details on what his company <br /> offered in additions to solar <br /> panel installation (construction, remodeling etc.) In the presentation he has <br /> showed us testimonials and walked us through the process of using sunlight and <br /> in returned, used as energy. My parents <br /> were closely very attentive to the presentation. Also he explained the <br /> different type of solar panels that his <br /> company was offering. He also specified how much kilowatt (panels) needed for <br /> the house if my parents were to get solar panels. The most interesting part <br /> that really intrigued me was his capabilities to analyze my parents bill <br /> monthly for the next 20 years if we <br /> continued to pay the electric company versus going solar.. <br /> Nir also informed us that we are eligible for rebates and <br /> incentives because the government encourages homeowners to go solar and green. <br /> Nir was very patient and clearly answered our questions. He was very pleasant <br /> and nice. He was very professional and <br /> knowledgeable. There was never a question he couldn't answer. We decided <br /> to sign with him because he is very credible at what he does and he conducted <br /> himself with a lot of pride and integrity on his work and American Solar <br /> Solutions. <br /> Nir informed us step by step throughout the whole process of <br /> the job. From inspection appointments all the way when the panels will be <br /> delivered and installed. It was just very smooth to us with NO problems. We didn't realize the panels <br /> were so quick to install until he called my mom and said "Ms L" we <br /> are done and you can enjoy your solar panels now." They had good workers and they kept the job going which I appreciated. Furthermore, they completed everything to my satisfaction.

I am picketing in front of the offices of American Solar Solution and I have been approached by lots of people, imcluding former and current employees who have helped me to get a better understanding of the unethical practices of this company. If I had known any of this, I would have never opened my doors to American Solar Solution <br /> You should be aware that there is a chance that American Solar Solution may change their company name. This is something I was told by one of the people that I spoke with and I have no way of confirming this. <br /> <br />

I received a call from one of their sales reps regarding a free quote. I was getting calls from many companies but for some reason, the lady who I spoke to was very professional, kind and had answers to all of my questions. I told her to call me back in a couple days so I could first talk to my husband about it. She called me back and we set up the appointment. The day of the appointment, their technician called and arrived on time. He was also very professional, courteous and had all the answers. He din't try to sell me anything, didn't lie to me, very honest. We decided to go with the leasing option and they are finally done with the panels. They look incredible and can't wait to start sving. <br />

The most impressive aspect of American Solar is their customer service. Initially, my wife and I had some problems with the work we had contracted with American Solar. (They also do home remodeling.) The problems had nothing to do with their solar commitment, it was work concerning plumbing. Not to go into great detail, but the plumbing needed to be completed before we moved on to the solar work. Problem after problem cropped up, after a while my wife and I wanted to give up. Sal and Shay, two excellent representatives of the company, persuaded my wife and I not to give up on them and they gave their word they wouldn't rest until they could get our problems solved. Well, after some delay, and cost to their company which they didn't pass on to our wife and me, they fixed our plumbing problems. American Solar's commitment and dedication were extremely impressive. If anybody says they have a problem with their project, American Solar will stand by their word and work and work until you are happy and satisfied. Now, as for the solar work, our panels were installed in three days. Fast, efficient and mostly clean, this part of the work went by very smoothly. We haven't had the panels long enough to give any info on our electric bills or any real savings yet, but what stands out most at this point is American Solar's customer service. They stand by their word. Peter, Sal and Shay work extremely hard because, in the end, they want to see their customers happy and satisfied. Through good times or bad, you'll like working with them! <br />

The installation crew was prompt and efficient in their work. They completed the installation within 2 days and returned to repair the roof tiles after the city inspector to ensure all broken tiles were repaired. There was nothing they could have done to make the installation easier or more efficient. Highly recommend this company as they've had multiple follow ups to insure my satisfaction. Since I paid for the work using a promotional balance tranfer checks from 2 credit cards, American Solar Solution rebated the balance transfer fee to me in the form of a check. That allowed me to receive 12 months interest free on the balance tranfers. Very nice!! <br />

My parents finally got around to renovating their house and thought it'd be a good idea to install some solar panels to take advantage of all this sunlight in California (global warming?? :/) Well, after getting estimates from some solar panel businesses in our county, my parents decided to go with American Solar Solution because not only did they have the best price for the solar panels my parents were looking for but they really took their time to go over all the details about the entire process and patiently answered all of my parents' questions. I think my parents were most impressed by the fact that they actually finished installing the solar panels by the time that they said they would. (Personally, I'm most impressed by the fact that solar panels can make the electricity my pareitns' house needs without harming the environment.) My parents have already been telling their friends and family that they need to get some solar panels as well! <br />

We started with a new roof facing South on a two story house, with no shadows, an ideal location. Eli explained the quirky and ever shifting government rebate situation, and handled all the paperwork for both federal and DWP rebates. He also found us a one year zero interest loan for most of the balance. The work was done promptly, and looks fine from the ground (no way am I going up there). Now we're just waiting for DWP to flip the switch. <br />
