They arrived an hour late, and then didn't bring enough boxes to move all our clothing. but they did a good job otherwise. They worked quickly, and moved some items we were hoping to get moved but, were't sure they would have room on the truck for, They finished the entire job in about three hours.

I am very happy with the moving crew and my move coordinator. After setting up the move he sent me a confirmation email. They called me a day before to go over the details again. I was called by the office and the drivers on move day to verify I was home and ready. I was even called after my move to see did everything went ok. The moving crew was knowledgeable, courteous and very fast. These guys are the best movers I have used hands down. I would defiantly use them again. <br />

The movers showed up during the correct window (12:00 pm - 2:00 pm). They started the move at 1:10 p.m. One of the movers was extremely hardworking, and you could tell he was very experienced. The other they blatantly admitted it was his first day EVER doing a move. He had no idea how to use a dolly. He carried one box at a time. In addition to being inexperienced, he was extremely lazy. On multiple occasions, I'd come outside to find him leaning against the wall. One time, I even saw him and quot;ridingand quot; one of the flat wheeled dollys like a surfboard!!! I then realized that they had showed up with the truck already 1/4 of the way full - there was someone else's couch and love seat in it. It took them 2 hours and 45 minutes to load the truck. We did not have an extraordinary amount of furniture: A bed, headboard, small dresser, kitchen table, couch, 2 small chairs, 10 large boxes, 10 small boxes. Almost 3 hours to load that (including with my husband and I's help) was ridiculous. 30 minutes of it was spent rearranging the furniture in the truck, because it was partly full when it arrived! It was frustrating because one of the the movers was working so hard, and the other did absolutely nothing. At one point Mover A was moving SEVEN boxes with two hands, and Mover B picked up a grocery sack of shampoo! My four year old nephew could have helped that much. <br /> I called Amertiex after the truck was loaded, on the way to the house. I was told they would try to contact the movers to see what had happened. At the end of the move, they insisted on charging me for the full amount (4 hours, 15 minutes), and said I could call a supervisor to be reimbursed for part of it on Monday. On Wednesday, after my third or fourth call, I did talk to a supervisor. She was apologetic, and seemed genuinely embarrassed, but said the most they could offer me was 30 minutes refund ($40). She said the mover told her he already took 25 minutes off (he didn't.) I explained that I was still not satisfied, but I was told they were sorry, that was all they could do. They promised to give me a discount next time, depending on and quot;the weather.and quot; (What does that even mean?) <br /> I did not give Ameritex all C's or F's, because they have done good moves for me in the past, their rates are reasonable (if they would have been done timely), no furniture was damaged, and I did at least get a partial refund and an apology. But I will still not use their services in the future. It is unacceptable to hire someone that lazy/inexperienced, and then only refund 1/8 of the charge. <br />

I called for an estimate and received favorable rates compared to Apple movers and Two Men and a Truck. So I decided to hire these guys to move items from the townhouse to my new apartment. I was given a window of 12p-2p. Juan called me at 1145 to notify that he will be at the house at 115p. He showed up at 105. He was very nice, and professional. He offered to wrap and close the drawers on the dressers, something I was in the process of doing. They moved the furniture carefully making sure that they did not hit or scrape the walls. They were very efficient. I also ask for him to move a couple additional items (46and quot; tv and stand) to which he didn't charge extra. They got to the apartment before I did and they had already gone into the leasing office to get in the complex and knew where to park the trailer to unload. <br /> They only thing he ask was the form of payment and ask if I could pay in cash so they can get paid the same day. I didn't have a problem with that request. But totally OK to have paid with credit card. <br />

It went very well. They showed up on time and did a great job. It took 2 guys 2.5 hours to unload the truck, which seemed to be about right. The guys worked very hard and were careful. The charge was $69 per hour.

The actual movers were amazing. Juan and Jose were absolutely incredible. Careful, courteous, diligent, speedy, etc. However, the people at the central office didn't listen to a word I said several times, didn't call me back when they promised me they would, showed up late to give the movers the boxes, and didn't show up with the keys to unlock the building. Bottom line: In the middle of a 2 day move they told me they could not show up to move the second half of my stuff (even though the truck was half full of my stuff) even though I had a confirmation number for the second day. The owner Rosa tried to compensate by giving me $10/off an hour but the movers had to suck up the mistakes and show up early Sunday morning to finish the move. In addition, I think they charge a different rate after 5PM which they *conveniently* did not mention. My advice: Get Juan and Jose's phone number and get them to do them move directly.

Crew actually called and was running early. We got everything loaded and unloaded in slightly more than 2 hours. Very efficient and no damage. Two men and a trailer. Rate is $75/hr for two men and truck. No trip charge. We received a 10% discount for a referral from apartment complex. Was able to do the move on a Sunday. Major credit cards accepted.
