I hired AMS Landscaping in March, 2013. They charged me $240 for an initial cleanup, then $90/mo thereafter. From the beginning, there were problems. Scheduling inconsistencies, half-done work, too few employees to do a thorough job. While Eli was always very responsive, ultimately nothing changed. <br /> I noticed the crew had only raked half the gravel during a visit, leaving unsightly holes where they'd used a shovel to dig out weeds. I was told that, since the crews only had a certain amount of time at each property, they only trimmed half the trees and raked half the gravel each visit. My problem, of course, is that I?m not paying for half a service. I?m paying for monthly landscaping maintenance, as described above. <br /> I was charged several times to bury the irrigation drip lines, even though they were pulled up by the crew?s rakes. I paid them $400 to have all the drip lines buried deeper, but the crew still pulled them up and refused to rebury them. Yes, my puppy pulled up some of them. But she?s been gone for the past half year, and the lines are still being dragged up by the rakes. <br /> For December, 2013?s service, the crew was here for a total of 23 minutes, according to my security system. None of the exposed watering hoses were reburied. None of the backyard trees were trimmed. Trash was not picked up. There was a major leak in the backyard by a tree; no mention of this was made to me, nor was it fixed. <br /> For January?s service, the crew arrived at 10:55am and departed at 11:44 - 49 minutes on site. There were only 2 men. Two plants by the front door were trimmed. Other than that, no bushes or trees were shaped or trimmed. <br /> Two things broke the camel?s back for me. One, a storm took down one of our palo verde trees. Eli told me they could remove the tree for $500. Instead of completely removing the tree, the crew left an unsightly stump. When I asked when the crew would come back to finish the job, I was told the price was only for the tree, and that it would be an additional $150 if I wanted the tree stump removed. This was never made clear to me during the bidding process. Also, there were a few logs next to the palo verde. The crew literally had to step over them to remove the palo verde. I asked if they could remove those logs at the same time, but was told it would be an additional $200 to do this. <br /> Two, our tree branches encroached over the wall into our neighbor?s property. He cut them back and dumped the branches onto our property. I expected the crew to realize this was done because they weren?t trimming the trees back to 8?. In fact, when I cleaned up the dog poop, I was bent over and the branches were grabbing my hair - I am 5?2?. Anyway, the crew did not remove the branches, and I got an email from Eli stating that they would remove the branches for $60 ? almost the cost of an entire service, for a problem they caused by not doing a thorough maintenance of the property. <br /> My Mexican Bird of Paradise was hacked apart two months in a row, and is now dying. My bushes are lopsided. There are weeds everywhere. Overall, the company shows no pride in workmanship or adherence to any standards. Very disappointed in them. <br />

As usual it went very well.  They are on time, professional and complete the job very efficiently.  They do not waste any time getting the job done but it is done well.  If I have any special requests or issues and email them to the owner, I always receive a quick response.

They do a terrific job. I also contracted them to do my landscape lighting in my front yard. It looks beautiful. They really pay attention to detail.

I am so impressed with everyone I have come in contact with! We began the relationship when I had a very bad experience with a landscaper recommended by a neighbor. Eli worked his schedule around mine and provided us with a detailed and professional bid. Due to being burned before, I sent numerous emails and Eli patiently answered every one in detail. <br /> First, the irrigation specialist came out and redid all the work done incorrectly by our previous contractor.He explained everything in detail. His attention to detail and knowledge of native plantings is saving us on our water bill!...and or plants are happy. <br /> The men that now come twice a month are hard workers, very polite and respectful. The foreman explains everything he has done to me and is obviously very proud of his labors. It is now obvious, in a good way, that my landscapers have come! <br /> I couldn't recommend this company highly enough! <br />

Excellent and professional work from this company.  They estimated two hours to remove 3 lantanas, cleanup all weeds and remove one other plant.  They also trimmed my trees, and remaining bushes.  They were done within the time frame they stated. <br />

I used them for six months and paid them monthly. I was expecting to have my lawn fertilized and I had to remind them to do the fertilizing. By the time I let them go the grass was almost dead. I was watering it the same way as I always watered it so I don't think he was doing the fertilizing properly. He either used the wrong fertilizer or did not fertilize. It was basically turning brown. I stopped using him and started doing it myself and it bounced back. They did a pretty good job on everything else. They showed up on time, cleaned up and took care of a couple of bushes and they did a fairly good job overall. The price was high.

Excellent. I had bad experiences with many other landscapers not returning calls, not showing up when promised, etc. None even got to the point of doing any work. AMS was very responsive to my calls and emails. Eli came out for the estimate when he said he would and got me a written estimate very promptly. The crews showed up on time and they were very friendly and spoke English so I could tell them what I wanted done. They did a great job on the trimming and clean-up. The sprinkler guy replaced a $20 part and got my sprinkler working again. Others had told me over the phone they would have to dig up the pipes and that it would cost hundreds (if not thousands). The overall price was a little higher than I think I could've gotten elsewhere, but the level of service more than made up for it. I was extremely happy with AMS and will definitely use them again.

The best thing about their service is I have yet to notice them. I just enjoy the property.
