The work was performed on time (though it took long that estimated due to add on work); the crew was hard working, professional and cleanup each day, gave me a chance to practice Spanish!
The add on work was fairly priced and done in a timely manor.
Given the need to do some creative problem solving (the replacement deck was on a 150 year old log cabin, so nothing was standard) and that this was on a weekend cabin so I was not there all the time, I would have no reservations in recommending this contractor for future work.

While work performed was completed a few observations: 1. Did the "Angie's deal" and certainly expected to pay more, however I was being charged not only for labor for repair but was also being charged for supervisors time while he was on site and discussing fix actions with me. This was pretty much the cost of the "Angie's deal" which seems to negate any "deal". Certainly makes me wonder if any of these deals have any merit and definitely gives pause before considering any future business via the "deals" 2. Contractor uses Bondo to repair wood rot which is not ideal to repair in WOOD as Bondo does not expand and contract like wood, there are wood filler products that are specifically for repairing / filling wood rot repairs. I suspect they use Bondo because it is the cheapest product. 3. While the work was completed the contractor IMO was more interested in how much $ they can get out of the job, labor hours were excessive for the job and as mentioned additional charges for supervisor when on site (at twice the "labor rate" of workers) is absurd. I will not use this contractor again nor would I recommend them to anyone. My neighbor in fact asked me about the job as they had some work needed and informed them of these items and certainly not recommend.
"I can’t tell you how shocked and dismayed I was when I read this review. I sure wish you had expressed your opinion and/or questions to me at the time. I was under the impression from all of our interactions that you were very pleased with everything. I am responding to each of the points that you wrote in your review: 1. You were not charged more for my time discussing the project either before it started or for the other three times I was at your home checking up. After our second meeting, when it became apparent and you approved the additional work needed to do the job properly, I shopped and made the deliveries myself so that the workers could continue. I did not charge double for this time. (We also shop for materials and try our best to come prepared for each job before we even start. We never charge for this.) 2. We always use materials that will give us the best and longest lasting result. We guarantee our work and it would not make monetary sense for us to do otherwise. 3. Again, you were not charged anywhere for twice the labor rate. I am not sure how you figured this. We enjoyed working with you and doing the work at your home. I would love to discuss with you how we can make our services better for our clients. NOTE: We would be happy to discuss this project with any future and/or potential client."

I am more than pleased! I was in a rush to get work done, and Angel Home Enterprses stepped in and completed more than I had planned, but certainly needed. Ricardo was my guy for two days and he did a great job. I will use them again in the Spring.
The work done was very professional. The replaced windowsill looks better than I expected and the workmen took great precautions to leave the even space cleaner than they found it. I really appreciated this and was impressed with the quality of the craftsmanship.
I did have one challenge here. As I find always happens with Big Deals, there was much more work than the deal covered. In my case, removing a doorframe uncovered additional termite damage in the wall The problem was that I could not get them to give me a price for the additional work. Although I asked multiple times for an estimate on the work they planned to do (above what I'd already paid for), I ended up with a surprise bill when they were done that was more than I'd planned to spend. I believe the price was fair for the work they ended up doing, but I wasn't given the chance to approve it.
I believe this happened because the person apprising me of the costs and developments was not on site. Rather than talking with me, the workmen called their office (from inside my house) and the office called me. When I tried talking with the workmen they asked me to call the office. I think this unusual way of handling things caused a communication breakdown and resulted in the surprise bill.
The company did reduce the bill because I hadn't had a chance to approve it which was courteous. I would still encourage people to use this company because the work and workmen were great. Just make sure to get things in writing ahead of time.
"Thank you for your Review. Traffic in The Washington Metropolitan area can be surprisingly slow going. We misjudged the travel time significantly and have subsequently increased our driving time allowances when driving within the DC vicinity. We were embarrassed by this and very conscious of how this can affect your day. Again, thank you for your Review and the critical lesson it contains. It was a pleasure working with you."

Upon digging into the wood rot, they discovered the rot to be extensive and that the cost to replace two window sills would be
approximately $1100.00. I decided not to spend this amount of money to repair windows that are 37 years old. They will send
me an estimate of cost to replace the rotted windows with new ones. Although I am disappointed that the repair could not be
done for $149, they showed me the extent of the rot and what needed to be done to properly fix the problem. I am pleased with
their service, knowledge and professionalism. Based on my limited experience with Angel Home Enterprise, I recommend them.
Aivar did a stupendous job. I was only out of the bathroom for 8 days which was astonishing. He did a beautiful job on the floor tile, the repair of the existing walls and the installation of the vanity. He made suggestions which I never would have thought of. He cleaned up after the work on a daily basis which saved my sanity. He went over and above what any contractor has ever done for us in the 19 years we've lived there.

Aivar and his team are very professional, intelligent, punctual and easy to work with. Angel Home Enterprises was recommended to us by our realtor, and they certainly exceeded expectations. Aivar does a great job of laying out a free estimate and then laying out a detailed schedule for completion, which he sticks to rigorously. He did a great job of providing us with daily updates on how the work was going. He was very helpful and proactive when we had to make slight adjustments to our original plans as needed. My wife and I would highly recommend Angel Home Enterprises to anybody in need of home remodeling services.
