BUYER BEWARE! Compulsive liar and excuse maker, lacks integrity! He seems to operate the same way as Amore Pools guy who is now serving a 30 year prison sentence for taking peoples money and not finishing the work. We are going on 2 months of false promises and excuses on an incomplete job that the quoted price has been paid in full. Angel has had over $10k of our money for a month. We paid in full for drywall install(hanging and finishing) knockdown ceilings, full interior paint, and tile install for 3 bathrooms. Every part of this was labor only. All supplies were purchased by us in advanced and already inside the home. His labor prices were more than fair. We honored the prices he gave us and paid because he claimed he needed to make sure he could pay his guys upfront. I told him usually you pay people after they do the work but whatever. Perhaps he just doesn’t want to risk not getting paid by a client and not being able to pay his guys which is understandable. That is why we were ok paying up front. To this day, There is only one shower tile job that has been completed. The other one still has spacers in tiles and has been sitting like that over a month. The guy who tiled the completed shower actually called us wanting more money because Angel wasn’t paying him even though we paid Angel the price he quoted us IN FULL! The drywall still has not been completed. There’s still one bedroom and one bathroom that haven’t even been sanded. There’s still drywall sheets that are covering windowsills that need cut. There’s multiple areas throughout the rest of the house that need a second coat of mud and areas that weren’t sanded. Angel finally showed up to do the knockdown but skipped doing that bedroom that hasn’t been finished and skipped the two bathrooms. Angel claims the knockdown wasn’t included for the bathrooms. That makes no sense. When he quoted us to knockdown the house, it was for the whole house(minus the master suite side of the home that was already completed) he NEVER said the knockdown job didn’t include the bathrooms. Now, he claims “the knockdown didn’t include the bathrooms!” Again, that makes no sense! That’s him being lazy trying to get out of having to do work. His guys finally showed up and put primer on the walls but only did about 3/4 of the house. Our flooring guy, electrician and plumber have all been waiting for Angel to finish up so they can complete their jobs. After delaying those guys for over a month, we had the flooring guy and electrician come and start their work even though Angel wasn’t done. We can not wait any longer. The electrician came in and found multiple wires that had been damaged, many brand new cans that he hung were damaged due to Angels guys doing a terrible job cutting in those areas. There were also outlets that were covered by drywall that Angels guys didn’t bother cutting. Angel has only been to our house 1 time in the past 3 weeks. He keeps saying he’ll be there and then doesn’t show up. He has left a bunch of painting supplies at our home and it’s taking up space. I told him I was going to use his supplies to complete the job WE PAID HIM IN FULL TO DO! Angel is very unreliable and makes excuses for everything! I found other reviews that say the same things I’m saying and I could have written them myself. This is obviously a pattern for him. He’ll respond to this review with his excuses and lies and try to explain how he’s lost money on our job. He can only blame himself for that since we paid the price he gave us! The absolute most disgusting thing was when I told him we’ve paid him $10k and we expect him to show up, he replied by saying “not even close, you haven’t paid me anywhere close to $10k” Then I showed him the Zelle payment receipts that actually came to $10230.00 and he still denied we haven’t paid him anywhere close to $10k so clearly, he has no idea what he’s doing as far as running his business. He keeps saying he wants to get the job done but doesn’t show up. They’ve only showed up once in the past 3 weeks. Pathetic! Absolutely disgusting that someone will continue to lie his way out of doing a job he WAS PAID IN FULL TO DO! A complete lack of integrity! DO NOT HIRE ANGEL, he’ll take your money, make a mess of your house and abandon the job!

So many things went wrong on our project. There was delay after delay in our job--the crew rarely showed up on time, or some days, they didn't show at all. It took over a month to complete a job Angel said would be done in a week. Some of his crew had been diagnosed with Covid, which I realize created a problem. Angel told us if we paid the balance of our account, he'd hire additional help to finish on time. Against our better judgement we gave him the money, and the extra help never materialized. He had no incentive to finish the job in a timely manner. Two rooms were painted the wrong color--how that happened when the colors were written down, I don't know. Only one room was corrected. I was told the other could be re-painted for an additional $300, even though they were clearly at fault. Ceilings in two of the rooms were supposed to be painted, and they weren't completed until I pointed out the ceiling trays were different colors. In recently looking at our estimate, I also discovered we'd been overcharged. Angel told us he hadn't included two bedrooms in his quote, so I paid an additional $400. However, the estimate says "two coats throughout the whole house." I will say that even with paying the extra $400, the price for the work was fair, but there were several miscommunications like that. One day after the crew left, I noticed three cracked floor tiles in the area where they were working. I contacted Angel, and he said the tiles had already been cracked--he said he'd seen our movers drop a piece of furniture there. The movers had delivered our household goods weeks earlier, and we'd been living in the house, so I know the tiles weren't previously damaged. Accidents happen--the right thing to do it own up to it, not blame someone else. It's a shame that our overall experience was poor, because for the most part, the work was good. But the delay in completion, the mistakes and miscommunication caused so much stress for us that we can't recommend this company for a large job like ours.

Angel and his team did excellent work. My girlfriend was thrilled at how the ceilings looked after the popcorn was removed - it looked like a brand new ceiling. Angel was a pleasure to work with, and we will be using him again.

EXCEPTIONAL. Angel's team painted over 75% of my interior walls, 100% of my interior trim and doors, and 50% of my interior ceilings. Angel recommended the colors I ultimately decided on and it looks great! I'm totally impressed by the quality of the paint job his team performed and the very reasonable price charged. I will definitely be calling Angel again! Bottom line: Angel's Painting & Carpentry gets my ABSOLUTE STRONGEST POSSIBLE RECOMMENDATION!

Excellent! Angel responded to my inquiry in a timely fashion, came to house to scope out work and provide an estimate. We scheduled a time and the work was completed. Thanks Angel!

The paint crew worked methodically and cleaned up each day. The ceiling smooth out and paint came out great - it's a vaulted ceiling. Seven rooms were also painted. Drywall repair was done to smooth out areas that needed attention since towel racks and shelves were taken down. The job was on time and came out beautiful.
