We had pest and ant problems in a 1930’s home we recently purchased. It had been vacant for some time. Part of the solution was to redo the crawl space. Andy Construction gave us a very reasonable quote for removing what was there and installing the vapor barriers, replacing spotty floor insulation, sealing cracks and new access doors. The crew was courteous, on time, and left no mess. We haven’t seen a mouse since and the ants are getting under control. Our floors and home are so much warmer! Outstanding work and value. Andy was quick to respond and came out the next day to assess what we needed to do to improve the drainage in our crawlspace. The home is built on a sloped lot. Andy suggested a full perimeter drain install around the foundation. The work also included complete replacement of the vapor barrier. All work was performed efficiently and Andy backed it up with a lifetime warranty. I couldn't be happier with the end result and would highly recommend Andy and his crew.

Andy's team first helped us to trouble shoot the problem and got us to a level of understanding that we had a pretty major job to do but it would be done right. We ultimately received three bids and all of them had similar solution suggestions. What made us choose Andy was a) the price was better, b) he was very knowledgeable and c) he took an iterative approach. He knew that if we could avoid this much disruption in our home by doing something less major, we would. But after doing some test patches, ultimately it was clear that we had to do the full replacement. Andy was the most understanding of our desire to try to save the tiled bathroom. Luckily his team was able to navigate around it to tie into the sump pump which saved us the bathroom floor replacement. His team of two guys spent the week here and they were timely, friendly, communicative and did a great job. We feel confident in the work and would recommend Andy to anyone facing this major issue.

First and foremost, I love Andy's integrity and problem-solving aptitude. I had initially thought/assumed it was drainage issue. I contacted Andy Construction through referral from a real estate agent. Andy came by to take a look of the situation situation, and gave me two options to choose from: (1) dig drench on the outside below the deck to direct storm-drain water to the street. But he couldn't guarantee that would fix the issue, and that cost was $600. OR (2) Install French-drain in the entry-foyer to direct water to the street, and that cost was going to be $2000. With already mounting expenses on other fixes and improvements, I decided to go with Option #1 for $600. This was done in summer and there was no rain to verify if the issue was fixed until recently. With a few days of consistent rain in late September, I saw that the water was still coming in. So I called Andy to come and install the French-drain. Andy asked me a few questions over the phone, and told me that he suspected the problem wasn't as serious as what I thought. He came by with one crew member, I agreed to have it cut open 2-ft drywall, and saw that in the corner, there was a small pile of sand/soil. I asked them to open the entire wall, and was confirmed that there was 2 areas of leaks - 1 was a hole on the top, another leak was through rotting nail drill onto the 2x4 for the deck fence outside above. Andy and his crew repaired the concrete hole, and advised me to repair the rotting nail drill from the deck-level. This solution costed me $350 instead of $2K, and I thank Andy for his knowledge in diagnosing the issue and the integrity to charge accordingly. Andy Construction is definitely my go-to contractor for all drainage and water leak issues!

Well. Three months later you cannot tell where the digging took place.

They came in and put plastic on the floor and kept the door closed as as much as possible thus not letting heat out of the house. All the work after went smoothly i.e. quick and neat. Everytime I had a question, Andy stopped and answered every concern we had. He also guaranteed the water clogging wont happen and asked us to contact him on direct line if ever we have a problem. At the end, on request, he also explained to us where and how things work and where the water will go in future. Time was scheduled at 10 am. Andy and his crew came 1.5 hours earlier than the expected time without prior information which caused me to get up and rush to the door half awake. That was the only complain I had.

Andy and his crew were timely, courteous and professional. His solution worked exactly as he described it would. Problem solved.

The team was right here then wen needed them. He came out immediately and the performed the work under difficult situations due to weather. The got it done within 2-3 days. They were honest, prompt. I think very reasonably priced for the work performed. They were very easy to work with and reliable.

Andy responded to my request for a bid within 24 hours of contact, then came out to review the job at a date and time that was very convenient for my schedule. He gave me an estimate and was willing to negotiate a bit. He then scheduled the work to be done just a few days later. The work was completed within the time frame he gave me, and looked exactly as he had described it would look. This was important because the repair is very visible as it was in the garage of my split level home. He followed up after the work was complete to ensure I was satisfied. He cleaned up after all the work was done, and his communication throughout the entire process was fantastic - clear, timely, and professional.  I would not hesitate to hire him for any other work and enthusiastically recommend him to others. I couldn't be happier!

Job went great.  Andy is friendly, professional, reliable and honest (e.g. he didn't push expanded scope of french drains, etc--though it would be difficult for the average homeowner to know if that's not needed). I would definitely call him again if the need arose.

The Zoeller sump pump in our basement had stopped working during a torrential storm, right before the holidays.  I had 3 different plumbers/contractors come to provide estimates.   <br />   <br /> Other plumbing repair companies wanted to redesign the entire system for $1500 or couldn't get us scheduled for 30 days.  Andy and his crew were very responsive. <br /> Andy addressed the issue - a broken pump - and did not try to coerce me into more work than was necessary.  HIs team quickly installed the sump pump, installed a new check valve, and hauled away the old material.  The system works beautifully and much quieter than before. <br /> We will definitely contact Andy in the future and we highly recommend him. <br /> Thank you! <br />

Andy and his team are punctual and friendly. Andy is honest. He provided an extensive list of references. They gave him high praise. <br /> His bid was higher than others but I'm glad I chose him.
