In May of 2013, I hired Angel Water to replace my home's (natural gas) water heater. I was just forced to replace that heater, as the tank cracked and began leaking. Now, you may be thinking, "8 years isn't too bad, is it?" - The answer is Yes, it IS bad; especially given facts I've learned, while deciding on a replacement heater. I have to accept some portion of the blame, as I passively trusted that the AW staff had the knowledge, experience, and dedication to customer service needed to install a heater properly, to advise me on any service concerns, and to take care of me as a customer. They failed, on every count. Angel Water's Install team failed to see that my home is on a "closed" water supply system (IE; a "Back-Flow Preventer" is installed in the cold water supply line). A closed system dictates that an expansion tank must be installed to protect the water heater tank from thermal expansion. I wasn't warned about this, and no expansion tank was quoted, or installed. I asked Angel Water's Install team, how to replace the heater's anode rod (a removable part which protects the tank from corrosion, and wears out over time). I was told that I shouldn't try to disconnect the water lines, or to replace the anode rod myself. Also, that replacing the Anode rod would "probably never be required." I now know that disconnecting water lines and replacing the anode rod is EASY. And also; if you use a water softener, changing the anode rod is even MORE critical than usual. (1) My water softener sits within 1 foot of the heater. (2) I believe that Angel Water STARTED OUT as a water softener company. Again; I wasn't warned about the softener issue, and wasn't given ANY assistance by the installers. Over the years, there were several instances of water leaking from the heater's Temperature/Pressure Relief valve. Never a lot of water, but it happened at least twice per year, for the life of the heater. When I called Angel Water's Service Department to report the issue in the first year, I was told to (1) Replace the relief valve - Which I did, to no positive effect. (2) Remove more corrosive sediment from the tank, by draining and flushing the heater "more often" - I had already been doing this every 4 Months, so I switched to every 3 months. Again, to no positive effect. I now know that thermal expansion, without an expansion tank installed, will cause the relief valve to leak. So the AW Service Dept. couldn't even offer me any assistance, to fix issues caused by the AW Install team. SO, it took 8 years to write this review, but i stand by my rating of 1 star. If there was a way to give them NO stars, I'd do that instead.

It got off to an extremely rough start. I started off disappointed at some issues with the company. I understand it was a difficult installation, but my first impression certainly didn't leave a good taste in my mouth. HOWEVER - They worked very hard to make things right with me, which shows they really care about their customers. Their guy, Paul, went above and beyond to do an install for me. He was professional and I am extremely happy with his service. I watched him run pipe to near inaccessible locations.

The service itself went well. The technician was on time and friendly. The price was ridiculous. They charged me $500 to change some filters and clean and inspect a system they installed. There was a leak in the system they installed, so they fixed that. The technician was at my house for a little over an hour. Even if they charge $150 for labor, that means the filters were $350?!? no way. Every time they come to my house they try to hard sell me on a new water softener. I know it's old, but it works fine. They've been trying to sell me a new one for 8 years! I'll buy a new one when this one quits working. They constantly threaten that it's going to break and cause water to leak and backup. Stop with the hard sell. It seems like they have a monopoly on the market in the northwest burbs. They know this and jack up the prices accordingly.

The two different service people that came out to the house are very good and pleasant and the task at hand was done well. My husband didn't think we needed the services they were selling for future reference so we might not use them again.

Great, they were punctual and professional. Our water tastes great now!

It went well. Angel cleaned the filter, replaced the battery and confirmed that all PH was good for the cold and hot water.

Bill Slocum, Sales Representative, was very responsive in providing the estimate, answering our questions, scheduling the install and suggesting that we utilize one of their recommended plumbers, Ryan Quinlan, to install our new sink/faucet at the same time as the R/O system to save time. We were extremely pleased with Ryan's work installing the R/O system and our new sink/faucet. Bill Slocum followed up with us after the install to see if everything was done to our liking and we could not be happier with the job. Our water tastes great, out new sink/faucet is terrific and we estimate that we are saving about $1,600 per year in bottled water delivery.

It went wonderfully. Adam was able to come out to the house the next day, and replaced the tank in about an hour.

I called looking to get a reverse osmosis water system in my kitchen.  My sales agent was on time and was very knowledgeable.  Took the time to review my whole system and even suggested they connect the system to my fridge and to my sink which I did not know was possible.  Installer was was on-time and efficient.  My only complaint was that I need to have a hole drilled for the faucet.  Angel did not tell me when the granite company was arriving to drill the whole and I had to call them.  Better scheduling is needed.  Besides that, the team was responsive and answered questions.  System works great.

Called Angel for a softener inspection on my new (old) house. Had not owned a softener before. They suggested a replacement due to used media and worn valve. The replacement price and explanation seemed fishy so I got a second opinion from another local company with good ratings on Angie's List. The second company took their time explaining the system to me and said there was no reason to replace. They seemed genuinely confused why Angel would suggest such a thing. Angel then proceeded to call me and my wife for the next 4 weeks trying to get us to buy a system. Each time we politely told them no, we had another inspection and would not be doing a replacement, Finally I had to call the company and demand they stop calling us.

We moved into our house and discovered after several months that our dishes weren't getting clean, our sky and hair were dried.  Water softner system was needed.  I contacted several companies listed on Angie's list and we went with Angel.  They came out to test our water, and explained what was going on with our water.  I felt very comfortable with the sales person.  They were priced slightly higher than some other "well known" companies, but I felt very confident in what they were doing and how they were doing it.   I'm glad I went with them.  The two installers came shortly after we hired them and they were delightful.  They were very professional, explained what they were doing before they did it,  and after they finished installing it they spent a lot time explaining how the system worked.    It has been a year, and what a difference the softner makes in our water.  I just got a service light on the system and called and they will be here in two days for service.  Awesome!  <br />

Horrible.  This is a scam.  The technician came over, tested water and then told me that everything that we have in place is not working and that everything needs to be replaced.  When he was done, gave a quote for $3000 to "fix" things.  Then he said there was no charge for the service call today.  I then showed him the certificate from Angies List I printed out and how it called out all the things he was supposed to do.  And that I paid for that.  He said that more or less that since the system needed to be replaced, they would just credit us on the full new install.  He preformed only two of the 10 or so things that were listed on the certificate that Angies List said would be done. <br /> I called the office and told them I was upset at this.  Said they would have a manager call me back.  Two days later someone did, but I was at work at time and asked him to call me back.  Never did. <br /> Scam offer.  Do not use Angel Water.  Poor offer, sales call, and even poor management follow up even when I said I was going to give them a poor write up if no one got back to me. <br />
