This is the second time we have used A National Electric. The first time was for installation of 3 ceiling fans and this most recent time was to replace our pool pump timer. Nick is very courteous, professional, and was a pleasure to deal with. He came out the same day we called and arrived promptly at the scheduled time. The price to install the new timer was very fair and the quality of work was excellent. We will definitely call Nick again for any future electrical needs.

My panel had issues with 2 breakers melting. Nick was able to come the following day, replace the entire panel/breakers and completed the job within a couple of hours. He was very personable and the job was done right. He cleaned up and was on his way.

The workers were hard-working, competent and courteous. It was a pleasure having them come to the house to complete the work we'd put off for far too long. The discount coupon from Angie's List made this work much more affordable for us.

They did a good job on the outlets. I had to call them back to fix the wobbly fan. They finally showed up after a bad review and fixed it. Now everything is in working order.

Please see previous review. As bad has now become horrible. I DO NOT want Nick, the electrician calling me again. He is rude, and aggressive. I DO NOT want him on my property again. He kept asking me what I wanted. He kept telling me that it was unfair to ask for a refund through the service guarantee. He kept saying, "I did the work". He also made reference to "illegal aliens" doing electrical work in South Florida and that it is done poorly. My best friend, undocumented, named his son after me. An honest, hard working laborer. The term Alien is oppressive and demeaning. The day he was here his helper (not sure if he is licensed) made a comment to me that I chose to ignore, so they would leave. There is an empty lot behind my house and a new townhouse development is being built there. A discussion began about the amount that prices would increase in the area. The man then said to me, "It will only be Indians that can afford the houses. I don't know any white people that can afford that. It will be Indians because they don't work and just get money from casinos". So... I am half Cherokee. I work, I am educated, and I get no money from any casino or my tribe. I have had two phone calls with this man. Both have been bullying from his side. He raises his voice and tries to bully people into accepting what he wants. He badmouths Angies List, saying they take 40% of what he makes and people shouldn't expect the work for 60% of the price. If he doesn't want to pay you guys your 40% he should not sue your services. I agree 40% is high, but it is his choice to use you. The point he makes is he did the work. He installed a line for a jacuzzi, but... 1. He installed one electrical line that other electricians have quoted at three to four hours of work time, and he took two men and what he claims is six hours (12 work hours). 2. The deal was for 8 hours of work. I had a list of other work to do in what we expected would be the remaining several hours. None of it was done. 3. He yelled at me tonight for saying I came into my house wondering if they were able to do the work when they first arrived. But, when they arrived he walked around my house and yard, and seemed lost. I literally walked inside and told my husband and guests that I was worried he was on something because of the way he acted. Then, at one point my well pump came on. I asked them what they did to ahve it come on, and they told me they had no idea. 4. Another time the helper was looking for something. I asked him did he realize there was another breaker in the utility room. I asked, more incredulous, than serious. He responded, "How would I have known".I answered, "The big huge cable at the bottom of the panel that runs out, immediately through and to the other side of the wall, would show it was there. Literally, right on the other side of the wall." 5. When they were here the agreement was I would go to Home Depot to buy whatever parts were necessary. Instead, he told me he was going to Home Depot to buy parts. He stated since it was raining he wouldn't charge me for his time in Home Depot, as he couldn't work anyway. Tonight, when I asked again for the receipts from Home Depot (he wouldn't give them to me when he charged the extra money) he told me he never went to Home Depot. But instead, he had to go to his supplier because it was a GFI breaker (although I can buy that even on Amazon so not a unique item). He then stated he has two storage units full of supplies that he needed to go to for the parts. No receipts. As an Electrician, if you know you are going to install a 220 jacuzzi, and were told the distance from the jacuzzi to the house and then to the box, you should know what parts to bring. 6. With me, and in the reviews I have now read, he often states that two electricians can do double the work and paying for eight hours is the same as paying for four hours with two of them. Maybe this would be true if the two could be working at the same time. However, if it is just a job for one, it is a waste of man hours and money. I want no further communication from this man. I am not aggressive, and do not tolerate racist remarks.

"This is absolute nonsense, when we handed invoice for 2 hours additional labor and material used to install members hot tub 100' from electrical service. Member stated he had a doctorate and did not make this kind of money. He also stated that he had received a quote for $950.00 from another electrician. My electrician and I work our butts off to install hot tub for this member and were polite and respectful to member. My company does electrical service for all types of people from all types of cultures and treat all my customers the way we would like to be treated. A National Electric Svc has the reviews to back up the way we treat our customers with respect. When member was texting me "I kept texts" he kept on insisting he was not drunk? I texted back "Live and let live" I don't judge my customers, that I lived in S. Florida all my life and have worked for them all. We bought our material from a electrical supply house were I have a account, you can't buy a 2 pole 50 amp GFI breaker from Home Depot and did not charge for one hour to pick up material, I had to pay my electrician for a 8 hour day. Member couldn't understand how we could of used 400' of wire? I explained their were 4 wires in pvc conduit, 2 hots, 1 neutral and ground wire, 100' each equaled 400'."

My Angies List purchase was a waste. He came with only himself and couldn't do the work, but since he took nearly 1.5 hours to figure out he couldn't do it, I was out the leverage. When he came back with another guy he spent a lot of time talking on the clock...but he just kept saying how he got did primarily solar and just got a big contract so he didnt have to do residential anymore because it wasn't his specialty!

"Kitchen was remodeled by previous owners. Microwave outlet was tied into lighting circuit and tripping circuit breaker . Middle of summer with attic temperature reaching 130 degrees. I crawled into small attic to find where microwave was tied to lights. I disassembled and ran a separate circuit to panel in the garage. I stayed to long in the attic heat and recovered my self from heat exhaustion In the garage. My heart was pulpatating but I was able get myself under control. Myself and another electrician Spent time troubleshooting another outlet in kitchen that had never worked. We open outlets in dinning room and living room to determine where circuit was run. We found resolved and customer outlet was fixed. Scope of work was more than a one man Angie's big deal. We conversed with owner to keep her posted in what We were doing and the troubleshooting of problem to solve electrical issue's."

After purchasing I contacted and emailed stating that I had quite a few other electrical items I was hoping to have done on the same day and wanted both a quote in advance and a time slot to get everything done. He did call right away and set up a time to install the surge protection but never got back to me on the price of the other items until after he was done with the install. Since he didn't have time he left without doing anything else on the list. Since time is precious I haven't set up another appointment for anything else.
