Obnoxious service. Never got the job done. Said that it would cost several thousand to fix and would not start work unless paid in full, upfront. Said in the alternative that we needed a new unit that would cost around $20,000. Amtech has an F rating from the Better Business Bureau with complains that it is a scam. You should avoid this company.

Very well. Arik’s team performed everything he said they would. The technicians were polite, efficient, creative. They were like craftsmen, installing the equipment with precision. They were careful not to create a mess. Amtech provides a very professional service all around from estimation installation and billing.

I recommend Amtech to whoever needs work done in their homes. They were clean and professional from start to finish. They did a wonderful job installing ductless units in my parents house. Arik and his workers were a pleasure to do business with.

Amtech is the best AC installation around! They are clean, reliable and very professional! They installed 3 units in one day and everything went perfect! They cleaned up and left my house spotless. I recommended them to my family who will be using them also next week. I only have great things to say about this company and recommend them to everyone

WARNING!!! Arik is a scam artist.... DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! Arik tried to make me buy a new unit at the cost of $20,000 when a new unit only costs the best part of $5,000 He didn't even check my unit and placed a Super Boost SPP8E into it and charged me $374 for this part which only cost $31 and charged me $390 to install it. 24 hours after he installed this part my whole unit broke down and now I need to install a new unit due to what he did. He also over charged for the amount of freon he added to my unit by 2 pounds at the cost of $150 per lbs as per a 2nd and 3rd techs opinion. He is ripping people off . Keep clear of him. I asked how he can justify charging so much and his answer is that he has 35 years in the business and got very offensive and argumentative. I have reported him to the BBB to put a stop to his thievery.

I was looking for a trustworthy HVAC service company and Arik/Amtech delivered. Arik was very transparent about pricing over the phone and he arrived at the appointment very promptly. I have a Rheem HVAC system that had a low voltage shorting issue. Arik ran a thorough diagnosis and identified the source of the problem. He replaced the malfunctioning parts and wires, and got my system up and running again. Will definitely recommend and hire again.

Julian was wonderful. He called within an hour of looking for someone and came by the following day. He checked the furnace and was able to fix it within the first 15 minutes. He stayed for a little while to make sure the pipes were warming up. Would definitely recommend Julian.

very well: arik was extremely responsive & quickly arranged the coi to comply with my bldg's rules, arrived as promised, kept me informed of the problem & his rec for repair..within 3 hrs my AC was running smoothly. Courteous, respectful, professional.

Arik from Amtech came to fix a leak in the pressure release valve and ended up spending over $2k replacing parts and the heat was still not working right. When I called to tell him it was still not working right he insisted that it was even though it was making a loud running water noise. He ends up yelling at me demanding payment even though it was only 24 hrs since he came to fix and it was still not working. I ended up paying him but then got a second opinion. Apparently Arik did not replace with the correct parts. The parts he used could not handle the multiple stories of the building. Those new parts now need to be replaced. I want to give him the benefit of the doubt and not assume that he made the error on purpose. However that just leads me to believe that he not have the level of expertise to service a boiler in a multi story building. Either way, I would never recommend him again to anyone. Also demanding payment for a system that is not functioning properly is beyond unprofessional. I should not have paid him but he was so belligerent I did not know what he would do. Lesson learned.

I can’t say anything bad at all.. If I do have to say something, it is that Mr. E came through.. I mean really came through.. From the beginning til the end.. My furnace broke for the third time in the middle of the night, early morning, in this very cold season. It was finally time to say goodbye. One reason I chose Amtech Air Conditioning, Heating and Plumbing is that they are 24/7 and that’s a plus.. Mr. E arrived in good time and was kind, very respectful and communicated very well.. Him and his crew.. What made it hands down for me is that Mr. E without question thought of my kids (my 2 little boys) and kept us warm until everything was checked out, fixed and replaced without added cost. Which I am truly truly grateful for. He got added points for recognizing and acknowledging my religion and took that into account.. And of course, it puts me at ease when Mr. E and his crew do recognize the times we are living in these days and always wore their masks. Amtech I’ll see you at our next check up :-)

Arik is absolutely AWESOME! and I have a healthy fear that this review will not do Arik justice. Immediately upon speaking with him, and meeting him, you will find that he is the kindest, and the most personable individual you will meet. It doesn't end there he is HIGHLY SKILLED he knows his job, he has mastered his craft, and he doesn't waste time. He is responsive and reasonable in every aspect of his business dealings. In short, I give Arik 5-Stars across the board....hire him!

