They did an excellent job. They were here on time. They were careful. The price was what we've agreed on. We had no problems. They moved plants, they put everything back. it was wonderful. We had 5 bids and they were second from the lowest, but I like the presentation. They gave us a year guarantee. They were terrific

It was a big undertaking and of course there was a lot involved so it was a little crazy. Andy was very responsive when I expressed some concerns about issues, which were soon resolved.

Done on time. little damage to tile roof.

Came within the appointed time, work to be done was explained and completed. Clean and professional. Have used prior and will use again.

They were very friendly, easy to work with and thorough. I needed to sign a few waivers, and had to get my tenant to sign as well. Their price was reasonable. They ask that you attend a "seminar" at which time they go over everything you need to know to prepare your house for tenting. I couldn't go (and I didn't want to ask my tenant to go) so they nicely told me everything I would need over the phone.

Don came out on time and did an excellent job of inspecting the house outside, under the house and in the attic. He was very helpful and assisted in removing one board hanging in the garage that evidently had termites in it.

Service was excellent. Andy's was able to accommodate a last-minute schedule change and was quite responsive to our needs. The foreman answered all our questions. The crew obviously was experienced, and they were as careful as possible with our plants near the house.

I do not recommend using Andy’s Termite and Pest Control for whole house fumigation. These were the issues encountered after work completion: 1. Four fortnight lily plants are now dead. 2. One hibiscus plant almost died. 3. They did not clean up the termite droppings after work completion from the garage and exterior/interior portions of the house. 4. Washing machine now has paint scraped off the top. 5. Adhesive used for the tenting adhered to the cinder block walls leaving markings. 6. Telephone calls are not returned. Plants: Don, the inspector from Andy’s, said the plants were not an issue and they would be able to tent around the plants. Two other companies that also provided termite inspection/estimates said the same thing. When we had our house fumigated about 20 years ago, tenting around the plants was not an issue. In preparation for the fumigation, I also cut back further the plants and trees around the house and garage. This item is still open. Termite droppings: Don indicated they clean up the droppings so that any later inspections would not confuse the old droppings for new droppings. This was not done after job completion and another appointment had to be arranged for someone (Simon) to come out and clean up the house and garage termite droppings. This item is closed. Washing machine: There were no markings before the fumigation, only after. Simon brought paint, but it was for wood (cabinets), as he was told, and not for appliances. He suggested getting touch-up paint and getting reimbursed from Andy’s and to speak with Jean (the person I have been in contact with at Andy’s) about this. Jean stated there is no way to determine if it is their fault. My opinion is that Andy’s tried to open the window over the washer and scraped it. This item is still open. Cinder block walls: Simon tried to remove adhesive from one of the affected areas with Simply Green. Area needed to dry so Simon was not able to stay. Area still has most of the adhesive on the wall. This item is still open. Telephone calls not returned: The fumigation manager (Lupe) was to call me after I noticed the fortnight lilies started to die (9/15). He did not call me. I spoke with Jean who was going to remind him. I still haven’t received a call from him. Jean indicated she did remind him, apologized, and said he has been busy. On our last conversation (10/05/16), Jean indicated she will brief Andy on the open items and either she or Andy will call me. It is now 10/13/16 and I am still waiting for the call. This item is still open. Per my notes, dates of telephone correspondence with Andy’s has been 9/14, 9/15 (email with photo attachments), 9/21, 9/23 (not returned), 9/28 and 10/05.

Items we left out in house were double bagged. Crew left at 10:00 am. <br /> Gas introduced. <br /> Fans used to circulate fumigation gas <br /> <br /> Sept 14 <br /> Fans used to remove gas <br /> <br /> Sept 15 <br /> <br /> Tent removed, and crews checked for air to be pure. <br /> OK to enter at 9:00 am <br /> <br /> I feel good about the entire operation.

Andy's sent a knowledgeable person that was able to answer all of our concerns about the fumigation process. We were pleased to hear that all the people that would be coming to our home would be employees that work for them and not just people they hire off the streets for that day. They also don't contract anyone else to do some of the work, they do everything themselves. About a week before the fumigation they bring you into their office to go over the procedure and show you how to bag food and meds. They also answer any other questions that you have. The fumigation went very smoothly and we are very pleased with the service they provided.

An appointment was made with Don, the inspector, who showed up on time and inspected the house and garage. Don was very easy to work with and found termites in various locations around the house and garage but found minimal wood damage. After setting a date for the whole house fumigation, the fumigation crew arrived as scheduled and tented the house and garage. They even pulled out some of the plants that were close to the house and would have been crushed by the tarp so I could transplant them. There was minimal plant damage due to the fumigation. I would recommend Andy's Termites & Pest Control for anyone with a termite problem. <br />

Andy's Termites performed the termite inspection and treatment when I bought a house in Redondo Beach in December 2014. In July, I noticed termite droppings so called Andy's thinking additional treatment would be covered within one year, but I was wrong. Andy's would not cover the treatment under warranty, citing two reasons:  <br /> <ol> <li>1. They said that the seller and I had rejected their primary recommendation of fumigation in favor of their secondary recommendation for spot treatment. Nevermind the fact that fumigation wasn't legally possible unless the neighboring house agreed to be tented too (because the two homes have an adjoinment), and the neighbors wouldn't cooperate.</li> <li></li> <li>2. Andy's said the activity I saw in July was a new infestation, and that their warranty only covers areas previously treated, not the entire property. </li> </ol> <br /> After receiving quotes from several termite companies, I've learned a few things. <br /> <ul> <li>First, all termite companies are required by law to list fumigation as a primary recommendation, whether or not they specialize in it. Some subcontract this service if this the option you choose. </li> <li>I've also learned that warranties vary quite a bit across companies. Warranties vary between 1-3 years. Some guarantee the whole structure while others guarantee only the treated areas, thus excluding any new areas of infestation. </li> </ul> <br /> Among the quotes I received in July, Andy's was on the low end, but it seems you get what you pay for. So read the fine print. Because of the holes in their guarantee, I chose not to go with Andy's for subsequent treatment. <br />

It went very well. Everyone is very professional and friendly. I have recommended them to my neighbors and I would definitely use them again. They are very knowledgable. <br />

Don arrive on schedule, listened to what i wanted inspected, allowed me to follow him around some as well as leave him alone.  Don ended with a verbal report on his findings and explained how I'd receive the official report via email the following week.  I received the report via email as promised on Wednesday, after the inspection was done the previous Friday. <br />

<p>The owner, Andy, seemed very knowledgeable so we went with his company.  Dave came out to do the spot spraying.  He did not realize I had requested he also fill the holes and paint them.  I paid an additional $50 for this service.  Dave was an unpleasant fellow.  He had hurt his back and that was part of the reason for him being grumpy.  He did not do a satisfactory job in filling two holes.  One hole cracked  and one hole was not filled.   I called the office to have someone else return to fix the problems.  Because Dave had a bad back, Simon sprayed the attic.  Simon returned a couple of weeks later to finish the job.  Simon did a satisfactory job repairing the holes but he spilled paint on our brick driveway and didn't clean it up.  We had to use turpentine to scrub the paint off the bricks.</p> <p>I spoke with Andy about Dave's bad attitude and his explanation was my job was so small that there was hardly any profit..  He also said sometimes Dave is grumpy (even without a back problem).</p> <p>Andy may want to charge more so there are no excuses for a bad job.  I would have paid more to have the job done correctly the first time.</p> <p><br /></p>
