Wonderful professional experience with Martin. He was easy and friendly to work with- everything happened as planned, on time, and with professional results I am happy with. This was my first remodel and martin gave me options and used his experience to advise on many decisions, with no pressure to do something one way or the other. He was always available to stop by or get on the phone. He cares about his work, and I will 100% use him again.

I own a 100 year old apartment building in Chicago and A & M Remodeling helped me out when I first took posession in 2013. They did a fantastic tiling job in a bathroom - floor (1" hex) and shower wall (standard subway), and replaced plaster walls with new drwyall in a kitchen. It all turned out great. Over the years I have recommended this company to family and friends and everyone thanks me profusely. This year A & M fixed the main stairwell in my building entryway and did an amazing tile job in the building foyer. Areas of the floor were like a roller coaster, completely uneven due to settling. My tenants and I are all so excited about the results of this project. Beautiful work, done on time, cost effective, and completed with care. Pleasant and polite crew, too. All good!

The quality of work that A&M Remodeling does is outstanding.

Terrible experience. Very stressful. Don't use this company if you want quality work and a competent contractor. We had to inspect the work daily and it frequently needed to be redone. For example, cabinets were ordered and installed that didn't fit the appliances that had been purchased months earlier (and I also ended up needing to return and rebuy appliances, more than once, because the contractor didn't check the specs and installation manuals I provided upon purchase), both closet doors fell off the hinges the first time we tried to use them, and wires were left exposed in the electric sauna (its installation cost $3,000). On his way out he told my partner to take a sauna; he hadn't inspected, apparently, because it wasn't working, among many, many other problems we were left to discover and deal with. At the end we retained $1,600 (had already paid about $90,000). We said we'd pay the final balance when the doors, sauna repair and hook-up, and other unfinished work was done. The contractor refused. Now we are stuck hiring others to finish all this, which will cost us more in $ and time. And we will still be left with some shoddy work that can't be corrected. Avoid, is my advice.

A&M remodeling did a great job painting and doing some miscellaneous upgrading in my home. Martin and his crew are very competent, thorough and cleaned up after every job. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for totally reliable interior remodeling. I’ll be using them when I have another project.