Excellent very professional, informative, and friendly

Simply put, Arik is a rock star. He called within minutes of my inquiry to find a plumber/ heating specialist on Angie's list and went the extra mile to help me. I was under a very tight timeline to repair the heating system within 24 hours because we were closing on our house in 48 hours. He went over right away and assessed the problem. The stakes were high because we could not sell our house unless the problem was fixed and the work done perfectly. Arik and his crew met that challenge. Excellent work. Timely response. Fair price. And he stands by his work. Note that this was a family house that I was selling on Long Island. I live in California so everything I did to find him and coordinate with him was long distance. I felt right away I could trust him and that he was giving me a fair and accurate assessment of the problem, and the best solution. It doesn't get any better than that. I, and my family, are greatly appreciative of Arik/ Amtech for delivering the goods exactly as we needed.

Very well, Aric called to confirm he was coming. HE was able to diagnose the problem right away. I found him very reliable and honest and would record mend him.

Great work, done as scheduled, no issues, very professional and clean. They made it easy to do business, answered each time I called or texted. Highly recommended, these guys are pros.

I contacted the company and Eric, the owner was very professiona He told me it would be 175 to show up to my house and if I used him it would be included in the price. I made some other calls and found some that were 79 for maintenance. He told me that anyone can do that and gave me some questions that I should ask them. He told me that they would come to my house and then want me to do things that I probably don’t’ need and then draw me in with cheap prices up front. I believed him. My husband dealt with the worker today so I don’t’ know his name but wanted to get this done ASAP. According to my husband he was very professional and did the work in a timely fashion. Eric also told me what to do to so that I can clean it myself every year and only have to call him every 3 yrs. The best thing that I liked was that about 2hrs after the job was done he called to see how everything went and were we happy. That is true customer service. I have his number saved in my contacts because I will use again.

Amtech is the best! I was in despair because the HVAC service that I have contracted for years told me that they couldn’t help me. I searched online & Angie’s introduced me to Eric of Amtech. He came the same day, evaluated my AC issue that required removal & return of my equipment, and he had the AC working early the next day! I will be using Amtech from now on for cooling/heating and for the other services that Amtech provides. Eric will be my first call for service. Amtech provides services promptly & with efficiency. boiler tune up

The problem was solved very quickly - a start up piece / kit was replaced. 15 minutes work The price seemed high. Labor 370 and the part 195. Yet, not knowing better and in a heatwave with 2 children we paid it. 3 days later AC stopped working. We called - only to get a reply we would have to pay for the visit. We refused and called someone else. When we showed a receipt from Amtech to the new repairman, we were told the price was way too high and he wishes to charge that money. Also a wire was loose and that is why the AC stopped working 3 days after Amtech came to fix it.

Could not have gone better. The guy came on time and addressed the leak I was having from one of my units that leaked on to my ceiling below. It was obvious he knew what he was doing. So I asked him if he had to time to look at the another issue I have when I turn on the a/c on another unit. The heat goes on at the same time as the AC. 2 mechanics previously had no clue and the other told me just detach this wire every Summer. He had a solution right away. Very happy with my experience.

My experience with Amtech was great. The technician was right on time and very punctual. He explained the issues to me in a way that I could understand them. I would definitely recommend Amtech if you have an air conditioning or a heating issue.

Installation was seamless and the price was within my budget. The two men came in, removed the old water heater and installed a new one while I worked from home.
