They were wonderful. The estimate was perfect and they were easy to work with and kind. They came on time and gave prompt, professional service.

The price was too high, I'm just not going to be able to do it and it scares me all of the stuff that they wanted to do. They were pleasant, polite and adequate. They looked up from the fire place and climbed on the roof so they did a good job looking around. They came when they said they were going to come but they came in the afternoon.

I wanted confirmation so I called Merrie Sweepe based on previous experience reported on Angie's list. They performed a thorough inspection, including lowering a video camera down the the chimney. Their recommendation was that no liner was needed.

They came over soon after called and repaired our fireplace. The price was less than quoted. We have also had prior repairs and cleanings done, all of which was done well. I would recommend them and use them again. <br />

Very prompt, super quick scheduling and professional service. I was able to get a quote, schedule the service and have the service performed all within the same week...all during the busiest season of the year. All of the technicians were very professional, and seemed to know their trade well. Being new to owning a wood burning fireplace I had plenty of questions, and they answered all of my questions patiently and thoroughly. <br /> I did not receive quotes from other companies, so I can't compare their prices, but they seemed reasonable from the research I had done online. <br />

He showed up on time, with all needed supplies, and also moved a very heavy antique stove to inspect it appropriately. He made sure my husband and I really understood what he was looking at and why he was reporting on the issues he saw. <br />

Great service and seemed to do a very good job (tough to tell unless you go inside the chimney). Timely and seemingly cost effective athough I did not shop around for price quotes, Service person was friendly, informative, clean and efficient. He did not seem annoyed with my questions and offered useful advice when asked... all while working, so I wasn't being billed for a conversation. the only reason I gave them B's (vs A's) in price and quality is because I have nothing to compare them to (see above). And the B in and quot;responsivenessand quot; is just because they were a few weeks out before they could come do the work. I guess that means they're busy, which is a good thing, and also because I waited until what is probably their busiest time of year to call (October). Highly recommended. <br />

Got the quote, accepted the quote, work got done shortly thereafter. Everything went well. <br />

I have been using them for a couple of years. They are a local outfit. They tend to have a good local reputation. They seem to do a good. job. There were some communication problems in the last job that they did. I would recommend them depending on the nature of the work. They did a good job when they were relining the chimney. They had a quote, but they ended up switching a component on the job and it would have been nice to know about that ahead of time. They were neat and nice.

These folks are easy to work with from start to finish. Bill McCarthy first came out to our home and reviewed the specs for the stove to be installed and existing condition of our chimney. He noticed immediately that the stove we had on order may not be the best choice and was kind enough to get on the line with the local stove shop and talk through our options and ultimately help recommend a more appropriate venting type for the same model of stove. With his help we were able to re-order the more appropriate solution early in the process. Just a great eye for detail. Could have been a more problematic install otherwise. He followed up promptly with an estimate.When the stove arrived a few weeks later we scheduled Bill and his colleagues to come out and execute their work. And the work was excellent. The masons did a fantastic job creating a backdrop for our stove. The brick backdrop was definitely more expensive than other solutions considered (durock backdrop) but absolutely worth it in terms of looks. Lining and capping the chimney went without a hitch as did connecting the liner to the new stove. All in all a great experience from start to finish. The crew showed up when scheduled, worked well and efficiently, were very friendly and cleaned up the work area when finished.Our new stove install was completed as the cold weather started easing. We can't wait to really enjoy our new stove this upcoming winter. <br />
